Umunze is beautiful. See all the mansions, Hotels and beautiful hostel that have been built by the citizens. It is really amazing. Thanks for sharing Flo.
Flo i LOVE what you and your blood said Most people who live abroad doesn't have money compare to those living in Nigeria. Thanks a lot for this wonderful Videos no place like home, GOD bless you and your family.
It's the truth my brother. Abroad is where we come to hide. The amount of money my brothers-in-law spend attending funerals, weddings and financially supporting relatives as and when things happen will make some obodo oyibo people go bankrupt. Anything that happens in the village, they must attend and all these cost money. But abroadians are shielded from all these. Even when we send money, we will not contribute as much as the person that is there on ground. Living in Nigeria is just too expensive. So anybody that does well for him/herself against all odds should be hi-fived.
What’s absurd and very interesting equally is the lack of good roads, town planning, infrastructure to support the big, excessive houses and hotels. They’re developing the village from top-down. 😳😱
Well roads is for the government. I am from Cameroon. In certain neighborhoods, wealthy citizens offered to tar the roads and the Government refused. So you end up with big mansions and roads that have elephant holes
@@hazaelle5406 it’s as if it’s wrong to be wealthy. Government that refuses infrastructure development is unfit to govern. How can the economy grow when the government is made up of uneducated ‘opposite people’ 😡😱
Thank you for telling them biko, we come to Nigeria every single year and most of our friends in Canada think we must be out of our minds. Running away from the problem can't bring solution to it
I'm with you on that view... Why being so afraid? Most of the people back home are richer, here that people live from hand to mouth. You earn monthly and almost everything goes back to the system. You can hardly save. Abroadians are not major targets for kidnap because who will rescue them if kidnapped? Nowhere is 100% safe.
Nne eh! Sometimes I wonder if it's the same obodo oyibo that I am in that some people are in. They should come and show me the way o. Those in Nigeria make more expenses because they are closer home yet they have some change to invest. We pinch pennies abroad and at the end of the day, nothing yet some abroadians think they are richer. What am I missing?
Your right my sister abroad only hide you so people don't know how you are and that's why most of us is hiding in abroad, people in Nigeria are doing very well more than we living in abroad, we are hiding in abroad so that people don't see our ass because is empty
Thanks for this video, some people are in abroad killing themselves on 9 to 5 jobs. Just calculated that 80 rooms hostel, times N80,000 per annum that's N6.4mil on rent yearly. That's retirement money, why will I not retire from here and go back home.
Flo It’s good that many people have built mansions there,as east or west home is best, but infrastructural development, health development, education development,if all these is put in-order am sure most if not all people abroad will come back and invest home,if you have a chronic illness you need to be able to get treatment, all kids both in cities and rural areas need to get quality education because the government has the money to do that,we need minimum wage improved and job availability as for now don’t blame those abroad if they wish to remain there, but the truth has to be said in order to awaken a revolution and bring the government to order.NIGERIA IS A FAILED COUNTRY.That some individuals have built mansions in their home towns is for their own benefit.Show us the good roads with proper drainages, tap water that is drinkable from government, schools, playgrounds for public, good hospitals etc then only then can I say there is development.
So in that abroad you live in, it's individuals that build roads? The way some of you abroad people reason, eh? You don't even understand how the place you live in works. Nigerians will wait for government to build roads before building houses, abi? O di egwu really.
The owner of that las pinas hotel may be residing here in Philippines there is a city in Manila called las pinas and a lot of our men ji ego😁😁😁 even students too live here.
I don’t think it is just insecurity alone Aunty Flo. There are a combination of things that might make people afraid to go back home. Take for example my brother in law who is living with a long term condition in the UK gets his medications for free, he’s had two major operations done (kidney transplant) for free. I don’t think he would have had that in Nigeria. Basic facilities such as water, electricity, good road and drainage systems are non-existent. You can’t blame people for wanting a better life.
Does that long term condition prevent him from travelling home once or twice a year IF he wants to?? That's the topic of this video and not moving back to Nigeria.
"Basic facilities such as water, electricity, good road and drainage systems are non-existent" see how you are lying....non existent where? maybe in your area. We have all these and more every where i have lived in Nigeria. Abuja, Jos and ibadan
Lovely scenery, and you dropped nothing but facts! It’s the people that haven’t visited naija in 20 years that complain the most about kidnapping and the rest. I also the point you made about Nigeria having has less crime with less police monitoring. YOLO 🙌🏾
You wish? What are you waiting for?! Carry camera enter town Nne. I did a 2 part video of Nnewi last year but I do not know Nnewi well. Someone who knows it well can do a better job.
