lucas black was in ncis:nola for a while and there's this one scene where he drifts down a parking garage and goes "still got it" and i can't tell you how loud i screamed alksjfdh 😂
I love watching guilty pleasure because it is ridiculous. I may or may not have watched the movies that they discuss. But I enjoy their banter. I can keep my brain in the fridge and enjoy the conversation. 😂 I really enjoyed the Nick cage one! And the vin diesel simping 😂😂
Han's name in the franchise is actually 'Han Lue', but he plays with his name in Fast 5 and so 'Han Seoul-Oh' is a nod to him being a Han Solo/ Star Wars fan in the Fastiverse
Lucas Black was one of the best child actors of his age back then...He even got awards for his role in 'Sling Blade'...Also, Lucas was just 21 in real life when he acted in Tokyo Drift in 2006...Alabama genes played with his forehead I suppose, but he was Awesome as Sean Boswell...Deleted scenes will make you respect him a lot more!
Bow Wow's Twinkie is the one who gets Sean his car parts to remodel the dumped car outside Han's garage for the final race...He is their man in getting the required items at cheap price through his contacts...So he was essential for the plot
I'm surprised no one mentioned that Han is so cool, he started in a different franchise. Justin Lin's first movie was a high school crime movie called Better Luck Tomorrow and Han is a supporting character. It shows him smoking which is why he starts snacking in the Fast and Furious movies. And he does have a different last name in it but Justin Lin has said that's why he's named Seoul-Oh; it's an alias.
Bit of a missed opportunity on the fun facts… Justin Lin’s second movie “Better Luck Tomorrow” has a character named Han played by Sung Kang. Great movie, check it out. That is unofficially (but official because it came from Justin Lin’s mouth) young Han. In that movie Han was a chain smoker and that is where the oral fixation comes from. Just adds to the appeal of this movie since I loved “Better Luck Tomorrow.”
Twinkie was actually a chocolate bar/ some kind of edible item which was yellow on the outside but white on the inside...So actually Earl played by Jason Tobin in Tokyo Drift (Rocket scientist guy in F9) was supposed to play that character which makes absolute sense, but since Universal already contacted Bow Wow they had to put him in that role...That's why in F9 Bow Wow says, 'I don't go by that name anymore'...Justin himself had said that was a very odd choice to name him that
FYI think Japan stuck to those kinda phones with the number keys for longer than other places because of the way you type their characters... idk how it works but its easier that way or something......... citation needed haha
I'm surprised this crew still gushes over Paul Walker. His girlfriend at the time of his death was 16 and he was 33 when they started dating. Another girlfriend before her was 16 and he was 28. If this was a teacher or any other not famous, handsome person there would be outrage. But Paul Walker gets a pass. For those that want to argue that he did not have sex with them until they were 18, that is called "grooming" for everyone else but him.
Yo! I’m kinda disappointed that no one else in the comments has mentioned this. Like they should at least say something to the effect of separate the art from the artist. But instead they gush…. Surely they know.
@@clairemarie231 Yes, I'm not a fan of the films but I really enjoy their discussion of them since they are sooooo passionate about the series but that enjoyment is blunted any time his name comes up and there is not even the smallest acknowledgement or disclaimer of his problematic status.
havent watched any of the movies but i googled paul walker to see how old he looked when they mentioned him and was definitely not expecting to find out that his girlfriend at the time of his death was literally one year older than his daughter 🤮
Was Han not also in high school in this? How could the future thing make any sense? He fell in love with Gal Gadot and lost her and THEN went to high school? Whaaaaaa?
omg finally another fast&furious episode!! was just about to ask when's the next one bc i remember i was promised 1 out of every 4 episode would be a f&f episode lmao
Okay, in a Paul Walker documentary on Crave or HBO said that Paul wasn't offered Lucas's role, but was originally offered Vin's cameo but turned it down as the filming was the same time as a family funeral & he said that his family came first, so I think some of the facts are wrong
Kelsey's commentary always has me dying laughing! Lol These episodes put me in such a good mood 🥰 I just finished Single Drunk Female & Garrick was great!!! Can't wait for what's next
I keep forgetting how young you guys are! The fact that you didn’t even mention that the high school quarterback rival in the US was Brad from Home Improvement (aka Zachery Ty Bryan) made me feel SOOOOO old! 😱😂🤪
Tokyo drift was literally the only one of the series that I've seen. I'm waiting to meet friends that either have seen and like this series or want to experience a fast and fur-a-thon with me for the first time.
YOU GUYS DEFINITELY NEED TO WATCH THE DELETED SCENES OF TOKYO DRIFT! THEY ARE ABSOLUTE GEMS! IT'LL MAKE YOU APPRECIATE THE TOKYO DRIFT CREW MORE, AND SEAN A LOT TO BE HONEST!
And HAN IS MY ORIGINAL FICTIONAL BOYFRIEND. I have been in love with that man since 2006 and I was 10 years old. XD Even now, if I see that actor in a movie, I squeal like a fucking schoolgirl.
I'm sorry if you are going to the Fast Saga. Then you guys need to do Gone in 60 Seconds. The Nick Cage classic that came out the year before The Fast and The Furious. A Jerry Bruckheimer thrill ride. By far one of the guiltiest pleasures of a movie.
this convinced me to watch this movie and this franchise and my life may never be the same tokyo drift by teriyaki boys is also one of the greatest songs ever written for a movie and i'm not kidding
Speaking of Paul Walker ♥️, can y’all please watch Meet the Deedles? It’s an amazing 90s movie staring Paul Walker and Steve Van Wormer as surfers turned park rangers. It’s hilarious. It’s just a 90s feel good with heroes beating the villain. Let’s do it!
lucas black was in ncis:nola for a while and there's this one scene where he drifts down a parking garage and goes "still got it" and i can't tell you how loud i screamed alksjfdh 😂
It’s so nice to see these people talk passionately, raving about this movie that the majority of people didn’t like. I’m here for it 😂
I wasn‘t even aware ppl disliked this movie before they said it?? I just thought it was everyone‘s favorite lmao
@@_MJ_x Couldn't be more wrong my friend. That's why there was never a sequel or anything like it. No demand for it
I love watching guilty pleasure because it is ridiculous. I may or may not have watched the movies that they discuss. But I enjoy their banter. I can keep my brain in the fridge and enjoy the conversation. 😂 I really enjoyed the Nick cage one! And the vin diesel simping 😂😂
THIS WAS TOTALLY UNEXPECTED! A TOKYO DRIFT EPISODE OUT OF NOWHERE!!!
Kelsey not being able to say rear wheel drive made me learn I also cannot say rear wheel drive I’m sitting here like “weal weal drive”
if i may speak on behalf of everyone, i love that the title rhymes
That fresh prince reference was impeccably timed 😆
The timing. 😂
That theme song with Vin at the end was 'Los Bandoleros'! AN ABSOLUTE MASTERPIECE!
Han's name in the franchise is actually 'Han Lue', but he plays with his name in Fast 5 and so 'Han Seoul-Oh' is a nod to him being a Han Solo/ Star Wars fan in the Fastiverse
I could do a whole podcast series on just Tokyo Drift thats how much I love it. That parking garage scene is where I wanna go when I die
i LOVE car talk with garrick

