None of these people want to talk to someone like me who grew up in the Baptist church and went to the nondenominational church as an adult but I’ve found joy in the knowledge of the restored gospel and it’s brought so much joy to my family and peace to my home.
My son decided to become atheist in his late teens.......this devastated me, but through prayer and temple, God guided me 'just love him', so I prayerfully did so. One day I walked into the living room and my son being on the computer looked up guiltily from watching some dark comedy....I looked at him and said: "son, your dad (who had died 6 years before) and I raised you to be an honest upright young man; you have the right to your free agency and choice to not believe in God, but that does not mean you should give up the good things you have been taught". Later I heard him talking to a fellow atheist and he said..."being atheist doesn't mean you should give up being a good person". YES!! So still many years later he is atheist, he is such a good man, and a great husband (he married his childhood sweetheart, an active lds woman who prayed about their love/marriage and felt guided to marry him). They have a loving relationship and respectfully accept each other: he supports her in her church activity/beliefs. She respects his agency.
All of our kids and grandkids chose to be loving, giving, charitable, and compassionate atheists. Those positive characteristics are not unique to religious people. I’ve witnessed it firsthand for 60 years. I think the term atheist has too many negative connotations.
@@Zeett09 Oh, that’s a hopeful attitude that in times past would work much of the time adequately enough bc society was mostly safe and balanced and not threatened by fringe ideologies plus, it was non-confrontational. This day and time though, we live more in a day of warning and we are warned about industrial strength and deadly addictions of all kinds and a plethora of shallow & destructive social philosophies; lies are portrayed as truth and truth portrayed as lies and one cannot believe the news or government to tell the truth but what they ‘want’ you to believe in spite of the facts or you will be censored or canceled or lose a job if you don’t fall in line and say the right thing or take a jab. The prophet says we won’t survive unless we have the the Spirit to guide us. So, continue to pray for them to realize that they and even the very elect can and will be deceived in our day. So, just as you would warn them to fasten their safety belts, warn, lead and drop lots of hints and be a confident example but, most of all don’t push them or they will likely waste time feeling like you’re forcing them to do what you want not what they want.
Thank you David. I was born and raised in the church all my life in the beautiful Island of Samoa. I am grateful for my family, my dear parents who did their best to raised 12 of us kids in the truth. I went on a mission and I am now married to my beautiful wife and three kids. I am now living in America but I am forever grateful for trials, temptations, that I face in life because it’s strengthen my testimony. Your videos help me to keep on focus and motivate to fight the evil temptations each day. Keep up the great work David and don’t ever stop!
I too M a convert from the Baptist Church. I accepted Christ. Studying the Bible I had one question, "why don't we have Prophets as in biblical times. According to Eph.4:11-14, we were to have the organization that Christ set up untill we were all perfect.Four years later I was a Soldier, the soldier who Slept in the bunk next to me invited me to go to church with him, we were late and as walked in they were singing "We Thank the O God for a Prophet" l asked "do you have a Prophet in your Church?" He said yes. Instantly I felt fire descend from heaven and I knew I had found the Church I was looking for!! I never looked back. I am 84.
My wife started down this path several years ago, she kept it secret from me. She was too afraid i would leave her. She destroyed her testinony and became cybical, hateful, and angry about any church leaders. She hears righteousness in the worst possible way and she is offended by any words from President Nelson. The struggle is real. I pray she softens and returns to God and me.
Keep doing all in your power to invite the Spirit, always showing her love, kindness, and seeing the beauty you remember is part of her. Hold tight to God's goodness and He will see you through as you continue to be faithful in your covenants.
“From 1820 on, Joseph Smith was steadily attacked in a pattern of accusations-followed by eventual vindications. The pattern continues. Just as prophesied, fools deride him, hell rages against him, and his name is “both good and evil spoken of”. This swirl needlessly preoccupies a few who seem to prefer chewing on old bones in the outer courtyard instead of coming inside to the resplendent, revelatory banquet, thus diverting them from giving due attention to Joseph’s mission as “a choice seer” - Neal A. Maxwell
I love this and every one of elder Neal A. Maxwell's talks! I am so grateful for the prophet Joseph! I love our Savior, Jesus Christ and our Heavenly Father!
I haven’t read the CES letter, but my understanding is that it is a letter written by a disgruntled person; Runnel, outlining his complaints against the church. CES stands for Church Educational System. According to my understanding, he wrote a letter to the church educational system. Everyone calls it the CES letter, but the CES didn’t write it. I think we should call it the “Rennel letter” instead because the Church educational system is an awesome organization.
The reason Jeremy created the CES letter is because he was on his mission and was confronted by various people who kept spewing anti Mormon lies. Lies like Joseph Smith was a treasure digger. Lies like Joseph Smith was a polygamist. Lies like Joseph Smith used a rock in a hat to translate the Book of Mormon. Then he tried to investigate further. He read Rough Stone Rolling, written by a faithful member. Turns out those anti Mormon lies were true. He was devastated. The Gospel Topic Essay’s were then published by the church validating the fact that the anti Mormon lies were in fact true. It was the GTE’s validating the CES letter that caused several members of my family to leave the church.
Rough Stone Rolling was written using many historical quotes provided years later by anti-Mormon apostates that were meant to harm the Prophet Joseph Smith and the church.