Flo you got me real hard,I wanted to sleep, hope I am not getting addicted to watching you, lol the truth is that I enjoy you alot, good vibes all the way, From USA.
Hahaha...🤣🤣🤣 Laughing when you said the Church building is painted every year but that's a good thing naaah, shows they are neat. They should add the fence sef for the painting yearly.😁🙏🏾 Meanwhile, my Village now has a brand new Federal Government University oh. Seeing these hostels and hotels in Umunze is giving me good-good 💰 ideas. Let me go and hustle oh. Retirement property planning in progress. 💯% The thing will make sense well-well I tell you. Thanks Aunty Flo for always being real. 😉😎👍🏾😜 YOLO. Merry Christmas and A Happy Prosperous New Year to all of us, your Subscribers and Family!
Those abroad are not afraid. They afraid of beg beg people. Those average ones does not beg the ones in Nigeria. But they beg the ones abroad. They see them as a target and that becomes a problem. Take airport for example, their beg beg is too much. By the time you start giving the money will finish. Plus they will see that you are abroad and they will bump the price of anything they are selling. I think those abroad should learn to start saying no, I don’t have or giving money when someone beg them for money. I agree with you, those in Nigeria are ok.
😂🤣😂🤣 This is the funniest thing I've ever read on this topic. So wait, you really, REALLY want to travel to Nigeria BUT you stay away because of beggy beggy people??? You lock yourself up "in the abroad" and throw away the key because people will beg you for money? How much will you even give away as goodwill that you are running from? Mehn you are sooo funny. Even those who use kidnappers as excuse have a better reason. 😂🤣😂
Flo Chinyere lol, I don’t think you read or understood what I wrote. Those abroad are seen as people who don’t know nigeria or mumu or easy people to dupe just the same way they see white people as a target to dupe. Try to understand ones point of view. Nigeria is good but targeting a particular set of people is bad
@@MsJNCOE you've switched from beggy beggy people back to kidnappers? Very entertaining. 😂 You don't have 500 to 1000 dollars to set aside for goodwill giveaways yet you believe you are a target? Bros, it's all in your head. And I'm serious.
Flo Chinyere no I did not switch, and I did not say kidnapping. I can see you are not reading before writing. You read one thing and see something else. I am still saying the same thing. Reply back when you have read my comment. Did you say $500 to $1000 to give away Seriously, now you are the one sending confused messages. You are telling people to come home and give away the money they don’t have. I thought your message is for people to come home and be free and not be portrait as a target for one to make money from. Are you seriously the one talking or someone is typing for you?
Mansion for who, hotels for who and schools for who? Are they public schools or private schools that ordinary citizens can't send their children to? When talking of developments this should show in lives of the citizens not just the few. If it does not, then that's not development. Development should not be about oppressing others but uplifting others.
My guy stop hating, so people should stop building because of your opinion. Don't be intimidated. Soon your village will catch up. Until then manage Lagos
Agreed! Beautiful village though! The irony of our beautiful Naija is that I will find beautiful mansions on untarred roads, and yes only the 0.1% enjoy these luxuries
How many people have you uplifted in your village, those are individuals that work hard for their money, now in your own argument, anybody that built a house in s/he village should be blamed for the failure of the government but if you build in Lagos is ok, so that tomorrow you can use a bulldozer to pull it down or use a frivolous court order to take it away from them,, like Kanu Nwakwo hotel that was taken away from him! this is an ancestral home where progenitors lived hundreds or even thousands of years back and in years to come after you might have gone your descendant will look back and say their great grandfather built this house one hundred and fifty years ago or more, in Europe, you can find many houses built more than one thousand years ago and when they were built there was no tarred road but today everywhere is tarred, in natural development, the houses or development comes first before tarred roads, the government don't just build roads but build according to expansion unless you are building an estate, ask any American that is up to 70 years old and you will discover that many American town arent tarred then but houses are everywhere, the true is that i sense envy here cus these people arent even in government but traders that has went through many hurdles, can you tell us what ou have done on your own part?
Anambra is booming and growing in leaps and bounds. The next governor has to prioritize massive road construction and property tax. He has his work cut out for him, from onitsha to Nnewi to Awka to Ekwulobia to Umunze to Oko to Ihiala to Oba to Aguleri to umuchukwu. It's all growth upon growth from one place to the other. #IGBOAMAKA #IGBOBUOFU
Gbam! If we get Soludo, he will hopefully bring his economics and financial expertise to making the state the internal revenue generation capital of Nigeria.
