- Boy George, John Themis & Zee Asha live and acoustic present a beautiful concert for TV. I have very little information about this video, and what I do know about it has been questioned, so I present to you what I understand and ask for revisions / corrections / additions in the comments below.
When this was given to me, this is what I was told: It was supposed to be a full band performance, but travel issues apparently left the rest of the band stranded. But, the show must go on! I believe this to be the only time George has performed an entire acoustic set of this nature- nearly a full hour- and it's a shame he didn't do it more often.
UPDATE: Several people have mentioned it's Bulgaria, not Russia and I'm happy to change that and thank everyone who commented.
I was there. This concert was in Sunny Beach, Bulgaria in the summer of 94. He had been separated from the rest of his road crew. and they didn't arrive. He was excellent too

I wish whatever entity had the original master tape / audio tracks for this would let it out to be remastered. This is fantastic!! George’s version of Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door is perfect. Thank you so much Mr. David for posting this.

It took me a while to get used to him in make up then I started liking it. With barely any makeup he still looks very handsome. It's too bad I'm too young for the 80s. If I were at this show, I'd be 3 yrs old 🤣🤣
