He wants an application to take suo motu cognisance of the matter! As for the current Armed Forces, they are politicised. Gone are the days when the Army was respected.
Actually the problem lies with the army officers, they are not taking the matter seriously. Army chief should intervene in this matter and should come into the public for the media interaction, it's a high time many of such incidents have happened in the recent past.

A serving soldier was stripped and thrashed in a Jaipur police station last month.
A serving Major was picked up in front of his family and thrashed in a police station in Gwalior recently. Had exemplary action been taken a message would have gone to police personnel across the country and this case in Odisha would not have happened.
Haven't heard any statement from the Raksha Mantri or the Army Chief.
