Only in Xenoblade Chronicles you'll find a track that could easily be ANY final boss battle theme to be just a regular enemy battle theme....thats just how glorious this soundtrack is.
Settlement Gamer Hell yeah it is! My recommendation is to stay as spoiler-free as you can before you play the Definitive Edition for yourself in May. I watched a playthrough way before I had the game, so I "spoiled" myself for Xenoblade 1, but I managed to stay blind for the entirety of Xenoblade 2 and it was so worth it. Honestly, both Xenoblade 1 & 2 are amazing games (I haven't played Xenoblade Chronicles X so I don't know much about it). If you're a fan of JRPGs, then you'll probably love the series. And don't even get me started on the music.
Xenoblade Chronicles is an amazing game, the Definitive Edition is definitely worth picking up. The game really pushed the Wii to its limits with the game's scale, to the point it had to look like a PS2 game to make it all fit and run. You are in for an amazing experience.
From the mechonis sword onwards, the mechonis areas were just such a joy to experience, and this battle theme epitomises what the party are feeling. Finally after years of living in fear for their lives, attacks from the mechon and people being kidnapped and slaughtered, a group of homs are taking the fight back to the mechon, full steam ahead without holding back.
I love how within all of these electronic sounds and instruments, there's still a violin making a hopeful melody - representing Shulk and co with the hope of stopping Egil's plans
ArcRiseGen Please try not to spoil any names of major characters. I know many have played this game but due to the remaster coming soon many people who never had the chance would have such a wonderful story ruined.
@@johnnyneutron1530 Well i mean, just mentioning the name "Egil" won't mean much to someone who hasn't played the game, the only kind of spoiler is the person who replied "Then you find out what's really going on" implying a twist.

One of the best parts of any game ever, and this song is such an important part of it - not only is it just absolutely fantastic, but it really perfectly matches the mood of the game at this point with how you feel like everything’s ramping up and coming to a head, and it even works thematically as a representation of the growing vengeful rage that Shulk (and Zanza) are feeling at this point You’re a 7-man army that’s actually starting to look like it’s going to succeed in leading the revolution against an entire world of war machines, but the mix of emotions it took to get there is starting to become unsustainable and deeply dangerous

I first head this song from Smash 4, and I couldn't figure out where it came from - it wasn't like the other Xenoblade songs. Fast forward a year or so, and I target an enemy on the Fallen Arm. It's such a breath of fresh air from Time to Fight. Then I got to Mechonis Core and heard Irregular Bound...
Gotta agree with you. Hot take here, all the tracks in the Remaster are not as good as the original and I was happy to see that they let you listen to the original sound track over the arranged if you wanted.
I sorta disagree, but hey, that's my opinion. I like the furthering of the more mechanical-sounding instruments of the song in the remaster, personally.
The odd part about XC1's soundtrack is how realistic it sounds. It's played by MIDI instruments but it still sounds real. 1/23/2024 edit: I realized that the compression made it sound like this based on the replies. And well the song. Which means yeah, real instruments are being used, but the compression makes it sound otherwise.
I'm pretty sure they used quite a lot of real electric guitars / drums (at least that what I'm hearing in this track), but I'm surprised that the MIDI strings don't detract to its intensity.
This shares a lot in common with You Will Know Our Names (the chorus especially). I thought it was a new unique monster battle theme the first time I heard it.
