I'm totally gonna make this. It's too tempting. Not sure if I'll turn it into an animal tho, I just want a onesie that's actually tall enough!! Being 6'2" is difficult
+Nic S I just made my own for the same reasons. I just couldn't justify buying a $40-50 item and have the arms and legs too short. It turned out well and I made one for my guy too. Ended up wearing them in our holiday photo.
6'2???? Omg me being 5'1 I'll probably reach your waist or sth😹😹
+Yumiii xx lol same I'm like five feet tall 😂
Ppl who are your height only come up to about my waist, maybe a bit higher
Haha same!! And omg we're the same height!
Cute! I made a Totoro inspired kigurumi earlier this year. So comfy and fun to wear :)
Gurl im not even gonna lie. I do not even no how to put the thread in the needle. I am not intrested in sewing at all but ur vids make want to try it so bad and its so fascinating how you make very expensive onesies at home.
+lindanasri Awww thank you haha. And... I show how to thread a needle in The Style Pile episode 1 if you are interested at all.... ;)
+Annika Victoria yes of course i will watch it, thank u so much for replying, love this series by the way☺❤
@@dramastorm8893 i am 9 years old but i can sew dresses for my whole family
French subtitles now available! :)
+Annika Victoria can you make one of those hoodies with thumb holes in the sleeve? maybe an animal themed one?
Yeah French ! Thanks !
hey can u plz make the jacket that the girl from paramore in the music video "still into you" that would be SOOOO COOL
I really really really really really really really really want to make a Totoro onsie!!! but I don't know if I ever will😅
I can relate cause I also live in Aus
This girl should meetup with threadbanger
yes !
annika vs pin
yess
yess
Two big talents😏😍
I loved the final result! Just to let you know, instead of using a straight stitch for the eyes and nose and going back and forth, you can use the applique technique which is used on store-bought onesies by using a zig zag stitch and reducing the "height" of the stitch (and adjusting the width if necessary). This gives a bolder result and usually takes less time. However, I would recommend using some interfacing on the other side to make sure the applique doesn't ruin the fabric. :)
+Ha Young K awesome suggestion. Thank you! :) I hope other people see this and read it!
+Annika Victoria I'm glad I mentioned it :)
+Annika Victoria could you do something doll sized my little sis loves it when I make stuff for her dolls
I have watched a majority of your sewing videos and, being a newbie to sewing, your tutorials are AMAZING and super easy to follow. I also follow you on Instagram and Snapchat because I am a HUGE fan!! I think your videos are incredible and you are such an inspiration to me. I am almost 30 and just got my very first sewing machine as a gift from my fiancee so, your videos are a great resource. I also wanted to commend you on your braveness and strength. Living with a chronic illness is scary. But, it should not define who you are as a person. And, you are still continuing to make videos and put content out there for US in the process of dealing with that! You are an amazing person and I just wanted to sincerely thank you for all that you're doing. You may not think you can impact someone else's life just by making crafting DIY tutorials, but trust me, you definitely are. Please continue to make these awesome videos as long as you are able to. Ill be looking for some things to send as a Make/Thrift/Buy here in the near future. Stay amazingly sweet and kind. :)
💖💖💖💖💖 (saving this comment forever because it was so kind, thank you!!)
OMG how awesome! Thank you so much :)
She is so talented!
cool
worst thing you could do is sew the tail on the front by accident haha
that'd be hilarious.... :D
sexuel tension😂😂😂
I actualy did that
Sean rippers are our friends *^*
+Macy Leigh poor Sean...JK seam
OMG I'm gonna make this ethically/ recycled. That's my challenge. I'm thinking about old dressing gowns and blankets
+Ruth Slonimsky you are awesome :)
I love watching thrifty or craft videos. I take part of this hobby myself, so I particularly enjoy when someone who can clearly give directions/commentary. and when I say enjoy, I mean I ENJOY and you are perfect!
OMG I JUST REALIZED.
Anyone else think Annika really closely resembles Harper from the old Disney show Wizards of Waverly Place?
Thank you for pointing that out! I've been trying to figure out where I'd seen her before since I started watching her channel
+Kim Nguyen AND SHE MAKES HER OWN OUTFITS!!
i love it when people say this :') (goals)
Annika Victoria you replied to me ah :"D (goals)
Am I the only one that just watches the videos and doesn't try it ?