Your a good man David, here's the thing what I could never understand is, if people want to experience the world, then do it for a few years then put them side by side decide where you felt most happy. Then go with it whatever is best for you. But people that want to experience the world have to have an excuse to leave, like the CES letter then they can justify their actions. It's not me that's bad it's the church looks at this and this constantly trying to prove it to themselves and everyone else. In reality they are just like Satan who can't make it because of the choice he made, he doesn't want anyone else to make it either. There's only one thing worse than hell, and that's being there on your own. In the animal kingdom it's about safety in numbers better if your there with someone you know. If the world was all that it is crack up to be they would be to busy enjoying their lives, and would not be spending day and night angry about the church that in it's self should say something.
@@hcsnell1135 I’m not familiar with the entire content of Rough Stone Rolling. I’m simply saying that the items I mentioned were considered anti Mormon lies and then were deemed actually true by the CES letter and then validated as true by the LDS church. If you believe for instance that Joseph Smith was NOT a polygamist then you are going against the current belief of the LDS church. Jeremy was clear in his CES letter that as a 19 year old missionary he was told to fight the anti Mormon lies that Joseph was a polygamist.
Thanks for the truth about lying CES anti Mormon believers. The Spirit is my guide and Joseph Smith being a polygamist is what God wanted and Joseph wasn’t about to disobey!!!
Mormon Stories needs to be exposed by many more content creators... when your faith is ok, but not great, these mormon stories can shake the faith you do have, and in the end a lot of people actually find out the truth and come back, feeling that they have angered God so much, that they don't make that step to come back. I have been on the receiving end of watching anti mormon propoganda and it has shaken my faith many times, I always have come back, because I ended up finding out the real truth... My faith is pretty strong now and don't think there could actually be anything that could shake my faith anymore. What I have been through, there's no way I will turn my back on God, and Jesus Christ ever again. I love the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and it is the true Restored Church on the earth today! Well done David!
I've informed Mormon Stories numerous times that Paul Gregersen debunked the arrogant Egyptologist opinions against Joseph Smith by presenting proper interpretational understanding on translation. Mormon Stories ignored me every time.
Thank you, Agnes. Thank you as always, Brother David. I’m a bishop of the church here in California. I find great strength in your words and wisdom and testimony of our loving Savior, Jesus Christ. Love to you and I pray that you continue to preach and live the Gospel of Jesus Christ through your words and deeds. Our Redeemer is near ❤️🙏🏽
The very fact that people who leave the church can’t leave it alone shows that they are not happy or confident in their decision. They feel the need to constantly try to justify their decision and they need to get others to agree with them in order to feel better about what they are doing. People who have left the church can never be as happy in unbelief as those who never had it because they have been given the truth and have chosen to reject it. They have tasted of the fruit of the spirit. They have tasted the fullness of joy and peace and nothing else can compare to it. It will never sit well with them. They know the difference, so they feel the need to destroy the faith hoping it will quiet their conscience and allow them to live happily in sin, but The Holy Spirit will forever call to them and they know His voice. It is always the pattern of a people who have been given the truth and then turned away. They must destroy the people of God and then they turn on themselves and destroy their society.
I know many ex mormons, many have become so bitter and judgmental. It is true they become hostile and bitter. I am still friends with them but it is hard all they want to do is share something in church history they think we dont know about. I prefer to just live by faith in God , instead of mental judgement and bitterness
What else can you do but move on? Bitterness, unforgiveness, attack is not good for the body or soul. Buddhists, Taoists, stoicism, Christianity all teach this.@@dr33776
the exmos in neighborhood are bad neighbors - shut in, never say hi etc. they dont go out and shovel the elderly sidewalks, food drives, etc. just bitter
I also prayed for my sister in that prayer. I know why she left. I know that she still studies the bible but nothing more. She left trying to protect her son from some very bad people that were her husband's family. She was trying to protect her son from them. She had a bishop that said we can find you wherever you go through church records. So she stayed away from church. Now she will not have anything to do with the church. She blames all the church for not protecting her and her family. I know it was just a small number of people, but it has had a bad affect on her life by keeping her away from the church. I just keep praying for her. Putting her name in the temple and worrying about her. The Lord knows her story. He knows how best to help her. I put it in his hands and just love her. She is a good person. She still believes in Jesus Christ. But she has a hard time with other things. just pray she finds her way back
You can discern by the power of the Holy Ghost. You can judge what is of God and what is not. You dont have to throw yourself into the pit. You can discern as you go and as things come into your path an open up to you, you can duscern if it persuades to believe in God, love and serve Him, or deny him. How grateful I am for every community that builds up faith in the midst of such a war and commotion. Remember the promises of the temple in these last days. "In the world ye shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer. I have overcome the world."
Thank you for sharing this story. It's very encouraging to me, especially given that I have people very close to me who have gone down the same path as Agnes.
A MAJOR breakthrough the “fog!” I’m hoping MANY will see this video, and like Agnes, share their HONEST stories to counter anti-Mormon zealots who cannot just LEAVE - oh no, they must LEAVE and DESTROY! Why can’t they just leave and keep their negatives and bitterness to themselves? Why hurt others? Dehlin is primarily doing it for riches, but others are spreading misery. It’s amazing and so sad that they can’t “see” what they lost!
