Your explain about LEDs tutoring is sooo good! Matters as facts that I'm deaf fpv pilot for 6 years and this is first time I seen this video and I understand everything what you was saying with subtitles turned on, oh man you said everything so clearly and it's super fun to do these RGB LEDs on Betaflight program!! 💚💜❤️🧡💛💙🤍 Love love love LEDs!!! Gotta loving them, whenever I crash and I do have my drone disarmed with full bright white LEDs, so I can find it easily on the ground or in the tree or anywhere that I couldn't find it with my naked eyes 👀 and LEDs REALLY are so HELPFUL for me as FPV pilot! And when I armed it, it will be full purple LEDs. When I go up and up and up in throttle, it will be on colourful LEDs!! Oh man this is freaking coolest tutorial I ever seen!! Thank you so much for this REALLY GREAT tutorial skills video about LEDs! Cuz I have tried to understand Joshua bardwell, he talk like so intelligence, and he always thinks he's smarter than everybody and called himself mr. Knows it all and I don't like that, he's brags about it all the time before. But as for you, man you are so laid back and so cool dude with really excellent explains about how LEDs works and how to use through Betaflight program!! Thank you buddy!! Happy flying bro! 🙌🏼👊🏼🤙🏼
Finally!!! The best explanation yet. I couldn't get my LEDs working for the life of me. I never set the aux channel in betaflight. Been beating my head against wall for months lol. Thanks man 👍👊
3:29 - "Its like a dentist, or a toll booth worker....."🤣 Well explained, especially the section about measuring the power draw on the LED's PS - HSV stands for hue, saturation, value 😉
Just wanted to drop a comment and say thank you for all your hard work and amazing videos, I still use your Crossfire wiring video to this day! Keep em coming Drainman
Very good explanation , I normally get lost. I've watched other videos and this is a perfect video for me, I now have a drone to play with so this is so great! 👍 👍 Thanks
Thank you, thank you, thank you for this video!!! It helped me soooooo much, and I am more than grateful to you for taking the time to share your amazing expertise! You are the man!
DrainMan, I can’t thank you enough for breaking it down to make even a dumbass like me understand LEDs a whole lot more, and how to use a multimeter to test the draw. I absolutely love that you explained how to make the LEDs work with the battery power, I’m still doing LOS with my new tiny whoop, so having an indication when my battery is at 3.2v.(figured how to make that work in BetaFlight) is priceless, no more over discharging my 1s batteries due to over flying. Thanks so much, I truly appreciate your help.🤟🏻
Love how deep you get into the electronics!! Would love a video showing and explaining all the components. (5VREG, DIODE, CHIPS) Awesome job man *subscribed!!
For any LEDs you can put on your setup, except for the exception of the race wire variety, you could put them on a Pit Switch. Pit pal. A VTX power switch on a switch.
Hello thanks for the nice video, I'm always worried to wire my leds to flight controller and smoke the fc , so as i c here i can provide 5 volt to leds through fc and no problem. Right?
Great video! Was hoping for setting up color change under the rotary dial. I have that working but I'm missing blue and green from the spectrum. Never mind, figured it out, got all colors now🤓
HSV is Hue, Suturation and Value. Hue is the color (red, green, blue...) the values go from 0-255 and go through the rainbow from red through the colors and back to red. Saturation is a measure of how strong that color is. Again the values go from 0-255. 0 being white and 255 being pure color. Value is how bright that color is. It would be like using a dimmer on the overall brightness of the LED. Values are 0-255, 0 being off and 255 being full power.
That's awesome. Very good explanation. But got a problem with whoop betafpv 75pro hdzero turn led on motors quit. Can send pics if need. Says mixer mode problem detected Needs 4 motor resources current configuration provides 0
can u use the same set of leds to do multiple functions, or can u only set them to just 1 time from the drop down Function option? im tryin to figure out if i can set the leds to when plugging in a battery to use the Larson scanner, basically disarm mode, then still when i take off use the mode and orientation tab to use east and west turning to use the same leds to turn like turn signals yellow when leaning in that direction and then use green to light up when going forward or throttling up and use red when laying off the throttle. i only have 8 leds
Excellent video 👍🏻👍🏻 however I’m new for leds don’t know much about voltage and I really would like to put lights on my drone I have a Rodeo 150 walkera how can I do this???
I need four of the strips to go tomy new speedybee f405 v3 as it has the 4 led strip connects on each corner of the fc ......Gosh I need some that can be programmed
Hahahaha I'm trying to get my son into the hobby. I gave him a quad, radio, and goggles. Now he wants LEDs on it. Red and Green for the Port and Starboard and a white one for the Bow light. Too funny. Where did you get the Stringed(connections on both ends) RGB LEDs? I see a lot of Racewire LEDs blowing up and even catching on fire.
How do you program them to change colors using the S1 or S2 knob on the X9D. I've seen it done in videos, and I'm about to build two of the tiny trainers with the tinys-leds tiny trainer led kits. I'd really like to know how to do this for all my qwads I plan on putting leds on anyways. Thanks for all the great help still loving how you keep shit so organized. But I wanted to learn how to use those knobs for leds for like 2 years now
That would be done as an Aux parameter. You need to have your X9D output that on an AUX channel for the flight controller. The flight controller will see it as AUX 4 or whatever you map it to on your transmitter.
I wish you would have done more on the racewire led. Is it any motor wire to any led pad? Also do you still have to click LEDs in betaflight? Help a brother out bro
so i took the led/buzzer that came wit my 1st quad the eachine wizzard x220s its an h 2 rows of 5 with a busser in the middle sorta looks like an H when i 1st was setting up the quad they came on all white and i was pretty stoked ...then i went into betaflight watch JBs tutorial and wanted to swtich it up and add some diff varitions ...so i removed what was there it was 1-9 on the bottom right corner two rows of 5 ......i deleted them because i was under the impression that i could reset them up quite easily but no now i cant understand why i cant even get 1 to show not any color not even whie..super bummer what could have i deleted to make it not work again? why isnt it goin on when i follow what ur doing in the video..nothing happens now? n i kno it works cuz before i deleted whatever was on there it was working
Your tutoring skills is first Class. You explain things short and to the point. And not to leave out - entertaining. Much appreciated.