He was in the original Friday Night Lights movie right? He played the awkward second string quarterback.
Pretty sure he was 23 or 24
Still not 40 though 😂
I never understood the appeal of those movies, but still love hearing them discuss 🤣
Bow Wow's Twinkie is the one who gets Sean his car parts to remodel the dumped car outside Han's garage for the final race...He is their man in getting the required items at cheap price through his contacts...So he was essential for the plot

I have not seen a single F&F movie and feel like I never need to cause I can just listen to this and enjoy it through you lol
Me too. Hilarious episodes and I never have any context

Yo, the Initial D reference had me actively listening, brings back memories of going to the arcade and playing the game and collecting those cards 😂
We need an episode on Single Drunk Female! It’s so good and I would love to hear Garrick talk more about it
i second this!
Cant believe you guys didn't bring up the Han origin story movie better luck tomorrow.
It’s called MariKart and it is definitely not illegal / outlawed - just did it this past year while I was pregnant in Okinawa 😂
I could have had another hour of this convo, love the passion FAMILIA
Lucas Black was only 22 when this was filmed lol
FYI think Japan stuck to those kinda phones with the number keys for longer than other places because of the way you type their characters... idk how it works but its easier that way or something......... citation needed haha
Please have John Green as a guest. His movie or not, it works either way
We need an episode of season 2 of Bridgeton!
Fun fact: crash scene and garage scene is filmed in LA. I was an extra.
Why Rick always be puttin his shoes on the couch 😩😂

Love the subtle Peacemaker plug from Garrick
Was Han not also in high school in this? How could the future thing make any sense? He fell in love with Gal Gadot and lost her and THEN went to high school? Whaaaaaa?
Kelsey, when are the “value your punani and your life” tshirts coming out? I’d like to preorder😂
Um hello Han and Gal Gadot planned to go Japan together when they got the money from the heist 😩 don’t do my boy like that🥲😂
My first car drifted so well! It was super fun. 1998 Volvo V90
Yall finally talked me into watching all the f&f movies last week and I'm so glad it was right before the Tokyo drift episode came out
omg finally another fast&furious episode!! was just about to ask when's the next one bc i remember i was promised 1 out of every 4 episode would be a f&f episode lmao
This was the start I needed to my week. ❤️❤️❤️
I was always teased for loving this film. So glad you guys made this !!!❤️
😂Kelsey - I like my rear to be shocked! I'm dead. Love u! Good show guys!
I have been waiting for this... Thank you!!!
this podcast is great, i hope it never ever ends