It's probably like 85% of her viewers that don't actually try it 😂 but that's ok because it's very entertaining and informational for those who are learning how to sew
+misscutie22 Almost 99.999% of people do not do this and just look at it for fun... I am part of that 99.999%
+Breanna Solomon I think that every one does it at one point 😂
Unicorn Rose hehehehe ;^)
Me
You put so much effort into your videos! They're all so impressive! I love sewing, but I'm a boy in highschool so I get made fun of all the time. Nevertheless, I'm taking textiles (sewing classes) for my electives next year and I'm super pumped! Also, where in Australia are you from? I'm from Melbourne!
+ughzachary x good on you! You be you - I got bullied in highschool a lot too, because what I was interested in was also different from most people! But the people who do what they want regardless of what other people think and are passionate about it make mucccch more interesting adults ;)
I'm from Sydney! :)
update: (i meant to say next semester instead of next year in my first comment whoops) guess who used this tutorial for their first textiles project and got A+ 🙋🙋🙋
thanks annika!!!
ughzachary x dude your awesome, I'd be friends with you
Still sewing?
evelyn Woah, I just stumbled across this. Yep! 3 years later and I’m still sewing! I’m now in University and I helped make the bridesmaids gowns for my cousins wedding! I’m so glad I never stopped. :)
This video inspired me to make my own and I'm actually wearing it right now!! It's so comfortable!! Although, I'm currently thanking God that it's spring break because it took me 22 and a half hours to make and I would NOT have had the time to make it if I had school! Even though I couldn't skimp out on time, I sure did on expenses! I got the blankets I used at a thrift store and only had to buy embroidery thread, hoops and buttons aside from that so I only spent $6 on it overall! I think the only thing that sucked about this project was the fact that I don't have a sewing machine so I had to hand sew everything
Wow. I am amazed at how you do this. This is so cool, I wish I could do this. Nice job Annika!
I learned to sew 8 years ago and always come to you for sewing since I started again (after an 8 year break) this year.
I literally screamed when I saw this in my subscription box YESSSS!!!!!
+Wendy Pchuk :D
Hands down one of the most creative youtubers!
i love that you made this vid. i always wondered how easy/difficult it would be if i could make my own kigu and you've inspired me even more to give it a go c:
YES!!! My absolute FAVORITE series on youtube EVER!!
I made an elephant-onesie a little while ago for a project at my university. Really cheap since I used some fleece blankets from ikea :) Want to make an other one though after seeing your video!
+Maria Oseberg Hansen oh that's a really cool idea!!
I have recently made a skirt using your circle skirt tutorial, and I absolutely love it. It was my first major sewing project, and I got a lot of compliments at school. Thanks so much for inspiring me!
You are so welcome :)
I just found out you are a science student! I don't know why I'm always happy to know other female science students, it makes me feel like I'm not alone. I'm studying computer science in buenos aires and my career has only a 16% of women! So sad.
Maybe just a lot of women aren't interested in computer science...?
I made one of these before, it was my first real sewing project and came out AMAZINGLY. I'm still so proud of it. I also just joined the Facebook MTB group and I seriously can't wait to start making stuff 😄
+Samicles 309 hooray! :D
I have made three Kigurumis. I made me a charmander one and my boyfriend a snorlax one. I also made him one of Kumagai from Good Luck Girl to go with my most recent cosplay of the poverty god from the same anime.
My charmander one took me the longest because I didn't really know what I was doing. I made the pattern from a pair of sweats and a hoodie and winged it from there. It ended up being a little tighter than kigurumis should be and a little shorter than I wanted it to be. After adding the tail and the tummy it ended up being a pretty good first attempt. :D
Omg, they sound so awesome though!! I want a snorlax onesie :O
My first sewing project was a onesie for a cosplay that I made. I had never been so proud of anything I had done in my entire life, and I still love it!
