  • Hi Guys!
This week we're going to try something a little different. In this video, come along with myself and LewDix Aviation for a full length POV flight as we attempt some pattern work at Orlando Executive Airport in a Piper Warrior PA28-151 (N32042).
The pattern was EXTREMELY BUSY on this day, so things don't go entirely to plan, but it was a fun day, regardless.

good tip there not to rush setting your flaps up if you have extended your downwind. Great video, especially liked the POV and the unedited footage it was very insightful.

It’s not exactly the video you intended to make but I found it actually more interesting to watch how you and ATC deal with such a full traffic pattern instead of regular “boring” pattern flying.
Btw. the camera angle feels almost exactly like a flight sim with head tracking - or probably more like the other way round. 😁

It's interesting hearing your checklist versus the one I'm using here in CT. It's basically the same steps, but worded differently. Kinda fun to listen to that honestly. Also fun that I'm noticing that after having flown a Piper only three times so far.

Awesome vid! After 1 minute I was already cracking up. Guys, quick question. I'm a private pilot that has not been flying for about 20 years now. Yes, 20 years. Thinking of getting back into it. Do you guys use terminal area charts and sectionals these days or is it all on tablets?? I've heard that the paper sectionals are a thing of the past. Subscribed!

I was thinking "Why doesn't ATC ask you you to make a 360 instead of sending you to a different state on the downwind" and then she said it. Her brain is different from mine, I could never juggle all those aircraft faffing around in the sky, it would be mayhem. I also thought that it must be really gratifying and rewarding for an instructor to see a former student do so well and then Lewis said just that. Thanks for sharing!

I know I wasn't there but I wish you guys would have just said no problem we're out of here and went to Leesburg or Kissimmee. I've had to do that before when it gets too busy, not worth it and you're wasting your own time not getting in the quality practice you need and paid for;( At least you are still flying a lot which is good to see, hope to see a dual vlog with your wife flying soon!

Great Vid, shame about the amount of traffic but hey ho!
    Two Questions:
Where did you mount the camera in the end?
And On my flight sim the PA28 normally rockets up (i might not have enough weight), what type of climb rate do you get single pilot?
Enjoying the content, keep it up and loved the camera angle!!!
    Thanks,

I like the unedited, longer video, although I feel like POV is overrated. Maybe set up the other cameras too (face cam, wing cam, etc.) and edit the different positions together, but still keep the full length. Also, maybe next time orl is so busy, maybe go to apopka or somewhere else nearby that may be quieter?

    • @ZeroThreeDelta
      @ZeroThreeDelta  3 ปีที่แล้ว

I did setup the other cameras but I thought I’d give this format a shot. It’s not going to be ‘the new format’.
We were both pushed for time that day, otherwise we would have gone elsewhere. Next time, we’ll make sure it pans out a little better. Thanks for watching, though 😁