Grateful to hear you talk about this subject. So many get blinded by this. Satan doesn't want you to be happy. He will say anything to keep you from exaltation, because he never will.
The people that spew this learned this all their lives, and have the influence of the adversary. We just gotta forgive each other and have charity the true love of Jesus Christ for even he said only the Father is good and he only does what he sees the Father doing. I love to watch your shows, and am grateful to have a new brother in Jesus Christ ❤🙏💪
@danholmquist7747 Mark 10:18 “Why do you call me good?” Jesus answered. “No one is good-except God alone. The rich young ruler approached Jesus and asked, “What good thing must I do to inherit eternal life?” Jesus answered, “Why do you ask me about what is good? There is only One who is good.”
I am not surprised that you are targeted, David. You are a beacon of light and they would like for you to falter. The Book of Mormon was written for our day. So many Nephites left and joined the Lamanites. Their anger against what they had left, would stir up the Laminates. I just studied the Handcart Pioneers, gentiles and apostates were mocking and reviling them as they pushed their way to Zion. May we stay strong like the Handcart Pioneers.
@@Lomochenkoand you want so damn bad to tear David down to join you into outer darkness because you are so bitter and lost. What will you gain in doing so? You have flooded David’s comments with your negativity and an ax to grind blaming everyone for your free will that you have exercised to become an apostate. You are so bitter, angry and blinded. Shouldn’t you be happy now that you have chosen to be an apostate? Isn’t that what you wanted? Why are you so miserable? There’s no happiness in being disobedient to God. You blame your former Bishop, your family and friends for your detrimental decisions. Wake up and return to the good news of the restored gospel of Jesus Christ. Did you not learn anything from Agnes beautiful story as shared by David? Whose bias are you here with on David’s own channel by you doing satan’s bidding? Practice what you trying to preach first with more critical thought that lines up with God’s truth.
the ways of man are not the ways of God. the things of God cannot be understood by the spirit of man, for man considers them foolishness. critical thought is of man. faith in God and the discernment that comes from His Spirit is what brings us to the truth and confirms that truth to our spirit. David has received that. if you've heard any of his videos, his own personal bias for his entire adult life was AGAINST the church, so his position comes from the knowledge he has received from God. Please tell us about your bias and why you want the church to not be true so bad. @@Lomochenko
I agree the anti channels are so appealing they try to use attractive people to wheel people in just like the alcohol commercials etc. Its all a façade.
@@LomochenkoWhy be so bitter? Stop listening to the whispers of satan who does make it appealing to have a faith crisis as he celebrates causing confusion, tension and strife. From the beginning of time, Satan is succeeding leading many astray. God have warned us repeatedly how to avoid satan’s deception whose job is to steal, kill and destroy. Reject the devil and he will flee. Satan makes you feel shunned and disowned . You have free will and if you chose the ways of the devil, you cannot expect to be embraced for it. There’s consequences to your choices be it good or bad. Seek God’s council and follow the example of Agnes so you can overcome your Faith crisis. The devil is miserable and he’s on a mass recruiting. Pray and fast. I will pray for you to find your way back to the covenant path and you won’t feel disowned or shunned. God loves you and so do the saints and your family despite what Satan whispers into your ears, mind and soul. 🙏🏽❤️
Love it David. I think you are doing a great work renouncing deception. I agree that isn’t what we want to focus on. Surely it is more enjoyable to feast on the wonders of the gospel. That being said I do appreciate you talking about some of these things.
Dehlin makes alot of money for his TH-cam business.. on the backs of his guests. they need to have a conversation about receiving royalties depending on number of views.. dehlin is laughing all the way to the bank. Free marketing, free labor, free content.. its all about the money for that guy

@@LomochenkoIf you stayed in the 1 hour Sacrament meeting for 3 hours, you must have fallen asleep. 😂 Or maybe you really just don’t know of what you speak. That’s most likely it.
Received this in the temple today. "You are loved, you have always been loved, you will always be loved. There is no wrong you could do to cause me to stop loving you, for I am love, I am one with the Father who is love. I know you better than you know yourself. If you will ask me and trust in me I will show you your divine potential. I will never cease to invite you and prompt you to put off your natural state and turn to me in all your life challenges. You must be humble and teachable before me, as a little child, so when I reveal truth to you, you will hear me, believe me, and rejoice in it." If you are self centered, proud and rely on your own understanding, thinking you know better or more than me you will fall short of your eternal potential and exaltation. Trust me and give me a chance to show you that I am real and that I do know you and that you can learn from me. Remain faithful and never cease asking with a sincere heart, be still and listen, for I am with you always. Love, your savior Jesus Christ. Amen.
My 17 year old just decided to go inactive, and when he was telling me and his mom I was able to know that he has been watching mormon histories this podcast has cause or giving him a reason to stop going to church 😢 our hearts are broken because he appears to be "happy" now.
When in my teens in 1966 I went to Bountiful, Utah to be with my grandparents. I and a friend took the bus to see Temple Square and surrounding buildings. We heard a heckler on the corner spouting criticism and castigations of this wonderful church. I was soon in the Church Office Bldg getting into an elevator. There i found 3 distinguised men. I said to the tallest one, " We just left a man speaking aweful things about the church." He smiled and said, "Come and talk to my secretary". Then i said, "By the way, don't I know you from somewhere?" He chucked and said, "Well I don't know, but I am N. Eldon Tanner". I told his secretary my story. Then she said, "Honey, if you only knew how many converts we gain from those men saying untruths on those street corners. The honest in heart investigate and feel and learn the truth of the gospel. We don't worry about those people. God's truths always come through". So I don't worry about them either.
