Reaching 1500 ELO in chess is not an impossible task to do. It can be really simple actually. You just need to keep your moves simple, follow principled chess. You don't need fancy moves to get to 1500 ELO.

At 6:53, you don't promote the pawn when they intercede with the rook; you take the rook and when they recapture, THEN you promote to a queen--with check.
