I think you put the blame here: right on Jermaine Burton.... I can pay my rent and I am not a millionaire..... I have no sympathy, he needs to grow up and show maturity equal to his talent.... It is all on him, he owns it
It was out there that he was uncoachable, with the front office's record of drafting (short of falling into draft positions that almost guarantee success), I have zero confidence in them building a roster that will compete for SB's.
I like Yoshi. That stated, with the loss of Boyd via free agency the Bengals switched from a base three receiver offense to a base two receiver offense and this did not change as the season went. As a result, Boyd’s catches were caught by a combo of several including Yoshi, TE,s etc… Yoshi has a row but he’s going to be a rotational guy.
@@nightmarishhappenings yoshi is. It a good wr3 he was barely targeted because he can’t get open and his hands are spotty, lots of mishandled passes. He is better in the redzone for some odd reason but he’s a better wr4.
Normally Taylor only drafts high character guys, many who were captains on their team. This screams of desperation and a shortcut. They were looking to replace Tee next year and this was an epic disaster. He has completely shows ass and made Tobin and Taylor look like assholes. It’s a good thing because now they may realize how important Tee Higgins is to this organization. Get tee and Ja’maar signed. Allow Burton to come back and compete for a job next season. He shows up still pulling the same stuff you’ve got to get rid of him.
Yea, but I just heard some cash numbers that will be tied up between 4 players if T is resigned (in the neighborhood of 120 mil for Joe, Jamar, T, and Hendrixson), this front office/draft department/devolopment hasn't proven it can succeed by building through the draft, or if they even care.
They understandably felt they had to take a chance because you can't pay everyone. Successful team have numerous starters under rookie contracts. However, they didn't need to take the chance at WR. They didn't need a home run. They need a base hit. Burrow could do the rest. As far as the character guys go. I was thinking the same thing as you! Not sure what happened, but they have shy'd away from that the past few years. Carman was another risky low character guy coming in. The organization would rather take risks in the draft than pay for scouting and get the sure thing. Heck, even Tee Higgins was a risk. He fell in the draft due to his injury problems. Never a talent question.
@@KeithRyan-l4h I don’t want to hear about that. The eagles pays 3 o linemen top money, two wr’s, Saquan Barkley and Jalen hurts it can be done. Now what I won’t abide by is the fact they have such a small scouting team leaving the coaches to pick up a lot of that Responsibility. They need to revamp and expand that scouting staff, we cannot have misses on high picks like we have the last few years.
@joshmorgan838 The problem is Mike Brown only cares about making money. He doesn't care enough to win the Super Bowl, as long as they can make the playoffs every few years and keep fans interested.. It's been the same issue as far back as I can remember and not going to change until we can somehow run the Brown family out of town
Of course its Duke Sorry Ass, no gauging talent Tobin. This man has robbed this organization for years. His inability to gauge talent not just burton but look at our clubs pff talent numbers and he keeps his job. Amazing. Truly baffling
His act is not their fault. However, it’s their fault for drafting a known head case. His character was a huge red flag which reportedly dropped him off most teams draft boards.
Zac’s fault. Knew the kid would be a liability and still drafted him. Barely played Burton so we essentially wasted our pick. If you’re going to draft a project, see it through.
😂😂😂 you can't be serious, blaming a grown man for another grown man's MATURITY issues once he gets to the NFL !! GROW THE F UP BURTON , PERIOD !! How many players have had character concerns but figured it out ?? Burton needs to figure it out too 😂😂😂 Saying it's just a " wasted pick " is freaking ridiculous too , it use to be 3rd round picks took a couple years in the league before they started to break out not everyone rolls out of bed and are just Ja'marr Chase day 1 in the NFL !! He's got 3 more years just on his rookie deal slow down with the " wasted pick " bs 😂😂😂
He lacks guidance and clearly doesn't have a support system in place IMO he has issues that need to be addressed knowing what the Bengals knew before drafting him they should've had a support system n place for multiple reasons to teach his some things that needed to be taught as well as preparing him to contribute on the field Nick Saban even said it himself he's emotionally immature they still took a chance on him . Not to mention the guys being drafted aren't panning out it needs to start there how they evaluate talent and character these dudes or below average guys Tycen Anderson Battle CTB #32 Williams #15 Burton
Defintely can see that being their perspective. Sucks that that they don’t know what they have a QB. A Tyler Boyd / Mo Sanu type player in round three would be a 900+ yard receiver as a WR with burrow. Sure they’d have a lower ceiling. But they had a much higher floor and would be reliable
Mike Potts is to blame. He spoke to Nick Saban and ignored his warnings. Mike Potts has a terrible record as a scout and needs to be fired, immediately.
Teams pay allot of money to players. As a result, many teams have paid mentors that actually live with and guide young players with character issues in an attempt to turn their life around. It helps both the player and the team. I don’t believe the Bengals go to that level.
Brown family whiffs again at talent evaluation. Think of who they let go and the dumpster fire of a defense. Burton should have been figured out before the Draft. Cut losses now and cut the punk.
WHOS TO BLAME??? Who gives a ****, they told us he was a risk when we drafted him that's why we got him in the 3rd! Don't stop giving up on troubled kids!!!!

I think he got evicted for the $10k in damages he caused to the apartment
He has a gambling problem! Until he gets that under control he won't be productive. Yoshi is a good WR3 do we really need Burton?

I was an absolute moron/dumb ass at his age too but this kid needs a mentor.
How is it ZT or Duke's fault that a grown man can't pay his rent?
The question is pretty simply stated.
His act is not their fault. However, it’s their fault for drafting a known head case. His character was a huge red flag which reportedly dropped him off most teams draft boards.
Bro clearly doesn’t remember how poorly Marvin handled Pac-Man and burffict
Mike Brown the redeemer limited what Marvin could do. Marvin was on record as not wanting Henry back but the owner wanted him anyway.
Tobin and Taylor both need to go. Joe needs inside guards and defensive nose tackles.
They choose this in the 3rd. Thats culture.
And the worst part is who we passed on to take him!?! 🤦♂️
Zac’s fault. Knew the kid would be a liability and still drafted him. Barely played Burton so we essentially wasted our pick. If you’re going to draft a project, see it through.

Kinda forgot about Chris Henry, very sad story
You can't help people who don't want to help themselves.
the only thing i am concerned with is if we can trade him and a pick for sauce
Haha that would be nice. Problem with Sauce is, the Bengals can't pay him. They need talent thats under low contracts for 3-4 years sooooo badly!
Mixon was a problem at times. They worked with him. Give Burton 1 more year.
@@matthewharmon7956 Mixon was never a problem.
The Steelers have the same issues and eventually the Steelers got rid of them and the bengals had a coach to deal with them before Zack Taylor

You are making my argument. You can’t keep Tee . They have no money so they take risk

Did you really just say Marvin had Burfict straightened out on the field?
Maybe burfict had orders for payback
Compare Joe Mixon's overall year to Chase Brown.... dollar for dollar Brown is clear cut winner
Teams pay allot of money to players. As a result, many teams have paid mentors that actually live with and guide young players with character issues in an attempt to turn their life around. It helps both the player and the team. I don’t believe the Bengals go to that level.
There are plenty of NFL Teams that would have Drafted Him
Again another example of how bad the Bungals can’t draft. All that had to do is pick up the phone and call me lol

Either grow up or get released
