    Awesome accomplishment! Love to see a church layman store up so much of God's word in the heart and mind. I really like that quote: "maybe it's not what you do with it, but what it (Bible memory) does to you. 17:20

      Yes, I liked that quote as well.

    I have memorized a few of Paul's letters by rote and am now placing them in memory palaces for the purpose of keeping them separate. This interview was very helpful:) Thanks!

    This was great!!!! Thank u Josh and Carlin! Loved the explanation of the memory palace and compressing and most of all having the Word wash us and renew are minds. We memorize and know Scripture so that we can know God more and be more Christlike. Love it!

    A very good interview. Interesting that some of these techniques come up in small uses as we try to memorize, but so far I have not put them into full use routinely. Inspiring!

    I am trying to memorize the Psalms in Hebrew and selected proverbs in English. I am finding it much easier to memorize the psalms in Hebrew in order even tho it’s not my native tongue than the selected Proverbs. I think it’s because I have nothing to hang the proverb on but there is a logical flow and rich imagery in the psalms.

    Hey there! Really, enjoy your content! Fellow Contant creator here, and I want to record some type calls like this. What software do you use to record your video calls like this?

    Another thought, using the POA method when using the same palace. P-person. O- object, A-action.
    The verses is the loci in the palace, each room should have 5 locations. Books can be a person, chapters can be object that your holding.

    Anyone know what version he memorized? I tried looking up his quotes but they were kinda mixed and no clear version popped out. Ex like Majority Standard Version or BSB or something

    When you guys use memory palaces, don't you feel if you wrote your story down ONCE, then IF you ever forget a story you can relearn the SAME story? Isn't there a benefit to write or sketch your story? Thank you

    • @BibleMemoryGoal
      @BibleMemoryGoal  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I’ve done that in the past. I’ve also learned that I change my palace images over time and I realize which words or phrases I forget most.

    How does the memory palace work for people who don’t have a strong visual memory? I can’t visualise things very well, and I wonder whether this method would be possible for me.

    • @BibleMemoryGoal
      @BibleMemoryGoal  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I'm not sure. I don't run into too many people who don't have a strong visual memory.

      It still works. Anthony Metivier a memory expert ( who Josh has interviewed) talks about this. On his channel. Dont be discouraged its been done😁

    Smh... Self-glorification is the only purpose of rote memorization of scripture. In this video, he is revealing that what he memorized he does not grasp nor apply.

    • @BibleMemoryGoal
      @BibleMemoryGoal  9 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      That's unfortunate that you've somehow come to that conclusion. Scripture actually provides plenty of great reasons to memorize Scripture and we have the example of Jesus to follow.

      It seems you're the one who doesn't grasp or apply scripture with your comment. A little glimpse into your heart..what a poor example
