BTW, several people submitted winning names in all three places Shadow, Ghost and Whisper. The winners were selected based on when they submitted their names. The first one to submit the winning name gets the prize.
It's a 2024 goldwing, that's what it's called. Naming things like bikes, jeeps, RVs, is just juvenile imo. Grown men should know this. Honda makes a Shadow. Watch out for label infringement on future merch.
Fantastic name and congratulations to your winners. So many cool names to pick from but Shadow it is! Well done CM and thanks for giving us a chance to join in your contest. Catch you on the next video.
Wow, Frank, Brad, Hank and Nick all showed up for this one. Shadow is perfect and you need to put a vinyl shadow wing on the back !!! Welcome Shadow, to the Stable !!
Congratulations. You put a lot of work in this video and the naming contest. Whisper, Ghost were great names. I am very happy CM. Love it!!!! Shadow.... it rings well. Great job, Cruiseman. Name does not have to be branded on the bike. Not a requirement unless you are going to start marketing Shadow. Love the name and the world is now balanced.
You are of course definitely different from the rest of us, but I for one don’t love name you gave to the GW…. I know you are just having fun and all. Thank ‘wingstuff’ for the exciting part of your contest. ✌️😎JT
I feel honored to have my entry Alice (from Dallas) mentioned! Shadow is good and the reasoning sound. Congratulations and Mac can now sleep at night 🙂
For as long as I've watched your videos I don't recall if you named the 2018 bike you had. Your right about the name for the new bike making sense. My wife named my two bikes because I suck at it.
Love it. This is all in great fun. I love Cruiseman, Mac and even Wingstuff although I spend way too much money there. In the real world I don’t name my bikes and Mac, I still call curvy roads twisties, plus one of my favorite all time motorcycles was my1997 Honda Shadow ACE 1100 so shadow has a completely different meaning for me. Bottom line is who cares. It’s all a lot of fun videos and I can’t thank you enough.
The practice of naming motorcycles and cars, particularly in Southern culture, is part of a broader human tradition of personifying vehicles that dates back to the early 20th century. This behavior gained popularity with the rise of car culture in the United States, especially after the mass production of automobiles like the Ford Model T in the 1910s and 1920s. In the Southern United States, naming vehicles became deeply ingrained as cars and motorcycles were often seen as extensions of their owners' personalities, tools for independence, or even family members. Southern traditions of storytelling and personal attachment likely fueled this habit, making it more prominent in rural areas where people relied heavily on their vehicles for work and connection to the broader world. The trend likely intensified with the rise of car and motorcycle customizations in the mid-20th century, as owners began to see their rides as unique and deserving of names. Popular culture also played a role, with movies, TV shows, and music often showcasing named vehicles like Christine (from Stephen King's novel) or The General Lee (from The Dukes of Hazzard). So while it's hard to pinpoint an exact starting time, naming vehicles in the South became culturally prominent as car ownership expanded and as vehicles took on significant personal and social meaning in the early-to-mid 20th century.
You missed my entry “Maurice” for the Steve Miller’s song the joker for the verse “ Some people call me Maurice because I speak of the Pompatuce of love” And riding is love.
Enjoyed the video Cruiseman, it keeps my thoughts on riding considering it full on winter mode here in Mn. I do not name my bikes 08 24 wings other than dependable. Now that I think about Alice, as in "go ask Alice" would be a good fit for white wing.
Why would you cave to peer pressure.?...If You don't name bikes, why change now? ....I call all my Goldwings "Tupperware Specials" because of all the plastic panels that are a pain in the A.I never name my bikes and I've owned 40 or more..
You know, with over 65k subscribers, I’m really disappointed the bike didn’t end up with one of the following names or something like it. Ben Dover Hughe jaines Or kanye P. Init. Can we have a redo? And vote for the name?
Can't believe I'm gullible enough to have opened up this video. Utter banality. I have a 2024 white Goldwing and I would be the laughing stock if I were to give it a name. It's a motorbike. For crying out loud, grow up. The only good thing to come out of this, for me, is ensuring I'll no longer be watching any of his videos.

Hi Chris- Nicely done and excellent selection. It just fits. Mac will be pleased.
He did great, Mark. Seems like a lot of people are just opposed to having any fun in life. Life is just too short not to live it.
@@GoldRyderOne Hi Mac-Here's the good news. You and I are totally aligned with that philosophy. My plan today is to have some incredible fun.
A Shadow is usually black, Ghost is more fitting. But, your choice is good.

Honda Shadow? 🤔
I still say panda its white and black looked at and that bear came to my mind
I named my Goldwing also. It's called Bike.

I really like that choice… Congratulations… Now it has a handle
Congratulations steve, I’m gonna name my bike, which is the same exact bike, Rosie, after my mother, thanks for the idea, CruiseMan.
What a great choice wish I thought it up. Perfect name for you ride. I agree with Robert needs a shadow wing on the back or side.

Just a simple copy, cut & paste.
Shadow is the winner! Shadow it shall be. Thank you Rick at Wingstuff!
Glad you like the name

I will go back and look at my list, sorry!
If I wanted a Honda Shadow I'd have bought that instead of my Goldwing

I have a all black 2019 Gold Wing. The name popped into my head - "Miss Betty Boop". Don't know why...
Texas Winger⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🇺🇸 Now that’s a great name.
Hello what microphone is that? The make and model?

A white bike named Shadow? Maybe if it was black or gray.

If you like to give your bike name, that is fine. but to call it after another honda model?????????????????
A lot of haters out there. People have names for all sorts of things. Enjoy life you haters; you only have one.