The idea of contempt has been on my mind a lot lately. The more I think about it, the more I recognize it as the poison it is. Even when listening to people I agree with, if they talk about others or societal issues with contempt, the more my spidey senses start to tingle. If you think about it, I can't think of a single instance when Jesus spoke with contempt. Even Nephi never spoke of his brothers with contempt, even though that is definitely the feeling we get from Laman and Lemuel with everything that concerned Nephi. Lesson? Beware of the Spirit of contempt.
thank you for going through 47 years trying to find the true church so you can have this amazing testimony, the channel with your work is so good and the Holy Ghost is working in your message. don’t ever stop bearing testimony, your helping so many people to Jesus. A true missionary.
I saw the start of an episode with a couple and talking about pornography. They werent against it. They were for it, including the host who openly said he watches. That it was healthy. Lolol. What a load of crap. NO Christian denomination is in support of this in any form. I knew it was a "devil's" podcast from that point on. Blocked it totally. By their fruits ye shall know them.
So grateful to have you David, and Agnes, in the Lord’s ark in these latter days. Satan will do anything to tip us out. How subtle are his ways. Grateful Agnes had the discernment to see the deception and jump back on. I’m so grateful that many years ago, just days before my baptism, which I nearly cancelled because of it, I had to put the quandary and wrestle of polygamy to the Lord. And he replied so clearly and beautifully with an outpouring of His Spirit and counselled me it wasn’t anything for me to worry about and I shouldn’t let it stop me from joining the Church. So I let it go, got baptised and have had such rich spiritual blessings ever since. I chose the way of Life. Had I chosen not to get baptised I know I would be beyond miserable and probably dead today. The Church is the highest manifestation of God’s truth on earth and it’s a privilege to belong. Brilliant post David, so uplifting and strengthening. God bless you 🙏
I love that Australia puts those pictures on a package of cigarettes. Not having smoking in TV ads… I think helped here… but nothing like what that would do!!
There is a guy who does videos super sweet nice guy . D Todd Christopher told him he was a peace maker . He is an evangelical and gay . He loves the Book of Mormon and he has many member friends and had them on his you tube . He is really sweet . He went on mormon stories and pretty much told off John Dehlin . It was funny . To me John Dehlin was not a threat . His show is ridiculous . His guests basically have nothing to say . But John Dehlin as really changed lately . He is crazy now . He teaches there is no Jesus now . He is a true devil now . He is just crazy now . All people need to heed him not . I remember those Marlboro advertisements . Most everyone smoked in the 50 even doctors . That changed a lot when the warning was put on . They even had candy cigarettes . You could not go anywhere people didn’t smoke except for members . I’m so glad it changed . And non smoking was made in many places . I grew up in the 50 and 60 too . I was always so greatful for the word of wisdom . But my brother left the church and he started smoking . I’m glad this sister came back and saw through that mist of darkness . Thanks for sharing her letter .
@@tilkanuts Thanks for the suggestion. That option is brought up by sliding the mouse arrow over the video image and title, and then clicking on the three vertical dots which appear by the upper right-hand corner of the title.
I almost exactly three years ago, I came across some information on race and the priesthood that didn’t sit well with me, teachings from the Journal of Discourses (mainly teachings from Brigham Young) that were/are really troubling. What I was reading contradicted what I believed about God loving everyone, and not being able to understand how God would allow someone who was a prophet and supposedly His own mouthpiece teaching doctrines that the church even now doesn’t support, yet was supported for 100+ years. I did more study on those church history/early doctrines (blood atonement, seer stones, polygamy and polyandry, The Council of 50, the Kirtland Safety Society, and many others, and realized that the church wasn’t at all what I had believed it was. This was a real struggle because I was a lifelong member, served a full time mission and was a very obedient missionary, served in many callings including many leadership positions, actually did home teaching/ministering, and considered myself one of the stronger members. While I can appreciate this woman’s experience shared here, I don’t think it’s at all reflective of what a lot of post/ex members experience. After I stopped going to church, I wasn’t what would be considered to be “completely happy/joyful.” My entire worldview was gone. My family contact reduced greatly as I was the only one who had left the church at the time. My friend circle reduced greatly as there aren’t many people in my northern Utah area like myself. Three years later, am I happier now than I was then? Absolutely, but that took time and a lot of study and self reflection. It came after talking to people with all kinds of beliefs and from all walks of life. It took reading not just religious books (many and perhaps most of which have been written by or endorsed by the church) but other books and essays as well on the history of mankind and religion in general. It took experiencing some things that I once believed were “sinful” to understand that so much fear is put into these “sins” by leaders and members. I’m open to discussing this with anyone/everyone. Automatically discounting someone/something by being “anti-Mormon” is no way to actually learn anything. I am open to all sides of a discussion, and feel much better off because of this approach.
