We always wanted to know what happened if he holed up in STH and cleared the field of hunters. Well, it may not have been STH, but now we know! Also, Alex, restock your armor and snacks.
Note to Alex and others the armor stacks and effectively each level gives 20% max armor per level of the armor. So you can still use the other armors you have just more at the same time but will get the same effect.
so being the driver of the pink zion, at around 26:10, that was rather embarrassing... but on my pov it was no where near as obvious!! i watched my own video on this more than 3 times and still never noticed alex in that banshee....
I thought that was you, and it made me laugh so much. Even though, from your point of view, it may feel embarrassing to have missed Alex in the Banshee, from my point of view, it added immensely to the comedy and entertainment value of the video. :)
Yea I went and watched it. I think I just barely noticed what looked like his hair after watching a few times. Ofc that was my full focus on seeing him. I wasn't driving, looking and communicating with others so you shouldn't feel embarrassed about it.
To be fair it doesn't make much sense that you don't know where the cars are or what they are. Gone always had good scouting before boosting the cars they were after.

I agree it's better if he doesn't know what car it is as it means he has to adapt his escape plan accordingly. Also, he can scout like they do in the film - it just risks being seen.

You know what would be interesting, if the target cars were being driven around in loops by 'hunters' and Alex had to jack them in traffic. And if Alex gets spotted first, the 'hunter' can drive off and Alex can either chase or go after another target.

Remember that English isn't everyone's first language and even if it is, spelling something wrong in a TH-cam comment is far from the end of the world. It's super easy to just ignore it and move on, I'd recommend it

I like the surprise endings in Survive the Hunt 47 and Gone in 48 Minutes, very enticing. Unannounced, spur of the moment, risky, especially when pulled off like the escape the country scenario. It was like watching Alien 1979 with the unexpected 4th act. Out of curiosity, could you do STH where you being back the golden snitch? Maybe make that STH all about catching it.

With the car as barricaded in as it was, I think perching up on a roof may have been the call. I'm just guessing that with how he couldn't get it moved very far, someone could go full Revolver Ocelot on him. That being said, it was a fantastic video, so I think you accomplished your mission, one way or the other. Cheers!
I guess what makes this a little more interesting to me is that I lived in LA for 7 years and recognize a lot of the areas you end up in. Not at all to scale as far as distances but VERY realistic as far as the areas and landmarks. Really do enjoy these. Very exciting considering it is just a game in a virtual world. And the rules seem to make it fair enough that it is a challenge for everyone involved and an equal amount of chance or luck can spell doom or success for any player. And certainly a level of skill as far as strategy and chases.
As much as I like these alternative modes, Alex falls a bit too far into his STH default for a car heist activity where time is of the essence. Entertaining for the most part. Correction: The final heist nullified previous qualms. 👍
This series is so damn good, and this was a bloody excellent episode! These gta 5 challenges are so much fun to watch. I appreciate the creativity that went into coming up with them all, and the dedication of Alex and the recording team to make these happen. Always worth the watch!
I do like this format, and it was an absolute bloodbath by the end. I do feel like if you do this again, there should be a lower standard for how good cars should be. That last car was just so shit that you never stood a chance, given that the hunters were all in upgraded cars that are pretty good to begin with.

