- In MS Excel, cell references are used to identify individual cells or ranges of cells in formulas, allowing you to work with data dynamically. There are three main types of cell references:
1. Relative Reference (e.g., A1):
o Changes when a formula is copied to another location.
2. Absolute Reference (e.g., $A$1):
o Remains constant when copied, because of the dollar signs before both the column and row.
