Love these. Absolutely love. xB please let teammates play items on each other’s hermits! Mono decks are really strong (at least online) in 1v1 but the hermits with blanks in the items have much more flexibility in the 2v2 if either player play on their teammates hermits. Allows for wider variety.
@@allenbuddy3101 Don’t get me wrong, I thought of that. But there are good cards that are just outclassed in 1v1. 2v2 gives them more utility. Rare Impulse is probably the best example since the other player can get those better Bdubs and Tango cards. Good 1v1 cards will always be good to double up on, even if you can’t help each other out.
I think they do allow to play items or effects on each others hermit to power up or protect them It's just they can not use each others deck to play.....
I disagree on the clock rule. Your Hermit actually gets 3 attacks before the player can retaliate or heal their player, or go AFK. Beef attacked Wels. XB skipped. Cub attacked Wels. Cleo attacked. Beef attacked Wels. Then Xb can go. Too OP. It worked out here but it won’t always.
I think that clock might be a little overpowered. 1 play of clock practically guaranteed that Wels would go down from nearly full hp before you got a turn. Only reason it isnt completely guaranteed is because Beef wasnt getting items for his hermit
It IS an ultra rare card, so it's severely limited in Tournament Rules. Furthermore, you can't stack Clocks one after the other anymore (at least, I'm pretty sure you can't).
This ran much more smoothly as expected! I really enjoy these 2v2 matches because it’s twice the hermits and twice the decks which means it’s unlikely for either team to steamroll the other. Very enjoyable!
Clock and time skip Joe seem pretty game breaking in 2v2. The opposing team gets three completely uncontested shots at one player's hermits. Unless the partner of the players getting skipped provides assistance.
I could suggest a few things: -Cards that get leaded from teammate's hermit to your hermit shall be flipped (preferably upside down) to clarify it is not your card) -Effect cards if could be played on your teammate's hermit, maybe it shall be flipped too, indicating it's not teammate's card when retrieving
with live stream + 5 hermits, I would expect someone to notice that joe took 260 health from gem with cleo's bow and put 260 back on again. Not that it mattered in the whole run, but why are they always in a such a hurry. @ 29:01
You shouldn't be able to use single-use damage cards if you don't have an active hermit. Just the same as the rule and regular TCG is that you can't use a damaged card unless you're attacking. Also beef might consider making the deck limitations that he imposed for the tournament just standard rule, so that it's impossible to Simply buy victories
I think so too about the single use cards, if we think about how beef explains the attack, effect cards are actions that the hermit does when attacking. So no hermit no attack.
Joe incorrectly changing Gem's health at 29:06 cost you an entire turn and your Cleo's death in the long run. A bit painful as a viewer, but hey, accidents happen. Fun match!
This match kinda makes me wonder if there should be a rule against attacking the same hermit more than twice in a row or something. I feel like the strat of focus firing one person down is going to be the most ideal, but it's going to result in situations like this... which I can't imagine feels too good.
1. Make some rule that you cannot attack same player more than 3 times consecutively, i mean cleo just sat... 2. Clock needs some balancing.. 3. Maybe a rule that if a player has all 3 of his/her places filled with hermit and all charged up to full, they can play their extra hermit on teammate's side, if he/she wishes.. like a pawn turns to queen move in chess.. otherwise the game becomes targetted.. works with 1
yea I noticed that too, as Cleo bowed gem twice, but Gem was at 260 when going active (cant recall if it gave gem an extra turn though). No matter as they all seemed to miss that.
If the rule is not there already, you need to set a minimum of hermits in teams as I could see a team build with no hermits or resources and all damage and remove items.
I think you should be able to play an item on your teammates hermit, but all discard should go to the discard of the person who played the card not the person who’s hermit the card is attached to.
A little bit of a misplay there, xB. Let's hope things go better at the championship finals. Good luck by the way. May the heart of the cards be with you and I hope you get some nice pulls.
Is there anything preventing someone from playing a deck that only has effect cards, and relying on their teammate to have Hermits? I can see a pair teaming up, one who only has Hermits & items while the other only has effects
wait, the rule is you always have to play a hermit when you have one, but could you then just not put any hermits in your deck and just play a purely support deck for your teammate? Lots of TNT, curse of vanishing, emeralds, milk & water buckets, armor, healing, etc. Though that does mean your team overall does less damage, so that's a trade-off
I think thats a great strat, but the problem is when you have both players going after one person like it happened to xB this time. If the cards are maxed out which usually only takes two item cards, all hermits will be knocked out in two rounds. With the limit of 3 of the same card in a deck, even if you had every health card in the game in both decks i dont think you can handle only having one person have hermits.
All players must have a valid deck. Which includes Hermits. Difference here is: 1 player on a team can have a valid starting hand, while the other can have no hermit in their starting hand. But, once the player that didnt draw a Hermit at the start gets a Hermit, they must place it once it is their turn. Players cannot go an entire game without placing a Hermit.
Well, you can’t guarantee that. A team could get wiped early so one player doesn’t get to play a hermit at all. The idea of one player holding down the fort waiting for his/her teammate to draw another hermit is great. Starting without a hermit seems… brutal. UNLESS!!! You can play item cards on teammates hermits ramping them up quicker.
I think damage cards shouldn't be played if you don't have an active hermit. Gapples, curse of vanishing, etc., as already stated in the rules, should be the only effect cards allowed. The way they ganged up on you wasn't against the rules but did make me feel bad for you. @xBCrafted
Cleo lost you the game. Her TGC could of been using the 90 att that entire time, but she kept using the weeker + att instead even though she had the items to use the better att.
Add rule: opposing team must remain silent during opposing team's turn. This would greatly improve the listening experience, plus it's just good manners.
I've held back saying it as long as I can. TCGs are only mildly entertaining in real life. So far I've just been skipping any decked out HCraft vids, but that really doesnt leave much..... You do you, I'm sure there's an audience for it, its just not me.
As with any video anyone ever makes.. There is an audience that enjoys building. There is an audience that enjoys just derping around. There is an audience that loves adventuring (end raiding and what not) I try to do all of these things. This is why i decided to have the vast majority of TCG matches as their own standalone video. :)
@BOBimus Rex Agreed. TCGs are not for everyone. Imho TCGs are for people who love to strategize, play a game with friends and socialize/interact with one another in a casual yet competitive manner. I do hope you enjoy whatever it is you love to do BOB. Have a good one.
Cleo: “I’m going to branch mine gem with tnt”
Outside of Minecraft this actually sounds like a normal sentence lol
in Minecraft it sounds like netherite mining
Loving the 2V2 just as much as the 1V1. In fact dare I say more Hermits = more enjoyable video consumption
The "OH, son of a" at 27:13, when xB draws the same card that he discarded, killed me XD
I think there's incentives to allowing people to use items on teammates hermits. Encourage people to build a deck together as a team with this in mind
it always amuses me seeing every hermit place the cards manually while xB drops all the cards by hovering lmao
This is the way
some people too lazy to install MouseTweaks
Love these. Absolutely love.