thank you for the initial d reference omg

Sean and Leela actually kiss in the deleted scene...where we also get to see what happens to DK after the race!
when i was in tokyo i saw the mario gokarts but didnt realize *I* could do it. goddamn
Kelsey is right! That song was the vibe back in youth group days! Lmao.
Someone from school gave me a bootleg copy of Tokyo Drift when it first came out and that was the first time I saw it
YOU GUYS DEFINITELY NEED TO WATCH THE DELETED SCENES OF TOKYO DRIFT! THEY ARE ABSOLUTE GEMS! IT'LL MAKE YOU APPRECIATE THE TOKYO DRIFT CREW MORE, AND SEAN A LOT TO BE HONEST!
I watched F9 before bed so this is just a special treat ❤️🤩
This brought me all the joy. This movie is a gem.
Do we really not address that Lucas Black spent years on NCIS NEW ORLEANS??
Garricks got a little body on Kelseys shirt for more than half the episode hahahaha
Someone PLEASE make a Vin Deagle meme
Out of the whole franchise, this is the only one I can watch and enjoy.
Omg zach, lucas black was obvioisly on NCIS New Orleans!! 😂 I knew him from that show and then i learned he was in a fast and furious movie lol
An episode on the Initial D animated movie would be kinda fun lol.
I love Zach's pants
I thought Hans last name was 'Lue' no?
It’s the underrated masterpiece of the series. I will defend Tokyo Drift to my death. But I’m a slut for the entire series.
Wow do Sandra Bullock & Keanu Reeves' Speed (1994).
This movie slaps so hard and I’m so glad these 3 love it as much as I do. Unrelated request: Please do Pitch Black this season.
ONE OF MY FAVOURITES OF THE FAST FRANCHISE 😍 👌🏽
Tokyo Drift is my absolute favorite of the franchise. It just hits different!
Zach, there's Christian death metal, not just Christian rap.
How stoned is everyone 😂😂😂
My husband loves this one, and I hate it lol 😆
Love them so much but damn I didn’t know about HAN in F9. Spoiler alert would have been nice 😫😅
Kelsey fearing that Lucas might be Republican is hilarious to me. She's genuinely scared to find out!
Fragile eagles 🤣 I CACKLED
Im a sucker for fast and furious saga😭😭😭
but what character was garrick dressed as in shibuya mario kart?!
Naruto
@@smokedissimo ah cool, thanks! but also...bruh they just letting people ride as random ass characters not even in mario kart now?!
i was hoping he was dressed as bowser
I freaking love this movie. So much that I literally had no idea people hated it until this episode. XD
And HAN IS MY ORIGINAL FICTIONAL BOYFRIEND. I have been in love with that man since 2006 and I was 10 years old. XD Even now, if I see that actor in a movie, I squeal like a fucking schoolgirl.

tokyo drift by teriyaki boys is also one of the greatest songs ever written for a movie and i'm not kidding
I love this movie and I'm not afraid to admit it. Also the title track still is a BOP! #teriyakiboyz
Haven’t seen the movie but that song is one of my faves.
This is by far the best fast and furious movie and I will stand by that
I'm still waiting for a Fast Five episode
Speaking of Paul Walker ♥️, can y’all please watch Meet the Deedles? It’s an amazing 90s movie staring Paul Walker and Steve Van Wormer as surfers turned park rangers. It’s hilarious. It’s just a 90s feel good with heroes beating the villain. Let’s do it!
I feel like these guys need to start watching Donut Media
This is absolutely my fav. Love Japan, love cars - what else does a movie need??
AE86 is my dream car, and I still haven’t even seen initial D. 😩
I LOVE INITIAL D!!! One of my first animes!!!!
That Paul Walker fun fsct had me rolling lmao. Welcome to the female actors' world!
Y'all should all move to Texas 🤗
Tokyo Drift is my favorite of the whole franchise. I've watched it so many times.
Apparently Lucas Black was 24 when Tokyo Drift came out. So he was actually younger than a lot of people who end up playing teenagers.
Wait that music was from demolition ranch??? So no that wasn't Lucas
Trys Guys Try Drifting ! Please make this happen!
Honestly Tokyo Drift is the best!! And my favorite 🫶🏻
Garrick is soooo fine!🥵😍
IT'S GRITS FEATURING TOBYMAC BITCHESSSSSSSS. Classic 2000's Contemporary Christian Music.
I'm sorry...did you say he's supposed to he in HIGH SCHOOL!?
