Amazing. So much innovation, quality and attention to detail. I like the way the gmt hand shaft is camouflaged against the dial. Easily wort 11k - if you've got it.
Hope this checks the box for a lot of folks/collectors and its enjoyed, because it is very neat from the technical viewpoint. However, I think the market for this might be very niche.
Great review. I actually went into Exquisite Timepieces today expecting to walk out with the white birch high beat. After another look in the case I saw this one… amazing on wrist. Incredible dial. And like you said details that are hard to find in the price point. Great review!
I’ve never fallen in love with any GS. I think it’s the case shapes and the bracelets. They have beautiful dials Now I love chronographs. I have 7!! This checks all the boxes for me…Minus those pushers!! They are way too damn big
Beautiful watch. Another item I can't afford. If I ever hit the Powerball, my watch collection would largely consist of Grand Seiko's. Thing about watches is, as crazy as $11,000 is for a watch, I regularly come across brands I've never even heard of, that sell for $50,000 (or more). Subscribed.......on the strength of you mentioning the price......RIGHT up front. Seems most channels either don't mention it, or bury it 11 minutes into the video.
Man, this is a tough one! This is an absolutely beautiful watch! I like so much about this watch, especially that it's made of Titanium but that price, ouch! I just can't bring myself to spend $11,000 on it.
Normally I love Grand Seiko watches, but the pushers on this are nuts. It would make more sense to me if they were on the top like a bullhead. Call it the Hanya. At least that would make sense as art. This is just bizarre. A well done, awesomely executed uncomfortable strange unit…
I’ve tried on a GS with these pushers, and they actually don’t dig in at all on my 7.5 inch wrist. They look weird, but they are fit for purpose, though it’s a pain to unscrew them every time you want to use the chrono. But then, a certain Rolex has the same issue. About your bullhead idea - I would absolutely sell a kidney to get a GS bullhead! Somebody’s kidney, anyway…
GS is one of my favorites and I appreciate the flex and innovation. I don't don't mind the dial, and the movement is great...those pushers and crown though are horribly designed. Not only too long but they look uncomfortable. Surprised those were approved and pushed through.
It's an amazing piece, but I can't help but feel that in their effort to cram in as many features as possible, they've lost some of the beauty of their design. The dial isn't just busy, it truly looks like it's function at design's expense. Which may work for a tool watch, but we're talking about a luxury piece with some clear dressy elements...feels incongruous for that reason. Love GS though!
You can read the watch with no problem when you’re reviewing it on TV with the zoom. In real life, you need to have a magnifying glass. There are so many lines on that watch to try to read. That’s the total I paid for my 2018 sportster iron 883 including tax and delivery back in 2018. That’s a lot of money for that watch.
If I wanted a torture device, to dig deep into the back of my hand when I bend my wrist, I can get one for far less than 11 grand. Man that looks uncomfortable.
Definitely not for me. Those pushers and crown look like my 7 year old grand son designed them. 16.5 thickness for an 11,000 is absurd. Someone will fork over $11,000.00 dollars for it because it says Grand Seiko. I'm not that impressed with those 2 words.
What on Mt Fuji was Seiko thinking when it designed those pushers??? Way too big by a long shot on what is otherwise a beautiful watch. Oh well, not really my problem as I don't have $11,000 to spend on a watch.
Dial is way to busy. Can't tell what is what with white everything. I think its hideous but that's my opinion. 11 grand on that would be a terrible waste
Amazing watch! Nice review Rob!
Amazing. So much innovation, quality and attention to detail. I like the way the gmt hand shaft is camouflaged against the dial. Easily wort 11k - if you've got it.
Isn’t it almost 16mm thick? Nothing that expensive should be so ridiculously tall on the wrist

11k for a sht bracelet tho

Wow! Great video.
it's gorgeous.
Such a cool watch
No less than 8 dials. Me likey!!
I played it a quarter speed just to see how smooth the second hand was. 😊
Damn that's nice
Fits ya good 👌

@@Pete...NoNotThatOne yes - given a choice always sell someone else’s kidney.
Never seen pushers that huge...

This is my grail watch.
If this wasn't a Grand Seiko (a Japanese watch) you could say it's the Swiss army knife of chronometers)
Oh god!
pushers out of proportion. Why?
The One
I can probably reach deep into the couch cushions and find 11k 😀

only problem with this watch is no lume
I love their watches, but their chronographs don't speak to me.
Waaaaaay too thick but I love GS for the most part
Regular seiko quality control got worse when grand seiko became a thing
The dial is a little busy for my taste

Coming from Grand Seiko who are famed for refinement this is a bit of a carbuncle..but it's subjective of course.

I'm so glad I don't have to meet people like you in real life.
If my comment moved you emotionally that easy. Then mentally you're extremely weak. It's probably in your DNA.

too much on the dial...
Pushers and crown too long and ugly.
Pretty sure the bracelet is not quick adjustable (deal breaker as with most Seikos)
Not my cup of tea; way too busy.
Those pushers protrude way too far out.
So even at $11,000 Grand Seiko will cheap out on the bracelet and clasp. It has become pathetic at this point.
Great review
Junk watch. Buy a Rolex for that price

I really love your positive energy! You must be fun at parties LOL
@Floyd Morrison Hey, just giving my opinion. It's an ugly watch, what can I say.
