Gracias por el comentario! He hecho algunos proyectos en los que la guitarra suena mucho más realista. Este fue mi primer intento, y ya te puedo decir que no suena muy bien :P
Omg, that's awesome. I actually stumbled into something virtual but it sounds real! I've been wanting to make metal with LMMS but I can't afford an electric guitar, so that's a shame. Awesome job. (btw, the link to the amps and cabinet doesn't work or exist anymore. Blog has been removed. :/)
@@thirs7y972 That's great to hear. I also want to try out with a synthesized electric guitar so I can't wait for the links. Thanks again and it's okay if I try to learn and replicate your experiment, right?
@@thirs7y972 So I have been searching around the soundfonts and amps you used, and I found them, but... Is the Shinyguitar sfzs don't work? The only functional ones are the electric guitar and the electric noises. Also, may I ask a question? How do you put your amps and cabinets in your effects? I've been struggling how to put that and the internet gave me no answers ;-;
@@thirs7y972 Omg thanks so much, that helped my custom vst fx problem! Now I managed to get it in! I already have sforzando but many files of Shinyguitar isn't really readable still. The audo files work, so I'm wondering if I got an outdated version. Is using another guitar and giving the same plugins like what you did give a similar effect? If not, I might need to find an sfz electric guitar alternative.
Can you show a Tutorial on how did you make this project, please!? I'm troubling setting things up. 1. How did you setup your cabinet and amp? 'Coz Lmms can't read my downloaded ddl files on fx to add. Opening those on vestige also acts as display doing nothing at all on my guitar vst's. 2. What are your settings on built in effects in the control rack ? Is your FX setup on the vst plugin or is it setup on the piano roll? 3. My other downloaded guitar vst has no sound. Also how did you make that kind of sound on shinyguitar vst? That's the one I'm looking for! 4. Did you set various distortions on the piano roll? or is it fix and dependent from the cabinet and amp? 5. I also have guitar vst UI programmed to sfz file, how can I use it in LMMS? I just downloaded LMMS few weeks ago. I found it user-friendly for some reasons, so I may continue using this decent free DAW for my not-super-fast laptop. I hope you answer my questions. Please bear with me.
I uploaded the file a long time ago: lmms.io/lsp/?action=show&file=15828 Although you'll have to download the soundfonts and samples separately. Really, the only thing you might be able to salvage is the midi. Even then, I recommend you use Unreal Instrument's METAL GTX soundfont instead of Shiny Guitar (the one used in this video). Here are a couple of METAL GTX demos: th-cam.com/video/_g8GihhzdDo/w-d-xo.html and from the soundfont author: th-cam.com/video/aghb9XWO4PU/w-d-xo.html.
Hey! I am currently no longer using LMMS, I've switched to Reaper wich is a more feature rich DAW, so take everything I say with a grain of salt. The last time I used LMMS it didn't have audio recording capabilities, although that might have changed. I remember there was an unofficial version of LMMS with audio recording that you could dowload from a github repo, but it was a bit buggy. My suggestion is that you first join the LMMS official discord server and ask there. Otherwise you can easily use another software like Audacity to record your guitar and import the audio into an audio track in LMMS. Good luck!
I don't know if you are still trying to emulate an electric guitar, but I am currently making an electric guitar sample library that will be in SFZ format, and would be willing to give you a copy of what I have so far c:
@@matsandersson7494 Yes, I recorded all the samples in the sfz file with my guitar. The link to the sfz is here: drive.google.com/file/d/12lKHTWNL5bU3puQcPaWFgJK_SkSDdFpf/view
Ok... I know it took me 2 years to respond BUT... I finally downloaded your sfz and I gotta say, I'm impressed. To answer your question, yes, I'm still trying to emulate electric guitar, I think I've got it mostly down though, I use a soundfont called METAL-GTX, wich is amazing, cuz it has stereo samples, key-switches for a crap ton of articulations and velocity layers and it's free. I recomend you download it and try it for yourself. As for your soundfont, it's not quite GTX, but it could be. I ran it through some of my amp sim presets and it sounds really good. I noticed you recorded 16 different audio files for each note and split them in 2 sfz files and cycle the samples as you play. I assume you're supposed to pan one to the right and the other to the left to make a stereo guitar, very clever. I don't know if sforzando supports lossless compression formats like flac, but it might be worth a try, it also needs a lot more articulations if you want to use it for complex stuff like solos. In general, I think you've got something with good potential here. As it stands right now I probably wouldn't use it on a song by itself, especially as a lead or solo guitar, but it could make for really nice backing guitars, or as quad tracking with GTX to make a really heavy tone. I don't know if you've updated the library since you posted this comment, but if you did I would be really interested in trying it out. Thank you so much for making and sharing the soundfont, there are not enough good sampled guitars in the world. Keep up the good work!
The one from this video I'm not sure. It was a clean guitar soundfont I found somewhere. I've actually made a couple guitar soundfont demos since then and a couple songs that showcase a better guitar soundfont called METAL-GTX. I recommend you use that instead.
@@thirs7y972 btw, I have just one more question, how is sforzando different from the lmms sf2 player, because the ultimate guitar kit is a sf2, but you're using it with sforzando.
This video is so interesting. Will you do "Falling away from me" from Korn, "Stand alone" from Godsmack, and finally "Sonne" from Rammstein, please? thank you so much in advance.
Hello, your work is awesome! Could you please help me and my friend with the setting up of our sforzando metal gtx. I believe we've got all the amps we need, we just can't make the guitar sound as good as this.
@Xamkil44 if you have it you open the sforzando then you click load an instrument or whatever its called. You'll see it, it's like a drop down menu, then you click import then you locate the metal gtx files.
