I’m grateful for this teaching on the book of romans. However i have a question. If by faith in Jesus Christ, i uphold the law, does it mean that it doesnt matter what works i do, bad or good, as long as I’ve got faith in Jesus Christ?
Ephesians 2:10 states we are to do good works. Bad works could quite possibly cause us to be a stumbling block to someone else (Roman's 14:13). Matthew 5:14-16 states that doing good works is for the purpose of bringing glory to God, and James 1:22 tells us to be doers of the Word... nowhere in the Bible does it tell us to do bad works. Faith in Christ causes me to want to follow Christ well.... good works becomes a testimony of God's role in my life. While we will mess up and sin at times, that is when we can go to God for forgiveness.
