    I monotonously learnt the piano for the better half of a year.
    In 12 minutes and 13 seconds, this man revived my hopes & dreams. ✨✨

    I can't believe how much you've taught me in 3 lessons. I've improved so much in just a week. This was an incredible lesson. You are a wonderful teacher. I just got my piano after years of wanting one. You are fulfilling the dream of a 69 year old. Thank you

    You're a fantastic instructor! I'm a 41 year old Marine Corps combat veteran....and for my birthday this year...I wanted to learn to play the piano...
    Have ZERO musical talent, I can't read music...and I'm left handed...lol
    I've been watching your very basic videos now and just slowly moving into the others...but even being able to play a nice "C" chord (and even knowing what the heck that is) is something I've come to really enjoy...I love the sound of the piano.....and finally seeing more than just 88 black and white keys has been quite a fun adventure!!!
    Thank you for the time you take to produce these tutorials!!
    Semper Fi!

      Talent is overrated. To succeed at stuff, you have to be willing to fail at it long enough. Very few people have talent, they just have determination and I'm sure you have bags of that.

    Another variation: Left hand on the lower keys and shift the right hand pattern 1 or 2 octaves higher - or do 1 run with the lower octave and then progress the right hand up 1 octave for a run and then up an octave for another. Beautiful! Great vid/lesson Joseph! :)

    I was faffing about today in C# as I want to play a song I heard on the radio. Not being used to C# - argh - I faffed about to get comfortable with the chord changes. My husband walked in and said, “Wow, was that you?” Yippee. He never says that when I’m sight reading Czerny exercises - hahaha. Thanks, Josef, for inspiring my faffing.

      Some people can and others cannot. My mother could pick up a sheet and read and play straight off, even at 89 years old. She couldn't improvise or play by ear. It baffles me though how anyone can play complex stuff by ear...chords etc with left hand...no doubt some can...

    Lovely. Just a beginner but couldn't make it sound great until I noticed that you were playing the G chord twice per 'round' (I don't think you mentioned that). It made all the difference. Is there something interesting theoretically here? That is playing three beats to the bar but in blocks of four? (my music theory is very rudimentary) Thank you - Jeff

    • @Creativepianoacademy
      @Creativepianoacademy  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @kevinbirnbaum6460 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Creativepianoacademy Hey guy! Well, both - my hands are just better suited for playing the harmonica than a keyboard! I suppose inversion works, it's just that when you don't have that octave stretch you have to toss in a subtle shift of your arm or tilt of hand to get there - and even then no two notes at once. But considering the world in which we live today, I'm just glad to be here!! And you rock, by the way.

      Hi Kevin...just as a matter of interest, I'm 84 and just started working with these Tutorials for a while and what amazing inspiration and fast progress.
      I have very small hands, but have no problem at all doing Octaves now, which proves, it's just a matter of doing it. The more you do it, the easier it gets and you sound so much greater. The secret is never say "I can't do that"...just do it and give it time and you be surprised what you can achieve, when you thought it is impossible.
