sure most beautifil. second is metro in Tashkent capital of Uzbekistan. at least old Soviet part of metro. was there about 20 years ago.
One of the most beautiful stations is Mayakovskaya. During the war, it served as a bomb shelter during air attacks. There are photos where there are many beds at this station. People lived there.

If you are at the station "Partizanskaya", stop at the monument with the inscription "Hero of the Soviet Union Matvey Kuzmich Kuzmin", bow to him. After all, without such people as he, there would not be today our Motherland.
Kuzmin Matvey Kuzmich was born August 3, 1858 in the village Kurakino Pskov province in the family of a serf peasant. The kings changed, the revolution receded, collective farms began to be organized. Matvey Kuzmich refused to join the collective farm. To achieve this goal the Germans needed a guide from the local residents. The Nazis summoned Matvey Kuzmich and set the task before him-to lead them to the village of Pershino. For work promised money, flour, kerosene and hunting rifle. Matvey Kuzmich agreed to become a guide. On the night of February 14, the German detachment led by Matvey Kuzmich left the village of Kurakino. All night, the fascists, along with Kuzmin, walked in paths known only to the old hunter. At dawn Matvey Kuzmich led the Germans to the village. Suddenly, fire was opened from all sides. About 83-year-old peasant, who repeated the feat of Ivan Susanin, the country learned immediately. Essays and articles were published. Statues with a history. Who is immortalized at the station "Revolution Square" :
At the metro station "Ploshchad Revolyutsii" 76 bronze figures of the sculptor Matvei Manizer, depicting Soviet people of different times, are installed. 20 images are repeated in 4 identical statues and 2 images are repeated only twice. This is Arkady Antonovich Hydrat (1911-1941). Athlete, graduate and teacher of the State Central Institute of Physical Culture. Champion of Moscow and the USSR in high jump, the hero of many newspaper articles. Unlike the girl Nina, the sculptor saw his photo and invited him to pose.Unfortunately, in 1941 Arkady Antonovich disappeared without a trace at the front near Leningrad. His remains were found only 60 years later. Instead of the grave, his relatives came to the station and laid flowers to the sculpture.

This is Tamara Kurbatova (1904-1998), a model of the studio Manizer. Later, she married a theater critic Leonid Kolbert-Nezhdanoff. She never saw herself in a metro sculpture, because she loved land transport!

For the sculpture, the Cadet of the Leningrad Red Banner Higher Naval School staged Alexei Nikitenko. In 1937 Manizer asked the school to find his model for working on the figure of the revolutionary sailor for the future metro station. In the school Matvey Henrykovich was recommended to choose a suitable candidate. Thus, the choice fell on Nikitenko. Belt with machine gun belts and a revolver a young man posed in the studio for six months. It was sealed. Unfortunately, Nikitenko did not see the result (he was not in Moscow). But he fought against Japan, commanded the ship, was awarded the order and to the captain of the first rank.

Oh I love russian underground. I used to live in London and metro there is so ugly (also no signal). My favourite station is novoslobodsaka tbh (heh maybe because it's my station 🙈). But yeah also trains in underground each has free wifi and it's very comfortable 👌 Have a good trip and if you need help or recommendations just shout out 😄
Yes the metro system was great! They even have TVs set up inside the carts that play all the fifa matches live! Pretty cool 😊
Hu's Lost - Sam and Dan Hu yeah that's good they put TV up. Also you probably didn't notice coz everything is in Russian but in center there are also themed trains. The ones I saw: famous russian paintings, WW2 USSR films, Christmas train (for new year), science trains and others 😊😊

One of the cooliest themed train is Retro Train "Sokolniki" built in style of 1930's Moscow metro trains.

Ребята, я бывал и в Америке, и в Англии, и во Франции...И везде метро сделаны самым обычным способом, лишь бы людей перевозить как-нибудь! И только метро в Москве, и Санкт-Петербурге - это не метро, а музеи истории нашей страны, это лучшие метро в мире!!!

Хрущёвская контра боролась с излишествами в архитектуре, чтобы уменьшить величие свободного рабочего класса. А при капитализме станции строятся только для того, чтобы там побольше людей проходило с наименьшими издержками на обслуживание ради прибыли.

2:04 actually, they don't, It was built before WWII in 1938, and there is a hint in the station name "Revolution Square", those statues represent revolution fighters and people during Russian revolution of 1917.

You visited a kind of underrated and not very often filmed Elektrozavodskaya station (fantastic lighting system, gives me sci-fi vibe) but also missed one of the most beautiful stations - Mayakovskaya as someone already mentioned.
We loved the Elektrozavodskaya station, it was so different from the others! But still can’t believe we missed Mayakovskaya!! 😞

Для меня метро - подземная тюрьма. Какими бы красивыми не были станции, жизни в них я никогда не чувствовал и находиться там мне не приятно.

Очень рад что наконец то открыли МЦК, пользуюсь теперь в основном им - в вагонах чувствуешь себя человеком, можно положить вещи, повесить куртку, расслабиться, посмотреть в окно и увидеть улицы, небо, рассвет и закат. Ну и конечно же очень доволен что можно бесплатно и почти без проблем проезжать с велосипедом - большое подспорье для человека ведущего здоровый образ жизни.

Nice video guys! One small correction: the Metro station Plaza of the Revolution was not about WWII. Built in 1938 before that war, it is dedicated to the Russian Revolution and is located underneath the Revolution Square overhead. Otherwise, very nice and thanks.