The ultimate devil goal is to make you lose your testimony and your generations and forget about God and end up descending to the lowes places you never imagined. I've been fighting the devil on this same front and against all kinds of lies. I just know that I know. Even Joseph Smith said that, too. I can not deny the supernatural beautiful encounter with the Holy Ghost in the Temple at the time of receiving my sacred endowments. That's was so powerful, so joyful so real. There, I knew God was real. I don't believe anymore I KNOW IT.
I have a niece that left the church within a couple of years after marriage. She was never totally committed and I'm pretty sure never felt the influence of the Holy Ghost. She is now standing front and center, leaning over the rail of the great and spacious building, pointing and mocking those who are "blinded". Her Facebook profile picture immediately changed. She was now wearing a tank top with a new shoulder tattoo and raising a glass of alcohol as if to say "now I'm happy". It is so disturbing to me that she has chosen this path. It is converts like you, David, that have seen both sides that really appreciate and can know the difference between Godly happiness and worldly "happiness" which is just disguised moments of fleeting pleasure.
Thank you David. Everytime i hear to talk about the Church of Jesus Christ of latter day saints, it uplifts my spirit. And to Agnes welcome back to the fold. Thank you for sharing your testimony.A month ago, i noticed myself defending the chirch through the comments in all forms of social media. And i realize the it builds up contention. And we all know that contention is of the devil. You’re correct, if we drink this kind of videos even though you are defending the church, it will weaken your testimony. I’ve know some people who left the church. It started from defending the church from social media, to questioning the latter day prophets, to leaving the church. Sadly, once they left the church they will never join any other church because they know themselves that the only true church is the one who founded with prophets and appstles with true authority.
I joined The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints when I were 25. Once I met the missionaries the propaganda seemed unavoidable, it was coming at me from all directions. Online, in person, from my family, from irreligious friends. Lehi’s dream helped me, when Nephi meets the angel and said they didn’t fall astray because they listened not. I’m always willing to talk if it will help.
I was a member for 23 years. I had ups and downs. When i left i was at a dead end job, and so was my girlfriend. And we were unhappy. Now 5 years out, im a curator at a museum, married and my wife is in vet school. Life is fantastic. Im not saying leaving will make you happy. But it definitely didnt hurt me.
You have not yet seen the eternal fruit of your choice, dear brother. Live for this life...and you miss your eternal potential destiny. Live for eternity, for the Celestial Kingdom in this life...and Eternity rewards you. Eternity is a long, long, long time. Much love, David
I appreciate this conversation. I think it's inspiring. We believe in the continuation of that war in heaven is here on this earth.. You don't know what you don't know.. reminds me of this dialogue between a atheist councilor and a angel of darkness named Nepharious.. The atheist said, "i didn't know we were in a fight" And Nepharious replied, "and that's why you're losing"
What also gets me is I studied & took lessons for 2 months prior to baptism but someone who watched a couple TH-cam videos feel so much more informed and told me that I was the one who needed to do more research
My stepdaughter left the Church as she went through a very nasty divorce. Her bishop would not listen to her side of the story, even though General Authorities have said that bishops should listen to both sides. Her soon to be ex-husband put on a show of piety and had a number of people in the ward convinced for a time that he was right, and she was wrong. I was trying to give him the benefit of the doubt to a certain extent hoping that the supposed misunderstandings would clear up. Then he started accusing me of hacking into his computer so that he couldn't do his job and therefore could not afford the alimony and child-support, like that made any sense whatsoever. At that point, I concluded that he had simply lost his marbles. However, the damage was done. My stepdaughter wants nothing to do with the Church and enjoys drinking with her second husband. Most of their children are not active in any church. The one that is active got married in the Temple. Neither of his parents could attend the ceremony (though they did attend the reception outside the Temple), the mother because she had left the Church and the father because in his bitterness, he has tried very hard NOT to fulfill his obligations to a former spouse, as required in the Temple Recommend interview. It is very sad. As for my wife and I, we remain faithful in the Church and give whatever encouragement that we can. The anti-Mormon stuff is out there for anyone who needs an excuse not to believe in the Church and my stepdaughter quotes from it from time to time. But we heed it not.
Have added "Agnes" to The Palmyra Temple. 25:00 My wife and I recently finished our mission to Nauvoo aa Temple Missionaries. _I know The Holy Temple is TRUE !!_
Thank you for speaking about the beauty of this church. It is the gospel of Jesus Christ, people can turn anything into looking evil. I love your testimony! President Nelson calls a world without the Lord offers a hollow substitute for happiness.
David although you havent been to the temple but will soonest Here's another anti-lds. Oh they feel so proud and full of scorn exposing sacred temple rites. I feel so much sorrow for their actions. That garbage podcast is "cult consciosness". I appreciate your podcast. Thank you for all you do brother and others like you that belong to the church using your podcadt to share goodness. God bless.
There was a group "ex-mormon's for Jesus" in Santa Ana Calif. Ends up that none of them were ever members. Remember - there is so much out there that a non-member with a grudge can act like a former member of the church. Don't believe that all these were ever real active converted people. So it's kind of funny that they go to such effort to act as if they were ever members.
"Ex-Mormons for Jesus" was started by Ed Decker, creator of the Movie "The Godmakers". In the beginning they were real ex-Mormons, but what has happened is that nowadays most ex-Mormons become atheist/agnostic rather than finding another Christian church to follow. How do you keep a group going if you can't find any ex-Mormons who follow Jesus?
