Congrats on the VS lead! Lovely video, again (and very much appreciated the cute sheep at the end). ☺️
Well done Athena a VS is the start of getting serious you’ll be doing E4’s and above in no time! Spent many a time on the gritstone edges Curbat Froggatt and Burbar great times.
Thanks a lot Carl, I hope so!!
Good to see another vid 👌🏻. Quality as usual.
Thank you!
eeek I had my heart in my mouth on your VS congrats. I would have had to put in a 4th piece towards the top that was a definite ground fall potential.
dampwool2000 agreed!! I spent a while looking for somewhere to place gear but then felt I just had to get to the top.. would have liked another gear placement for sure! 😬😁
@@RambleFamily I often find it easier to just keep going rather than faffing about trying to get a piece of gear in.
A great video Nice edition and music and good boulders !!! Greetings!!!
Thanks a lot :)
Awesome work on getting your first VS lead! 💪🏼
Great job, well led.
Lovely video!
Love Bamford, I feel like it's less well travelled than places like Stanage and Froggatt so the grit is extra sticky :)
Yeah it's wonderfully grippy. I believe the place was jealously guarded by gamekeepers so the routes have had a few decades less hammer than other places.
That was so amazing.
Great film, we climbed at Baslow had the crag to ourselves. Perfect day for it if a bit windy, did the Gullies would recommend it.
Ah great! I’ve never climbed there before but will have to check it out 😊
Great song choice!
Amazing video ✌️
AS THE CROW FLIES HIKING thank you 🙂
Good lead, I did it on a single rope the first time and got awful rope drag. Have you tried the HVS just to the right of your route?
My Turkish Adventure I haven’t! VS is the hardest I’ve climber so far. My partner, Harvey did the HVS though 😊
I was hoping for an interesting climbing film. Instead I got the Keystone Cops. Or was it Benny Hill?
Well done 👍
you would probably find it a lot easier if you didn’t climb with such a big rack on a small climb
Great video 👍
haha totally agree! I need to practise reading the route better. At the moment I don't mind carrying a heavy rack as I'm learning but it's definitely something I should start considering :)
Athena Mellor it all comes with practice and more confidence in your placements 👍 the best I ever lead was an E1 (a long time ago) before caming devices and friends was Available 😀
Keep up your adventures you two look to be living the dream 👍
Do you think losing a kg of gear would make a big difference on a short climb? Perhaps climbers used to be weaker but with modern training (and climbing without a beer belly) people can do wonders on VS
Well done I take it Oslo has no helmet so he wasn't allowed go lol 😂
