@@rickolson8405 I'm 63 here in Elgin IL. I loved sitting with grandpa while he watched The Guns of Will Sonnet, on tv. He also watched High Shapporal, on tv. He let me have a 7wiTh him on those nights. M

My Grandpa had a shoe repair shop right on the River in my hometown. My fondest memories are listening to his radio and waiting for the Cat's bell that alerted him to a fish on his pole behind the shop. Grandpa was a WW1 veteran and Mustard gas eventually got him in 1958 when he was 63. He and my Dad and Uncles gave me a lifelong appreciation for Hunting and Fishing. I didn't turn out to be a good fisherman but nobody enjoys it more than I.

These were GREAT as a kid the first time I heard them with my Pappy. Even better when I listened to them with my son. And...the best when me...my son...and his son listened to them. WIN-WIN-WIN. Thank you.

We listen to these old radio shows on family trips. Kids really enjoy them more than their electronics. Love giving them a piece of history and real talent to enjoy.

Perfect timing. At the very beginning of the first episode when the gun fired, a group of sparks flew out of the wood burning stove. Awesome

I like that cozy fire. I really liked the water hole battle episode, where the rain and the lightning came at the exact moments a selfish and unmerciful man needed discipline from God. Marshall Dillon said he was going to change his ways, after seeing the two amazing natural but well- timed events! Yes, I believe God uses His own creation as He wishes

Really luv these old time actors! They really had talent. A lot of them played on Dragnet, Have Gun Will Travel, and TV dramas as well. Thank u for these, nice to hear! Luv Bill Conrad as Matt Dillon💝💗💕

Amazing production under the Direction of Norman MacDonald and brilliantly performed by William Conrad. The story written by John Meston is a masterpiece of literature.

Really like all the old radio programs. All the westerns. The detective programs like Johnny Dollar. Old Dragnet radio programs. Love the commercials like cereal, most other one , EXCEPT I DESPISE THE CIGARETTE COMMERCIALS 😡👹🖕 THEY SOLD THE POISON TO MILLIONS AND MILLIONS DIED BECAUSE HOW COOL IT WAS TO SMOKE 😡 MY MOTHER WAS A YOUNG GIRL DURING THIS TIME LATE 40 S -- EARLY 50,S PERIOD. FROM A SINGLE MOM HOME WHO,S MOTHER ( MY GRANDMOTHER) WORKED SECONDS TO SUPPORT THEM. I KNOW IT WAS THE WAY THINGS WERE BACK THEN. THE MILITARY PUT CIGARETTE S IN THE TROOPS MESS MEALS. BUT WHEN I HEAR THOSE I THINK HOW BAD MY MOTHER DIED WITH LUNG TROUBLE BEING HOOKED UP TO OXYGEN FOR YEARS. I KNOW MOVIE STARS, TOBACCO COMPANIES DIDNT MAKE YOUNG PEOPLE SMOKE,( BUT AFTER A SHORT TIME THEY MADE MILLIONS TO CONTINUE SMOKING )

It is excellent. When I first started listening there were not commercials. Now today some have been added by those who aggregate programs like this. My only complaint is about Chester who often goes to the jail and he screws up and the prisoners get away. That way the story continues. It was a kind of gimmick.

    • @stu_boogie2488

That's because some cut out the commercials. I happen to like the old commercials.

Don't know about Chester always letting people escape jail. I've listened to very many shows. Not a lot of jail breaks.