Thanks David... Wonderful story this morning.... early this morning I was able to go to do an endowment for one of my ancestors in the St George temple as I sat there I thought about you....and I wondered what you would think of the wonderful presentation and gift from the Lord as I watched and participated in the endowments.... it won't be long... Thank you for your testimony and the videos that you present to us.
That's creepy about Dehlin knowing who she was. The accusatory spirit is on his game big time right now. Some times it's not fun even being in the right place because of the fish bowl of members and their issues now
Unfortunately, my daughter and her husband have already gone down the Mormon storie/CES (cesspool stories) road. I pray they will see the truth through all the lies. They aren’t happy, happy, happy since they left.
Personally I'm energized and excited to explore the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I've researched many of the anti narratives and they fall apart under examination
@Freddy78909 I hope you get a chance to attend a Sacrament meeting at your local ward and meet with the missionaries. I want to bear my testimony to you that everything you hear Br Alexander say/teach/expound on about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is true!!!! It is a total joy to watch someone's pure absolute joy as the full and living gospel is brought into their lives! Much love in Christ to you!
@@Nikkiotero Thank you! It's so refreshing to read positive comments on social media. My best friends growing up were Mormon and they were the kindest people I've ever known. There was a light that shined from them that was almost visible as weird as that sounds. They inspired me to research and eventually attend an LDS church
@@Freddy78909 I understand exactly what you're saying. I am a convert. My best friend in High School was LDS, we're still very good friends to this day. Her family was always so warm and kind and the light emanating from them was real and unmistakable. They truly loved Jesus Christ with everything in them and strived to serve Him diligently and their example showed me how I wanted to live my life. They introduced The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to me and 47 years I haven't looked back. I'm so grateful for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, it is my joy, comfort, and rock. I cannot imagine my life without The Church, it is now a part of my DNA. Much love in Christ to you!
The Comback podcast has many people like that couple that return. Very uplifting personal stories. There is no other church with the leadership and members as we have. Glorious doctrine.
LOVE the vast springs of the Missouri River in western Montana. I found the highway 87 between Havre and Loma to be enchanting on the late summer afternoon that I saw it. Stayed at Ma's Hotel. Three rooms but I needed only one. That hotel was clean, well appointed and just a great value.
Thank you so much for this. This video really touched my heart, invited the spirit into my home and brought so much light to my day. I’m grateful for Agnes’ story which related to that of my wife when she left the church and the reasons she came back. I also love that you include song and prayer. It brings so much peace to your message. Much love and gratitude.
I look forward to the day when you move past discussion of the "anti-mormon" propaganda. I love hearing you discuss the restored gospel, your understanding, and the insights you've gained since joining the church. This anti-mormon focus is not very uplifting. I get it though, there are those who need to hear this.
I agree, Helmans. It is tiresome to have to address this stuff.... if everyone would simply obey the Prophet's clear direction...there would be no need....but so many just wander around on TH-cam, as if it is a "safe space", and just gobble up whatever they come across...and most of what is there about the Restoration is absolute rubbish...with evil spirits behind it...and it simply devastates people. So this stuff...simply has to be denounced and exposed, abundantly and regularly. I am with you, though....it is MUCH MORE WONDERFUL....to simply "Delight in the Truth"... But you can't only have one side of the coin...to truly "Delight in the Truth", we have to also "Denounce Deception", however unpleasant it may be to do so! Much love, David
the youth are bombarded with this stuff. David is at least recognizing it and helping many of them. Most parents are clueless because they never grew up with more than a few attacks on their faith. Youth today by age 14 are hit with hundreds of anti propaganda ......and the CES letter has been very effective in taking down the youth
David, I'm so happy this dear Agnes felt the love of the Lord guiding her back to the truth. It's wonderful she heard and listened. Thank you for a good ending. I feel for John and his associates because he was on a mission and once had a testimony. I fear for their souls. I wish he would repent and come back before it's too late. How can we help those chained by Satan. It's sad. I guess we can pray for them, but it might be too late. I remember in the Book of Mormon it states that once enlightened by the Holy Ghost and then turn against that light, it would be better if they had never received it. 😢
We can’t hide from God. This is the thought that keeps coming back into my mind. Psalm 139:12 ‘...but even in darkness I cannot hide from you’. A lot of us will try to run and hide and maybe we can for a season, but ultimately we will be brought to account and we will have to reconcile with him. What a wonderful thing that God gives us many chances to come back and he will receive us with open arms. He has the power to save us and heal us. The people from Mormon stories and other such communities just want to use us to their own advantage. They don’t care for you. They have no foundation and do not have the power to support you or save you. They will abandon you on the day of accountability.
I was listening to a wealthy lds woman who seemed very sincere about the subject at hand. Then she started inserting how she had left the church and felt so free....at that point she told her own story instead of the subject at hand and I turned it off because I felt sad for her thinking she was free when she had entered a trap that would steal her away quietly into misery. Oh but she has her beautiful home and plenty of money and now she was 'free' of the restored gospel.......so so sad.......
