Nice video, just wanted to say. I’ve been scrapping for a good 3-4 years now, you’re videos literally helped me when I first started scraping for the first time, at one point I was so fed up with a vacuum motor because I couldn’t open it because I didn’t know they are reverse thread at the time I was ready to give up scrapping then and there. Due to my current circumstances I have to unfortunately give up scrapping for a good couple of years, the point is I just wanna say thank you for your videos and always being there for me during the tough times of scrapping, thank you thub, I am so glad a got to be a panda! 🐼 ❤
Lots of dedication, determination and tenacity. Also, thanks for preserving natures resources from all of the recycling that you do. Thanks for posting your videos.
Thub, your will and determination is incredible. I enjoy your videos immensely. Let your roommate know the dresser turned out phenomenal. I hope you take us all along for this week's scrap adventure that you have scheduled. ❤
Absolutely love your channel. still catching up on older episodes... Been scraping for a long time now maybe 25+ yrs and was still able to learn some things from you.... thank you and keep up the hard work
I really really felt the pain. I have been in that predicament many times when the scrap you want is not playing ball. But when you actually achieve the goal, feel very rewarding.
That was smart of you to take out the electrical components, I believe all of them together should sell for at least 250-300$, someone will risk in buying them and testing them out, because for someone with the right skills it will make some profit or make a cheap repair option.
I used to process circuit breaker switches for copper and silver.. I have a bunch of the silver contacts.. I still have a pile of breakers that I tell myself I’ll process whenever I have really cold weather.. to be honest I just hate breaking them down and I probably won’t touch them again.
@thubprint life's hard brother my 14 year old boy fell to his death playing 3 years ago. I will never be right but things got easier. It was good people like yourself who stirred me through some dark times with that brother stay safe and I will see you in the next episode
@ that’s.. really hard to hear, I’m sorry. I’m glad you’re finding some way to live with it, I’d hope nobody ever had to experience that and yet here we are. Just making the most of the day in front I suppose? I’m glad you’re here 💚
I am not a scrapper however, I do keep non ferrous metals. I have sold on eBay and Amazon for years. This economy since I don’t make too much doing it I simply source free items. I sell all kinds of things and you’ll be surprised what people do buy, but I also do have a lot of shit laying around. The easiest free item that always sells sooner or later. Vacuum parts.
I hate it when I'm in a dumpster and the over head door wherever I'm at starts to open. You never know what's gonna happen LO.L I've had superintendents be super cool and i've had one or two completely freak out on me, it's kind of a rare thing tho, thank god.
It’s sketchy one of the hazards of our advocation unfortunately. I try to go on Sunday morning if possible when I hope to encounter the least possible number of humans.
What day is scrap day for you ? , I would likely have given up on the BIG DUST COVERED THING . but with my OCD . ??? I also would have kept the switches ,( I have 2 buckets full myself ) . The guys who ?'d you seemed nice , ( I always get the " Can I help you ? " & I say "If you want " but they either don't laugh or run me off complaining about liability . Scrapping can be fun but also a pain but it depends on you attitude . so it is what it is . Thx for the video . Happy New Year .
@@paulblankenship7865 Yea I really love to use that one while 'Metal Detecting " I say "You can dig my Coins if you want but please don't hit them with the shovel " . It usually makes things worse tho . But I quit caring at age 45 . Good Day
Well maybe someone is testing your integrity, Thubby. In their faces to the one who put that small pile! Nice first segment on that aluminum panel, now get the SIVER, if no one buys them. Silver will go up in value!!!!!
If you had a grown son you could make a Canadian version of Sanford an Son. I'm sorey that I don't watch every episode but I wonder if you ever tried the log splitter idea I threw at you a couple times in comments? I just figured maybe if they can cut tires they might split coils.
Is THUB an acronym? If so, what does it stand for? What is Thubprint? I love your channel by the way. I could watch at least three of your videos a week if you could post that many. Just sayin!!
🤣 you know it! I used to have a whole ending sequence, I’m sure you remember back in those days. I’ve started to think nobody really wants to watch a bunch of ending bits and pieces tho, so I don’t stress over it anymore
19:00 Something I noticed at this point in the video that you did but doesn't make any sense from a efficiency standpoint....You hop in a dumpster full of scrap that tossed metal out of....hop out of the dumpster and pick up all the metal and than you tossed it into your truck. Why not just back up or pull along side of the dumpster your going to dive and toss the metal directly into your truck box?
35 bucks for the cabinet.. if it was complete, thats worth a couple grand. Clean aluminium would have been what, double that or more? Not familiar with aluminium, i only do copper as i don't have room
It would have been a less than double, so I’d probably make $10-20 more for taking the hour to clean it up. Good chance it would have been worth it, but I have the video to think about and I did make more spending the time going back out for more
My ankles are screaming every time I see you jump out of dumpsters and your truck onto the ground like that. Take the extra 2 seconds to dismount carefully. Be kinder to your body, it will last longer!