I HAVE WATCHED ALL OF YOUR VIDEOS AND SOMEHOW I MISSED THIS ONE I AM SO OFFENDED AT MY OLD SELF FOR NOT SEEING THIS
SAME I WAS LIKE WHAT THE HECK HOWD I MISS THIS
:)
same here
You've got such an original mind. The way you make that pattern is absolutely brilliant and your onesie turned out beautifully. I'm definitely going to make one. Thanks for the great video.
Oh, thank you :) it's more coz I have a lazy mind and wanna find the easiest possible ways to do everything hahaha.
reminds me of block b's dance practice for "her"
OMG SHUHAUHSUHSHSAHSAU
OMG yessssssssssssssssss💯💯💯😍😂
This was my first big sewing project and I love the result(wearing it now)! Being a bigger size with large bust and rump with thick hips and thighs, it's hard finding a cute, warm, onsie that would fit me that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I plan on using your method for a plethora of onsies for myself and my son! They are so much fun to make!
WHY ARE U SO TALENTED
The effort you put into making these videos really shows!! The instructions are always super clear! And your voice is so soothing. This turned out so cute please dont stop making these!!! :)
The beginning shirt was amazing!! I love bananas :3 .... anyways great video!!
+THR33 TIMES (TheFluffyKitty11) hehehe thank you! It's my own design that you can get at my store ;)
Annika Victoria cool :D thanks
I've searched high and low for plus size onesies like these and after this I really think I'd love to make one myself! Thank you so much for posting this!
The eyes seemed a little high up but I loved this. (I'm not trying to bash anything you do)
ALL HAIL ANNIKA!!!!
This is the easiest kigurumi tutorial I've ever seen! Thanks so much for your amazing dedication and effort :D
Can you make a Dango!?! Most of them are pricey and hard to find!
Also there form Clannad (A Anime)
+Aya Hatsune dango family rip rip😥
yes please do this!!!
Yes please!
An ACTUAL dango or a plushie? lol
I love this video! I’m actually going to make a onesie for me and my friend. It seemed complicated but then after I watched it, it didn’t seem that hard. But, when she said she’ll make a onesie even though it’s summer, I live in the U.S. and when she posted this video, it was near Christmas! She also says “pattern” weird. Idk if it’s from her accent or if she has a speech impediment, but I love it!
can you make this a series? like onezies!¡ that would be awesome!
Thought I'd share I used this video as a guide for a kigurumi of Sniff from Moomin, for my brother. But don't tell him, it's a surprise for his birthday! It's turning out great so far! This is a really great guide, thanks for sharing!
I SWORE I WOULD NEVER GET FACEBOOK
BUT NOW
WHAT AM I SUPPOSED TO DO NOW
Honestly, I'm thinking of moving it from facebook to a different forum/app because I hate facebook also haha. So it might be moved off facebook soon anyway!
+Annika Victoria why
+Annika Victoria awesome!!
+Witness the Litness YE S.
Twinkie Chan bag in the background!! 💕 Loved this onesie. It looks so cuddly x
This is a little bit of an oddball project, but could you make a binder for those transgender individuals? It's a bit of a challenge and requires a lot of research, but I'd love to see yours! Cheers!
I'm trans and this would be amazing
I feel like this wouldn't be an appropriate thing for me to make, because I am not transgender myself. I'm sorry! I wish I could help, but it would feel really inappropriate for me to make a video on this! 💖
Brooke Devoy you can make one by taking a swimming suit (without cups) and see a panel of non stretching fabric JUST in the front. I makes one similar to a gc2b
I absolutely love all of your different pins! they are so CUTE!
EXPECTO PATRONUM!
😂😂 Lol I love your user name and pic!
I love you so much more
Annika, I love your videos. I don't sew, but I just love watching you and the clothes you make. It's just incredible!! :D
I'm making a Jeff the Killer Onesie based off of this, thank you for the guide!
That's the best idea oml
how would u do that
+• Pastel • It's basically like a panda onsie
thats so cool
@@DOAMIAAFK cool!!
Really love the new show where you take things from your unfinished box and finish them :)
I would prefer one off amazon, but this is so smart :O you did really good. (And the reason i wouldnt make it is cause i dont sew XD)
Same. I'm always like, "IM GONNA MAKE THIS CLOTHING ITEM!" but then I remember I can't sew for shit.