Good job explaining leds. I love led racewire. 🤓
Thank u Drain man this was a great video.

Thanks DrainMan!!!
just happen to be putting on first set of led's on a new build , great vid
Thank you, thank you, thank you for this video!!!

Awesome explanation on LED and amp draw!
THANKS DRAINMAN, IT DEFINATELY HELP💯💯💯
Thank you man, you save me a lot of time and my day will be a litle better=))
Thank you very much.....for making me understand ...Liked &subscribed 👍
Brilliant video sir , your way of explain is excellent💯💯👍👍👍 . Love from Assam, India🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳

Hey thank you for all your videos they are a huge help. Can you do a video on the vtx tables in Betaflight Thanks in advance
Thank you

Sweet man, i need LED asap

Like a dentist or a tollbooth worker?! LMAO dude 😂😂😂😂😂 So good. Thanks for the LED lesson and the entertainment my dude!! ♥️♥️♥️

Hey, I am missing green and red. What was your fix?

DrainMan you freakin rock
Excellent video 👍🏻👍🏻 however I’m new for leds don’t know much about voltage and I really would like to put lights on my drone I have a Rodeo 150 walkera how can I do this???
At first you should buy a new drone! lol
I need four of the strips to go tomy new speedybee f405 v3 as it has the 4 led strip connects on each corner of the fc ......Gosh I need some that can be programmed
What a f*+*ing legend 👍👍👍 keep safe my mate 💪👌

Hey D Man tried this on my Sector 5v3 but no dice. I gotta set up in radio or designate one of my Aux channels? Thanks
How to attach led in pixhawk flight controller?

How did you enable dark mode on your betaflight? lol
I wish you would have done more on the racewire led.
Is it any motor wire to any led pad?
Also do you still have to click LEDs in betaflight?
Help a brother out bro
No. racewire leds don't have any interaction with your FC. They just work of the motor power current...
@@localhost-steve thanks buddy

Can we add some led count? Its only 32 but i got 40
Looks like you can run in parallel to get away with more. But your patterns will match your limit of 32.
@@DrainManFPV thanks
u're really funny
but why is it drainman?
I did all that and the still don't work