That dresser turned out really nice glad you included that

Friday evening wouldn't be the same without your videos, keep up the great work!
He's entertaining
Love those drawer pulls! Hopefully I remember that next time I come across a furniture restoration project.
Thub, your will and determination is incredible. I enjoy your videos immensely. Let your roommate know the dresser turned out phenomenal. I hope you take us all along for this week's scrap adventure that you have scheduled. ❤
I'm emptying the dishwasher, and I hear, "But I don't like Plan A"
Thanks for pretty much summing up life!
I had a good laugh.
Wow! That panel box made me tired, cold, and sore right in my own living room! Beautiful piece of furniture ,and a great save from the abyss!
You and your roommate are talented. That is a very nice piece he finished/restored.
Great content as always. Love your ability to find scrap in all the most unlikely places.
Absolutely love your channel. still catching up on older episodes... Been scraping for a long time now maybe 25+ yrs and was still able to learn some things from you.... thank you and keep up the hard work
Love the ending!! Awesome video my friend!

that furniture roomy did is lovely .. they're not flaws they're 'patina'
Legendary panel excavation. That dresser turned out so well.
Bro, your furniture build looks amazing. Mot to mention the house itself.
Well it wasn’t my work on that dresser unfortunately 😅 my roomate does that stuff!
@thubprint still looks dope as hell!
So positive when dealing with dumpster owners!
Amazing video as always already can’t wait for the next one
Thub is the Hardest Working Man in Scrap-Business 😁
Wrong. There's Mike TS in Texas.
@@Rasputin-p4eThub comes a close 2nd
Wow that is a nice chunk..very good
Looks like you step in and out of the dumpster my friend, I just use the ol' hookstick. Thanks for the awesome video
Superchat for all the effort put in to get that huge panel of ally out, cheers for another fun video Thub!
Thanks for the help, always appreciated!
switches are always worth the time on a snow day as long as you have a jar to drop the contacts in
Wow looks fantastic, love the old furniture

Btw the dresser came out very nice, so cool of you to help out a friend! Nice scoooore as always!
Man that turned out great
Привет 👋 , вот это крутой кусок железа тебе попался 👍🙂 , с новым годом тебя!!!
Copper... Where aaare you? 😎 Happy new year.
@ 😃🤣😀
Love the chest of drawers. Good days work with the scrap.
Those components inside that cabinet. They should all have silver plated contacts
I like the persistence to get that aluminum piece
All that concrete dust in the first bin had me sneezing - and I am in North Carolina!
“I don’t like ‘Plan A’.” 🤣
I have to commend you for trying your backside off to get frozen, covered in snow items out of dumpsters for us.
🙏🏴🇬🇧✌
Eyup Yorkshireman. Where you from ?
Yay something to watch before work!
Funny how often you seem Tim Horton coffee cups in the dumpsters. Make for a good drinking game.
The times when you wish you had a bionic exoskeleton suit.😃
Its always the way all the good stuff is half coverd and hard to get but i am stubborn and i am going to dig it out some how.
Scrapman and the Scrap Signal are the makings of an amazing series...I mean, you sorta have a utility belt and scrapmobile....
That looks great

still wild to see two mellow adventures, can't wait to see what the job site brings as well as those switches
Good thing you are young and nimble
I’d say go for it.clean aluminum and whatever else you find
Should keep a folding army type shovel in your truck.
You seem to be happy again brother hope 2025 is an awesome year for you. Stay safe regards from England
Thanks so much! I am optimistically going into this year, I believe I’ll feel much more like myself before long

The mess next to the dumpster looks like someone had a box full and the bottom fell out so they just walked away. Too cold to pick it all up. 😂

I keep telling you but I don’t honk you hear me lift it with you legs you got this
I am thinking Mike the Scavenger would have had that dumpster shakin in it's boots.
Don't put the switches in water use air to clean them out if you don't get all the water out it will set the concrete.
Just take it. Keep digging for more.
Your roommate is very talented at wood working . Does he sell what he refinishes?
He does! It’s kind of his thing
Can you plz do a episode of the perfect truck for scraping if the sky was the li

The guy leaving a mess didn't use a batsignal, but a ratsignal.
Any 2nd hand construction places in Calgary? They might take the whole lot.

Hi Thub I commented on your story telling voice a while ago don't know if you remember but have you done anything about it yet
How come you throw so much bits off wire back and a little motor from that thing with the battery
Just didn’t see a lot of value in it, trying to be quick
Hey brother, always been curious how much do you make off of doing TH-cam? 🎉
I feel like taking the effort to take the breakers off, there wouldn't have been that much more time to clean it up
Me personally if I fight that hard to retrieve something like that I want maximum benefit. 😅

I like DaVinci
Never mind scrapping. You should consider a career in dumpster archaeology the time you spend digging for stuff 😂