Possible the best one so far. Plenty of close calls, an insane police fire fight, and the car delivered in the end. I do think that if you get into the car within the 24 hours you can take extra time to deliver it, it seems fair. Getting 5 out of 6 is pretty awesome given the size of the map and all.
To be honest The rule did state that you have to take the car in 5 minutes. If the time runs out WHILE you're in the car, it's okay But you did spend 90% of that chase holed up on a roof killing every hunter, to the point where I think your time in the normal survival would have ended as well. So I feel the rules were only a liiiitle bit stretched That being said... It was amusing to watch. I love the chaos and panic! xD
Awesome video. I love these kind of videos. The Survive the Hunt, Taskmaster and Gone in 60 seconds are always so great to watch. This actually made me think of a new concept. Yes, I know, everyone seems to know best, and just read it and if you don't like it, don't do it. But if you do like it, give it a shot. :) My idea is basically to combine all 3 types into a new one. Call it "The ultimate FailRace challenge" if you will. Or anything else that is better that you can come up with is fine too. Here are the rules for this gametype: 1 player, 1 taskmaster vs hunters. All hunters, except for the one in the blimp if present will choose a supercar. They make their car pink and then park their car somewhere on the map. Their approximate locations are given to Alex. At the start, Alex sets off in a car, so he as a chance to change into something else. At the 2 minute mark, the hunters are set free. One of the hunters communicate to the task master that they are on the go. All hunters roam free, no guards. The task master now randomly selects one of the cars from the map location. This will be the car to steal. The task master now also chooses another car location where there are at least 3 other cars closer to the steal location. (just to ensure that these 2 locations are not too close to eachother). The taskmaster will go to this location and hides. (Task master can do this before the hunters are set free) but he can only communicate these 2 locations to Alex after the hunters are free. Alex must first destroy at least 3 supercars that are NOT the car to steal or the task master location. After that, Alex may choose to destroy more supercars. This is optional, but can be a strategy to go for. Alex then steals the supercar dedicated by the Task Master. He then drives this car to the Task Master's location to pick him up and finally both escape out of the map or to a dedicated location such as the parking lot used in this video. Now, here's the kicker. The hunters are not allowed to drive a supercar unless Alex choses to steal an ordinary supercar. Once Alex steals the target car, all hunters can go to their vehicle and drive that. This is the only supercar they may have. If their car was destroyed, they cannot change to a supercar, but every time a supercar is destroyed, Alex gives away his position. The hunters don't know if their car is dedicated to be stolen or if its the task master's location. They are also not allowed to camp near their car, but they are allowed to drive and patrol in that area.
Crashing aside, moving to the latest console version of GTA V was a really good change for these "Survive the hunt"-style videos. Looks much nicer and the increased traffic density and spawn variety over last-gen is really noticeable.
Awesome "Gone in 60 Minutes" video. Yeah, I know, it's supposed to be 48 minutes, but who gives a damn? Great action, great chases, fun moments of total hunter failure, fun moments of perfect hunter t-boning. Everything you'd ever want from a GTA5 video.
This was awesome. Alex needs to try this strategy in STH. Assassinate the hunters one by one at the beginning. Then after they're all dead go on a "Pri Explosion Parade" through the city 🤣
The ending to this one felt like a fitting tribute to the 2000 film - everything went wrong on the final car, had a massive chase, a shoot out, got everything back on track, had everything go wrong again, still managed to make the delivery.
Only things I'd change is hunters in cop cars like Castlebeck and the cars being older, like the Casco and Turismo Classic, to stay in line with the movie. Didn't think someone would want an XJ Cherokee badly enough they'd had someone knick it but hey, can't complain. Wasn't expecting the ending but even still, good show.
Great heist the end was so chaotic. I thought there was a rule that when the hunters were killed they were out? But impega and Dangerman were killed twice.
No rule was they can't guard cars. They become free range hunters. After the reset there were 2 cars left. Split up the forces 50/50. Guards on their cars and the others circling around looking for Alex.

Had to stop watching after 35 minutes - not because I didn’t like the video, I actually love these - but because of all the camera movements needed to complete the “missions”; it really messed with my motion sickness. Gave the video a big ol’ 👍🏼 anyway, and a thanks for the entertainment, guys!!
There is a link to the map in the description of the video. But you're right, non showed up in the video itself. Advanced of the link is that you can switch to it as you like and not have to rewind the video to have a look.
This just makes me want even more to see a survive the hunt where instead of blowing up as many prii as possible, Alex just has to kill as many hunters as possible. Like they're all trying to find and kill him as normal; but if he sees one and they don't see him, he just gets out of the car and rockets them.

MVP was the game crashing at 44 mins into the video - that led us to the very entertaining and epic last 10 mins.

I really enjoy this format because every car you steal adds another hunter and removes a target. It's like logarithmic difficulty bumps.

This was awesome. Alex needs to try this strategy in STH. Assassinate the hunters one by one at the beginning. Then after they're all dead go on a "Pri Explosion Parade" through the city 🤣
The ending to this one felt like a fitting tribute to the 2000 film - everything went wrong on the final car, had a massive chase, a shoot out, got everything back on track, had everything go wrong again, still managed to make the delivery.
best one yet, WITH a climactic ending! couldn't ask for a better ending!

Only things I'd change is hunters in cop cars like Castlebeck and the cars being older, like the Casco and Turismo Classic, to stay in line with the movie. Didn't think someone would want an XJ Cherokee badly enough they'd had someone knick it but hey, can't complain. Wasn't expecting the ending but even still, good show.

The last "five" minutes were great. A lot of action and very tense.
Great heist the end was so chaotic. I thought there was a rule that when the hunters were killed they were out? But impega and Dangerman were killed twice.
No rule was they can't guard cars. They become free range hunters. After the reset there were 2 cars left. Split up the forces 50/50. Guards on their cars and the others circling around looking for Alex.
if you were killed guarding a car you could come back afterwards

I noticed you killed impega at 51:11 AND 52:14. Was it legal for him to respawn as a shooter again?
This just makes me want even more to see a survive the hunt where instead of blowing up as many prii as possible, Alex just has to kill as many hunters as possible.
Like they're all trying to find and kill him as normal; but if he sees one and they don't see him, he just gets out of the car and rockets them.