Don't believe those comments that say : exmormon here; most are liars, and if he/she was then simply, they were never converted! The ultimate goal of satan is to make you lose you're faith and blessings and your kids' blessing, yes, your posterity! then yourself found without nothing. Don't feed them just live the Gospel. I'm a lamanite here. Love to you all❤
If you listen to the Mississippi bishop talk he doesn’t sound happy or relieved. You watch this unfold, I have seen it over and over and they most often end up divorced and his kids a mess. Hope not but it usually doesn’t go well.
By the power of the Holy Ghost you may know the truth of all things……..truth is light and his gospel is the truth and the way to Heavenly Father…… love her testimony
Thanks, David! Good advice. "False compassion at it's worst" is a perfect description of their tactics. I also highly recommend discussing fears and concerns with fellow Saints. At this point, most of us have been bombarded with anti- and ex information so we can talk about how we think through it together. Usually discussing in person is best. TH-cam used to have a feature to block channels. Now you can hover click on the three dots that will come up when you hover over a thumbnail video, then click on the three dots and select "Don't Recommend Channel."
If The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints isn't the true church, then which church is true? I know that evangelical Christianity or any other religion that professes Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior does NOT contain the fullness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. None of them. Heavenly Father is not the author of confusion or contradictory doctrine. Christian churches do not even contain Jesus Christ's name in the name of their church,is this ok??? I dont think so!! Heavenly Father's ways are not man's ways. To be a follower of Jesus Christ takes faith and obedience. Life is not meant to be decadent, to follow your own path without any consequences, or to have an "eat, drink and be merry" mentality. Life is a probationary period where we are supposed to prove our worthiness to regain Heavenly Father's presence. Life is meant to bring eternal joy not fleeting happiness. So what would it be? Which church is the true church? Where would the comfort be found? Which Christian denimination would it then be? One pastor will say they have the truth which will contradict what a the reverend down the street will say. I cannot believe that Heavenly Father would leave us here on this earth without the true church, without true doctrine, without anything to guide us as we go through our trials. No navigation, no guiding light. If it were left up to the naysayers, then we're all screwed. Badly. They offer absolutely no hope but confusion and bitterness. Without The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, we wouldn't have The Book of Mormon, we wouldn't have temples, The Holy Priesthood, there would be no Prophet or Apostles. The naysayers have absolutely no better alternative, or doctrine that gives me hope, faith, comfort nor do they provide me a roadmap to guide me safely back to Heavenly Father. There is discord among them and certainly no plan of salvation. You're left without a life preserver but told you don't need the life preserver in shark infested waters. They have absolutely nothing to offer but loss of faith, emptiness, and lots of anger and bitterness. I'm realizing that for many of the naysayers, it's more about rebelling against the true gospel rather than not believing it. Not that there are some who don't believe, but there are many who rebel AGAINST it. It seems those who come back always seem to say the same thing. "I knew deep down that The Church is true". As for me and my house, I choose to FIRMLY hold onto the iron rod of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
As much as I believe centering the name of our church on Jesus Christ is so important, when we did so, we handed ‘Mormon’ (the term most of the world knows us by) over to the anti-Mormons.
Honestly for me it's been a plus, because I can usually immediately tell if a TH-cam video is for or against us based on if they use "Mormon." I don't think they can even help themselves, they don't want to call us by the Lord's name. But hopefully eventually the rest of the world will catch up in knowing us by our rightful name.
@@LindyLime Oh I agree, but most of the world doesn’t know we go by Latter Day Saints. When they go looking for information on the church, they search the term, ‘Mormon’, which leads them to the anti-Mormons, who are more than happy to give them the “truth”.
David GREAT sinister voice... Future or concurrent project... Read a chapter a day from the book of Mormon to make a full reading listenable with your own version of dramatic voices ... Along with the praising and righteous ones too, of course
I am grateful that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the church of Jesus Christ, not the church of Joseph Smith or the church of Brigham Young or President Nelson. The same way that I’m grateful that the original church wasn’t the church of the original twelve apostles that disputed who was the greatest amongst themselves, or the church of Peter who denied knowing Christ three times.
Brother David, I greatly appreciate your videos! You are empowering and strengthening so many. I wanted to let you know that you can remove channels from showing up as recommended videos. I, too, was sick of seeing them on my suggestion feed. What a difference!! 🙌🙌 Keep up the great work. We love you!
The picture of the couple, shows that the Prophet is right. He said if you don’t live your life in a way to have the spirit guide you, you will be deceived and fall away, and now you see he was right.
I have been following you ever since I heard your conversion story. May your light continue to grow ever brighter and never dim. Would like to meet you someday in this life or the next.
Everybody needs something to blame for their problem. Something to blame for their happiness, something to point. The finger at it's always something. Even though they have choice, they can freely choose and do whatever they want. They always point the finger and blame something or someone else is the reason or the culprit for their problems. Or anything other than the truth.
The ONLY thing you can get outside of The Church Of Jesus Christ Of Latter-day Saints that you can't get as a member is acceptance and even praise for pursuing the pleasures of the flesh, which pleasers Paul said to put to death. Paul also said that those who have not the law, but do by nature the things in the law, are a law unto themselves. So this church, which is teaching and DOING the commandments of Jesus Christ and God, feeding and clothing the poor and needy, visiting those in prison, being baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for a remission of sins, laying on of the hands, partaking of the sacraments, paying tithing, ect., then we are far better off than those who are claiming to be true followers of Jesus Christ, and have to true knowledge of and personal relationship with Jesus Christ, yet don't do anything Jesus Christ instructed and commanded. It will be more tolerable for us in the day of judgment than for them, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Sidon than for them.
