It's been a while since I last saw it, Datner was actually ok, Kushnir is the one who messed up, he's singing the same verse 3 times and Datner is trying to improvise around it, it's hilarious.
"Kupidon" 🏆 Orna and Moshe Datz (My favourite tune is "Yerushalem" actually, but I think they chose the wrong singer for it, so I would have sent Orna and Moshe Datz with "Kupidon" to Brussels.)
Ilana Avital would have been the best choice, very Italo-disco styled but her performance wasn't that good here. I can see the appeal in the song that won, but it was worth the risk.
Amazing how many familiar faces there are. If I'm not mistaken (and I don't think I am), that's Yardena Arazi and David Ben D'or co-hosting, just like they did in Jerusalem in 1979. Then, for the competitors, there's Izhar Cohen and (I think) the woman from Hakol Over Habibi, and a few early birds like Lahakat Shiru (who'd win in 1993) and Duo Datz (who'd win in 1991).
1. The Kdam 1987 was presented by Yardena and Yoram Arbel. It'is not the same guy as in the Eurovision 1979. The co-host of the ESC 1979 was Daniel Pe'er. 2. Izhar Cohen participated in the Kdam 1987 together with Vardina Cohen. The girl who sung with Hakol Over Habibi was called Shlomit Aharon and she didn't take part in Kdam 1987. 3. And finally, it's not Lahakat Shiru who took part in 1993. The 3 girls who sang the song "Shir" in 1987 were called Lahakat Shir. The name is pure coincidence but not the same.