Zak Sweets Omg yes XD
+Zak Sweets sameeee
Just a couple of things. 1. I just stumbled across your channel this evening and immediately subscribed. 2. You're completely amazing! and 3. I love, love, love your top!
IT'S TIME TO BECOME A UNICORN

+Aailyah Douglass yay! :D
I literally use all ur tutorials to help me with my costumes I make seriously you've helped so much and you explain everything to nicely and easy to understand! seriously I adore your videos
this is so cute I wanna make a cat one but I don't have those skills
super adorable and very creative and I like that U actually made it bc it's ur own and U could make any kind of design U want or do ur own special design like maybe use transfer paper and get material and put ur favorite pics of and/or family and friends and it's ur one of a kind onesie!!!!super cute like this is GOALSSS!!!!!!!😍😍😍
I would have thought 86 degrees Fahrenheit wouldn't be that hot, especially in Australia...
I'm used to 100 degrees Fahrenheit, so I'm kinda confused too. but I guess 86 s still kinda too hot for fabric like that
Journey STAR yeah...
Alexandra Marie I really don't thinks so because It's never 86 degrees Celsius on planet earth's general atmosphere. (That would be about 187 degrees Fahrenheit.)
Alexandra Marie Huh?
***** Yeah but like that's not very hot?
Ahh the community is such a cool idea! I'm definitely going to try to participate after finals and college apps!
The word button sounds funny now.
+01RosiePie hahaha try editing it ;) Button did not make sense as a word for many hours after working on that part of the video haha
this is just so creative! I'm never upset with your videos
I'm wearing my dinosaur onesie (DAN!) rn.
THE PHANDOM IS EVERYWERE!!!!
+Millie Tolliday *where
I'm wearing a lion one (PHIL)
I'm wearing my pink zebra onesie... Yup... (PHAN is still life)
+John Yabut ayeyeyyeyeyyeyey
That moment when you don't have a sewing machine '-'
You could always hand stitch it, it might take a while though
Just go to a tailor and then show them this video. 😂😂😂
+Mo Mia You can use hot glue or a very very strong glue ;)
Fabric glue
you can buy a cheap second hand one :)
It sounds like your saying butt holes😂😂😂🕳🕳(button holes)
I was just about to say that lmaoooo I swear I tried to be mature but I'm snorting and snickering all over the place
omg!! I have that sewing machine! but I never knew how to work that button foot... thanks for showing it!
I started to make texting on this video in Norwegian, but you talk so mutch Annika, it takes forever, lol
+Marie Prestegård hahahaha I'm sorry!! thank you for trying though! :) If you want to stop, somebody else might finish the translations, because it's a community-based thing.
Annika Victoria You realy didn't need to say sorry, it was a joke (not the part of me starting to translate the video, but the talking to mutch part). You are awsome just the way you are and I love your totorials. I will continue to work on the translation sometime, I just have to finish some other stuff first, I hope you understand that. And I realy like the new profile picture you have btw
+Marie Prestegård oh no - I was saying sorry in a joking way too!! XD sometimes it's difficult to get tone across in TH-cam comments haha. Don't worry, I didn't really think that you were having a go at me for talking a lot (I have to talk a lot to explain what's going on, so I knew it was a joke) :) it's all good!! ☺️☺️💕
+Annika Victoria y r u using inches if you are aussie?
That video was awesome! Keep going Annika
Wow you're so talented. If I tried to make any of the things you make I'd have a panic attack! You're awesome
Something about it is sort of.. Awkward.
How?😂
I think it's the arms
I agree. I think it's because the eyes are way too thin and you can barely see them. The sleeves are also a bit short and I think the overall onesie was way too....big, in a way? The crotch part of it is a way too low. Anyways, it just looks awkward to me.
+saloosh777 +saloosh777 A kigurumi onesie is supposed to be really baggy though. The one she made doesn't have a crotch that's really low imo considering the crotch on a lot of them is a few inches from the ankles lol
For me it's the hood, the neck line, the sleeves, the legs, and the overall shape.. It's just not accurate and looks very off.
I've been looking for a onesie tutorial that was descriptive and I couldn't find a good one and then I watched yours and you made it easy to understand
why are you so cute?