I am 84.
Great story!
I can't even imagine. She will get tired of being unhappy....just let the Spirit work with her.
Keep doing all in your power to invite the Spirit, always showing her love, kindness, and seeing the beauty you remember is part of her. Hold tight to God's goodness and He will see you through as you continue to be faithful in your covenants.
I pray for her heart to soften. Keep the faith! Our Father has a plan for her.
Same with my brother and his family. So sad. I pray for them too.
This is so hard😢
Please don’t get discouraged David. Please don’t get discouraged anyone. One of the devil’s greatest tools is demoralization.
isn't that what this guy is doing?
What guy are you referring to?
Thanks for sharing Agnes’s❤ story and testimony. Wonderful
Thank you for sharing Agnes’s letter. We need you Agnes. The restored gospel of Jesus Christ and his church is wonderful!!❤️
Thank you, David.
May the Lord bless you for holding fast to the Iron Rod and sharing love and truth.
Buddhists, Taoists, stoicism, Christianity all teach this.@@dr33776
the exmos in neighborhood are bad neighbors - shut in, never say hi etc. they dont go out and shovel the elderly sidewalks, food drives, etc. just bitter
Agnes, thank you. I have hope for my loved ones lost.
Brother David, thank you for sharing your testimony of Chirst, and Christ's Church.
But she has a hard time with other things. just pray she finds her way back
Blessed is he who heareth the word and doeth it. Thank you for speaking truthfully.
Bless you, David. You were born for such a time as this.
Delin is an anti christ, a priestcrafter, a money grubber.
Classic, priceless story - Agnes you are loved and thank you for having the courage to return -
Grateful to hear you talk about this subject.
There is one good… That is God” I think he was talking about the Father, Son and Holy Ghost.
I'm sorry I used that wrong. Jesus was giving to glory to the Father, and I totally missed it.

I'm with you brother! Never watch John Dehlin. Much better things to do with my time. Never watch the Jeremy Runnells nonsense either.
Thank you for all your insight and testimony..I hope you get to General Conference in April. Hello from Montana!
What a great story! Thank you Agnes and David!
What a Wonderful Story!! I appreciate what you are doing David! Spot on again ny friend!
I'm so grateful for your testimony.
@emilybailey4283
Amen to that! ❤
Love you David and your channel.
Keep it going.
I too have Mormon stories show up on my feed, no matter how many times I try to do it. I can't seem to stop it.
There's an option on youtube 'don't recommend channel', I did that to Mormon Stories forever ago. Never have to deal with it or anything like it.
David, thanks so very much for your valiant efforts to defend the church. May God bless you, Sir!
Bear your testimony instead of trying to defend. I have done this many times.
Lost many many friends and family to the John Dehlin church. It’s very sad. I never comment on these forums but appreciated this video.
As a latter-day saint member myself, we respect your agency. Just never fail to be a good person continually♥️
I appreciate this conversation. I think it's inspiring. We believe in the continuation of that war in heaven is here on this earth..
You don't know what you don't know.. reminds me of this dialogue between a atheist councilor and a angel of darkness named Nepharious..
The atheist said, "i didn't know we were in a fight"
And Nepharious replied, "and that's why you're losing"
"There is a lot of darkness in him" (John Dehlin)
Some of this reminded me of a scripture I read today from 2 nephi 2:13...thanks david...good job!
The spirit is strong with truth as I feel from you.. Mormon stories feels evil and wrong.. the church is true. ❤
Many of us converted from nondenominational churches and we don’t “make a living” trashing the churches we came from.
God bless.
She was feeling the spirit, gently guiding her back
I love how you describe this. Thank you.
I’m sharing this link in all of Mormon stories comment section.
@Freddy78909
I hope you get a chance to attend a Sacrament meeting at your local ward and meet with the missionaries. Please know that everything The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is all about is all about ..Jesus Christ, our mediator to Heavenly Father!
@@Freddy78909
I understand exactly what you're saying.
@@Nikkiotero I think the light is the Holy Spirit! Thanks again for the encouragement and God bless 🌟

I agree, it is the light of The Holy Ghost! All the best to you!!!
David, I want to thank Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ for you. You are a child of God
This is awesome! You’re an amazing person!
Mormon stories is very dark and nothing but lies.
Huh, I left a long time ago, and feel pretty good😊
Thank you so much for this.
I think this was a good discussion. It is needed. David does great work and this mormon stories stuff happens. Keep it up DAvid God bless
@@IdaPendleton-mn5hhI love the goodness of your heart, Ida. God bless you. ❤
Thank you, David! ❤
Thank you, Agnes! ❤
Another great video David! Keep it up! You have such a great perspective on these things!
David
GREAT sinister voice... Future or concurrent project... Read a chapter a day from the book of Mormon to make a full reading listenable with your own version of dramatic voices ... Along with the praising and righteous ones too, of course
That awesome about Agness coming back.
David your voice is a warning from the watchtower. I just hope it's heeded. Keep going brother we love you in UK❤
dang it...I can't imagine how people can be so fool... Do they lack of the basic sense of self-preservation?
If the church was not true we would not see all the headwinds against our faith.
