There is a lot of confusion about charging Lifepo4 batteries in lead acid mode. I already had 4 100ah off the shelf batteries and added 4 more. We spend a lot of money with you for these inverters and it seems this area is lacking. thanks
What about battery share? If you have two units in parallel, do you have to parallel the batteries physically or will the 600xp sort that out if connected separately but in parallel via the inverter? 🤔
If setting #11is initial cut off and setting #12 is the final cut off why can't setting #11 be higher than setting #12? The Inverter will not allow me to set the value in #11 higher than the value in #12.
Wish they had a proper UL listing for building codes. Just watched a video where they all had to be removed and replaced to meet electrical code. Just ordered my panels from you but skipped the inverters because of that and looking at alternatives. Will these ever receive proper UL ratings for use under the NEC so they can be legally used?
UL fills two roles in this area. First, generating the standards for NRTLs to certify against. Second, as an NRTL. The NRTLs are functionally equivalent. It doesn't matter if UL or Interek (for e.g.) perform the certification. It is the same thing. You can view the certification of compliance with UL 1741 here: eg4electronics.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/EG4-6000XP-UL1741-Certificate-of-Compliance.pdf.
Hello, I recently installed the eg4 6000xp and I noticed that when it is charging the batteries or powering the loads the fans stay on all the time, is this normal? Because my Solark 8k only turns on the fans based on temperature
I am running my 6 Lifepower4 batteries in lead acid mode. They need updating to work and the software patch wouldn't work. I was promised an updating device but it hasn't arrived yet.
I don't believe AOlithium is a BMS that is supported in closed loop, unless it utilizes a protocol that one of the supported battery brands has. You can find the compatibility list here: eg4electronics.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/EG4-6000XP-Battery-Compatibility-List.pdf Otherwise, you should be able to utilize them in open loop (set as Lead-Acid on the 6000XP).
Far too fast for those not familiar with it already.Much more detail needed, on every single step, again slower. Such as matching audio to finger settings, he is not synching slowly enough to catch and how do you change the date is the order yr / mo / day ? etc etc all along way to confusing for some.
It's a quick start review. It could easily have been an hour if every detail of every setting was demonstrated. You can slow the speed in your YT settings. For details one can consult the manual.
If you have an existing GT system you can force AC charge while your GT is producing, like time of use... keep what you make, island as much as you can. Unless you have a 1 to 1, then this doesn't apply.
Agree on the speed and lack of very specific detail. Signature Solar videos are much more thorough. Will Prowse recommended a quick start guide, but it seems they didn't take his advice. I just purchased this system and no quick start guide for the batteries or inverters. Bummer.

You just started by skipping the switch state for the battery before doing anything. Shouldn't the battery breakers be off?

Can you post a link to the video?

@@AndrewVanTil watch the video. He explains how it is illegal according to the NEC and can't get a permit to finalize the installation.
From my understanding, they have been tested to comply with UL 1741, but are not UL listed, which only happens when UL tests them. Not a third party.

How do I know how many amps to set up for my solar panels
How do I turn them this off of UPS mode for some reason it starts to charge my batteries from grid randomly
Are these settings applied the same to all inverters in parallel
Ex. 4 inverters in parallel
AFAIK, you make the changes on the primary inverter. It publishes the settings to the secondary inverters.

I didn't see the card or link for the GenBoost feature overview. Can you point me to it?
Absolutely, here is a link to that video:

Wonder if this is compatible with AOlithium 48v batteries?

I got the dongle to work sit at my computer and program it using the grid input power lot easier then using that menu on the front of it.

Can this be used in Europe 240v 50hz?
Yes AC input is 220 ~ 240v 2phase / split phase input. Please check manual

Agree, too fast for me. Great equipment, but could use some help to improve this video and more important the app.

On the fence with this and others. They talk like we understand there lingo.
While playing the video, go to the upper-right-hand side of the screen, press on the little gear, you can slow down the video.