I love how you're so dedicated, I know its summer in Australia right now but in the UK its freezing, I'm running out of pyjamas so are currently sleeping in shorts, so I will be making a onesie
okay I'm just saying that a onesie is about 20-30 dollars and you order/buy it then it's done. Why go through all this effort lol
+Oli Lee because my channel wouldn't be very fun if I just sat on my computer, bought things and then said "here it is, look at my internet purchasing skills".... haha.
+Oli Lee Plus $20-30 in my opinion is way too expensive for something like this. I would think that saving a bit of mone and having fun making it would be worth it.
+Oli Lee One word: customization
+Oli Lee Lazy much >_>
+Oli Lee a kigurumi onesie cost about 70 to 80 dollars
Once I get better at sewing and using the singer machine table, I am totally making my own crocodile onesie with this video as inspiration!
I love your projects. A method my manager taught me is to sew on one side of the cuff, the inside, then fold it over (and hem it) and sort of top stitch or "stitch is the ditch" it down. It makes it really tidy :)
Oh awesome! Thank you so much for the tip:)
you make everything so easily understandable. which is great, thank you for putting so much effort in for your videos!!!!
do a lookbook completely composed of your mtb episodes! (not sure what you would do with this, but you're creative enough to make it look good with anything 😂)
I never do the diy's but I just ❤ watching her do them
haha i love your series! it's so inspiring and helpful!
it also reminds me of threadbanger's man vs pin projects in a way- without the blood.
love it!
i dont even want to make half of this stuff but like, ur such a cool bean and i love just listening to you because you're very funny and your humor doesn't require you to be gross or rude and you're good at what you do, and it's something u seem to genuinely enjoy! I'm 14 so i can't donate to ur patreon, (i don't skip ads before your videos, tho!) but i wanted to let u know that ur videos are super helpful and ur really fantastic!
I am in love with your diy videos they are really cool and helpful
ive tried the teddy bear and the diy lightup shoes this is next :D i was so happy with the results thank you keep up the good work
Amazing! I love this series, your instructions are always super clear and it is fun to watch and recreate. Thank you so much for making these videos, keep doing it! Xx greetings from Holland :3
So cute! Considering to make this for Halloween next year
I made a dinosaur one of these earlier in the year and they are so satisfying to wear once finished!
I can't wait to actually wear mine when it's not so hot hahaha
Very cool! My sister has been wanting a onesie and this gives me an excellent idea for a Christmas gift! :)
THANK YOU!!! I was just about to make one for a cosplay, but I couldn't find a good tutorial!!!! Yay!!!!
your so talented and I'm so amazed by how much time and effort you put into your videos!Im from Tassie!
I made one of these for my bunny Halloween costume this year! My first attempt was made of pink sweatshirt fleece from Joann Fabrics which cost me around $30. For my second attempt I used a fluffy king size blanket that cost me 2$ at the thrift store, super awesome score! Thanks for the upload!
That is awesome! I'm always looking out for fluffy blankets and polar fleece at the thrift shop now as well, because I want to make more of these! :D
I love how you have Adventure Time stuff on your shelves :3
I love this channel! It is like Threadbanger, but with less swearing
I love your videos! They're so easy to follow and you always make cool stuff :)
With the tail you can actually sew a straight rectangle an take some pillow stuffing and a binder clip and make it straight/ open it an take it in the tail so that you can make it in different shapes, I did this to mine one piece and am so proud of it!
i have a craft crush on you!! You are so talented 😍❤
+Awkward Amgerd :3
I loved this! It looked SO GOOD! Well done!
I actually have the pig onsie that you showed at the beginning and I much prefer your version because it looks hella more comfortable!
You are a genuis at making garments. I don't think I can do this but I love your piggy onesie. thumbs up
Loving the expecto patronum sign
I love watching your videos even though I know that I will never have the energy and patience to do these DIYs ^^
I just started following your channel this week and you make all this seem totally doable and really accessible for beginners even, which I think is really fab! (You also are very cute and super nice!!)
So in short: Go you!! I hope you are having a nice day
You are so talented and creative I love your work this is one of my favorite your awesome!!!😭❤️❤️😻😻😻😁😁
Following this for my next project. Thanks a ton!
Omg! The onesie u made is so amazing! U are talented.
