There's also one thing that is still infamous: since the Barartie arc, the voice cast only listed the main cast (including the opening narration and Gold Roger), and only updated once a new crew member appears. In short, there are many unknown New Yorkers that did voice work for this version of One Piece, and they need to be identified after all these years. Sure, there are many that have stepped forward, but there were a handful of false leads for certain characters. (For example, when you hear this version of Bellemere, does that sound like Veronica Taylor to you?)
Heck no one owns these endings actually. They're just in a limbo of licensing. Even with 4kids now being 4licensing Corporation, They kept the ending rights of Pokemon season 1.

I wish the DVDs included commentaries by 4kids staff and cast members who worked on the show. They could talk about the reasons for specific changes, their personal opinions on the show, how the cast felt about playing their respective characters and more.

Indeed. I never understand why they come up with these gimmicks - they rarely work and end up running a channel into the ground. That or they take one show, promote and adore the hell out of it, and then discard it unceremoniously (Pokémon here is a great example - stayed on Sky 1 for most of its run to around 2005-6, moved to Cartoon Network, moved to Jetix around 2009/10, moved to a graveyard and 6am slot when it became Disney XD yet still showed episodes to the start of XY and then dropped it. CITV airs the episodes now, but it's not a channel you can get in Ireland unless you manually tune it into your Sky box, and even then you can't record programs from manually added channels. Kinda why I've fallen so far behind on it)
My question is; why is there a Tween Sitcom airing in the same channel as One Piece? Let alone airing on a channel that has "Toon" in the name despite it not being a cartoon.
I hate to say it but while I admit their dub of One Piece wasn't perfect?? I'm really gonna miss 4Kids since it was one of my favorite channel blocks growing up since it was where I watched TMNT 03' when I was a kid :)
Same. That's basically how I got into Anime ever since I stumbled upon the channel as a child. And Yu-Gi-Oh! Was playing. Kaiba was standing on the back of a train dueling against Yugi. Been an Anime fan even before I knew the difference between Anime and Cartoons.

These end credtis were one of the reasons why I thought that One Piece was Made in USA. You could imagine my disappointment when I discovered, years later, that it was "Americanized" so to speak.

I heard a funny rumor about the New Yorker thing. Apparently for casting, they asked a bartender from NY to voice Sanji.
David Moo is a bartender. He switched to bartending fulltime after retiring from voice acting. I miss his Sanji voice, but hats off to you, man.

Late to the conversation but still strange. I saw some archives the other day just for the experience. It said it had a C8 rating.
If you told me there was a network where One Piece led into Life with Derek, I frankly would not have believed you.
