Stacks and ethanol in Glen Ellyn, really short manifest, NS8100 Nickel Plate Road in Geneva

The main attraction of this day was NS8100 Nickel Plate Road which was leading the UP MNPPR manifest. We had heard on the scanner one of the engines had issues and risked not being able to make it to Proviso. MNPPR had been stopped at La Fox, IL for a bit. It was at 5:27pm when MNPPR with NS8100 leading passed through Geneva, IL.
Prior to catching NS8100, we spent some time at Glen Ellyn, IL and saw a two car manifest and a westbound manifest that slowed down and stopped for a little bit. The third main track project continues to make progress and each time out in Geneva is a step closer to seeing the track ready for mainline service.