But this also encourages hermit pairs to build both their decks with the same typing which ends up discouraging variety unfortunately

i had no idea what was going on at any given moment, but it looks like you guys had fun and i definitely enjoyed watching it!
Shout out to Joe for doing preemptive math.
I think at 23:03 it is hilarious how he gets himself and his teammate lol
I could suggest a few things:
-Cards that get leaded from teammate's hermit to your hermit shall be flipped (preferably upside down) to clarify it is not your card)
-Effect cards if could be played on your teammate's hermit, maybe it shall be flipped too, indicating it's not teammate's card when retrieving
I personally think allowing to use your item card on your partner's hermit would make it so interesting

It mattered, hem would have been dead in 1 round early, so cleo could do the damage to ren ..
Love the wholesome chat between joe and tango

I think a bow damage was missed on Gem and that gave her an extra turn of damage on XB

Base TCG rules require Hermits in a deck.
More Hermits = more smiles
I think you should be able to play an item on your teammates hermit, but all discard should go to the discard of the person who played the card not the person who’s hermit the card is attached to.
Test a game where you are allowed to place Item cards on teammate's hermits
The bow should be "any hermit except the one you're attacking"
If Beef played TNT without a hermit, Cub's hermit should take the 20hp damage.
Absolutely
can't wait for the 4 way battle royale mode
Love the chimes!
they really focused attacks on xb's side =-=, i guess that's also a strat just clean one player so less attacks wud come back.
anyone else started cheering outload then quickly realizing .... wait a min.. this is a video
Can the chest card take the same chest out of the discard pile? If no can it take out a different chest to make a cycle ?
I think you could pull another chest out, but there wouldn’t be a net gain so there’s no point. All it would do is use up your item use that turn
A little bit of a misplay there, xB. Let's hope things go better at the championship finals. Good luck by the way. May the heart of the cards be with you and I hope you get some nice pulls.
