    I appreciate your flair for presenting the basics and teaching with precise vocabulary needed to describe the essential maneuvers especially for crimping, wire work and finishing of necklace closures.

    Will the same technique work for a wristlet to put on a phone case ?

    • @FireMountainGems
      @FireMountainGems  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It would most likely work for that. You will want to make sure that the clip or clasp is strong enough to hold the weight of the phone and that the connection point on the phone case is secure enough. It is not an application we have tried, but good luck! 😊

    What size wire do you recommend?

    • @FireMountainGems
      @FireMountainGems  ปีที่แล้ว

      You can use almost any size of beading wire depending on the bead hole size. A lot of beads will have a hole size of 0.5mm-1.5mm, so you could start with a size 0.018 or smaller and that should fit most beads! Accu-Flex is a great option, but we have a variety of beading wire: www.firemountaingems.com/shop/beading_wire

    what is the length of the wire for the lanyard would you suggest?

    • @FireMountainGems
      @FireMountainGems  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It depends on length preference and if you have a reel attached as well. The design in the video uses (2) 24" lengths that are joined together by the clasp and the keyring. This was also taking into account the the crimping and any excess trimming, but that would be a good starting length to work with.

      Hello! We are using Accu-flex beading wire. You can browse our selection here: firemtn.co/3Ze06tl
      If you would like to see the design details and material list as well, you can find that here: firemtn.co/3MHmlAf

    How would you add a badge reel to this? Is that possible?

    • @FireMountainGems
      @FireMountainGems  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you added a keyring like Rose used in the video (or some other type of large ring) you can clip the reel directly to that. Most reels have some sort of clip that can work with the keyring. You can order badge reels directly from Fire Mountain as well! www.firemountaingems.com/search?searchtype=Shop&keywords=badge+reel
      If you want to be able to attach it to a much smaller loop or ring, you could also add a snap hook to the reel: www.firemountaingems.com/itemdetails/h20b3783fn

    Is your lanyard made with neam wire? Or a wax rope?
