Honestly jisoo and jennie killed it on this stage for me they blew me away with they’re talent
Despite their incredible talent, everyone was genuinely surprised at how well they performed this. Plus many people said that BP couldn’t sing live and then they did this and shut most of them up. Jennie and Lisa wrote the rap parts that they added at the end. And this appeared on a TV show in Korea called Party People and is owned by JYP Entertainment (JYP himself is seen vibing to the song several times during the performance. 🔥

As trainees they were required to perform group song for evaluation, and this is their most famous. The YG CEO praised it, very rare for him. This is from the TV show Party People hosted by JY Park. CEO of JYP Entertainment, think Twice. It is likely JY Park knew of this as YG and JYP cooperate and asked them to perform it on his TV Show. This was the beginning of my bias for Jisoo!!
Yes, they look young as this was very soon after their Aug.2016 debut. There are a number of clips from the show an interview, dance performance, and my favorite Rose' singing solo and playing a borrowed guitar ($6500 Gibson).

SBS Party People is a musical variety show in Korea. Interestingly, it is hosted by J.Y. Park (known as JYP), the owner of JYP Entertainment, which is a rival entertainment company of YG (Blackpink’s label). JYP is the man in white shirt and black vest you can see bopping to the beat in one of the shots.

This was a TV show called Party People, a talk/music show hosted by JYP, the CEO of JYP Entertainment, one of the "Big 3" K-Pop companies in S. Korea. JYP invited BLACKPINK to perform even though they were from a competing company, he's also a rapper and a cool guy. That's the guy that they cut to during the performance. By the way the show was taped at JYP's nightclub, alcohol was served during taping!
When I found BLACKPINK, I thought they were pretty damn cool. This is the performance that made me a BLINK.

This is the live performance that I recommend most to people who have recently met Blackpink, and from this they understand that Blackpink are limitless because every time they manage to surprise people, used to certain types of songs, with something that is not expected from them!
The show is called Party People. Hosted by JYP.
The story is that they did this for their monthly evaluation in order to debut with YG. The head of JYP (one of the big 3 labels in Korea) has a Party People concert series and is a massive Miguel fan. He heard BP did this version and had to have them perform it. Jennie and Lisa wrote the middle raps. Dude they showed rocking out in the middle of the video is the head of JYP. They also danced to partition by Beyoncé later at the concert.

This was a favor the YG( owner) did for his friend JYP( owner) , the man on the right bopping his head, to put them on his show “Party people” and they had just debuted, so YG was entrusting JYP with his gems, talk about trust. But the Girls were in great hands because JYP treated them exceptionally, and really let them shine, with live vocals and special stages........you really need to see the whole show.....many iconic clips that are now high rated videos. From the start , The Girls were impressive in everything they did , and it hasn’t stopped.