@@FloChinyere I'm also rooting for him. Our people are willing to pay taxes as long as you show them a roadmap and make them realize that our roads will be dualized, water, sanitation, schools, better markets, agriculture etc will be improved upon. The next governor cannot afford to sleep on his job. We are in a hurry to develop further. Enjoy d Uguru and precious time at home.
Ejiho Igbo agwa ya onye ocha. Any politician that knows his Anambra Politics 101 knows that we don't play. The person will be kicked out faster than he can say "Vote for Me" if he/she does not perform. We did it in the early days of recent democracy (with Mbadinuju) not to talk of in 2021. The bar is too high now. Our people EVEN pay taxes when they do not see the results not to talk of when they see it. Some will take their tithes to the government if they dare see these kinds of extra dividends of democracy. Just look at the market in my previous video, those sellers pay levies every single day, from those that have stalls to those that only need a space to keep their tray yet that market is not paved, they can't even sweep it, yet these traders pay everyday. Soludo had better not even try to disappoint if he wins because I expect much more from him than I did of Peter Obi.
@@FloChinyere why are you campning for soludo why not maduka that have already showcased his capacity at umuchukwu he single handedly developed umuchukwu that was known as bush area to a town i think he will do better if giving the mandate what did soludo do to his isuofia town when he held the reign of power? nothing
@@ahmedalabdullah6870 I'm not campaigning for anybody. They will have to pay me to do that in the way you are insinuating. 😂 I am a citizen of Anambra State and I believe I have the right to choose who I want to lead us without it being tagged as a campaign for the person. Just like I recruit people for jobs based on their experience, I would like to recruit Soludo based solely on his track record. That Nigerian banks are strong today and stand side by side with their western counterparts is because of Soludo. I know other levels he wanted to take the Nigerian financial sector to before they struck him down. It's high time we let economists rule this country. I do not know much about Maduka but constructing a few buildings for your hometown only proves you have money, it is no proof that you can build a state economically. He may turn out to be a great governor but I'm going with experience rather than hope. What did you expect Soludo to do for his community while he was CBN governor? You expected him to mint money and use it to build his town? Or to do that with his CBN governor's salary? You are part of the problem.
The only thing I don’t like is the inability for families/communities to come together and pave the side roads within the village, do some landscaping, and make the place look tidy. Igbo villages will slowly turn into suburbs as you see in the developed world. What use is having a big beautiful mansion with a dirt road and an ugly environment surrounding it? It cheapens the appeal. All these millionaires and such are equal to the task. DETAIL, DETAIL, DETAIL!

Lovely drive, beautiful village feel.Walking would have been better just to soak in the feel, atmosphere and beauty......Well,it's nice to know these bad guys are not looking to kidnap everyone from abroad!!! I think there are a lot of variables when it comes to these two groups of nigerians though, some might be subconscious, not necessarily planned everyday but something they've adjusted themselves to.The rich guys back home would understand the country and how to maneuver themselves compare to diaspora etc...At the end of the day it's home and we must find a lasting solution to this inconveniences somehow.Thank you.
There's nothing to manoeuvre really. The sure banker manoeuvre would be to stay away from the village entirely but these billionaires come home almost every weekend and attend public functions, they don't hide. Nobody is after anybody in the way some people overthink it. Bad things happen but some people see themselves as too special, that everybody is after them. A lot of people don't care about who is back and who is not. Some people have stayed away for too long that fear creeps in. I guess if people go home often, they will see the country for how it really is, not the way it's portrayed on social media.
Anambra people are constantly building HOTELS AND HOTELS but NO HOSPITAL S OR CLINICS to heal her indigenes. How about green energy for the villages..just saying
I don't know which state you are from but I tell you for free that Anambra has ENOUGH government hospitals. I received the best physiotherapy treatment much better than what I got in Spain in a government hospital in my hometown. I have a video on that. My grandma is currently in a coma and receiving the BEST care and treatment in the same hospital, I have a video on that coming up. See eh, if you don't come home often, stay away from these kinds of discussions because those of us who know what's on ground read your uninformed comments on these issues and just shake our damn heads. That said, let me educate you that it's not the job of individuals to build hospitals. A hospital by an individual is an investment. And you can't tell people where to invest their money. A hostel is a smart investment in this village because there's a need for it and it does not require much logistics to run a hostel.
I think Nigerians are trustworthy but our govt is not. Too many roads are terrible with little to no emergency services. Too much headache for daily life but fun to visit.
Nice pic. My sister is a lecturer at Umunze fed technical. I visited her the last time I came home in 2018. Nigeria is a blessed country esp igboland but we are cursed . The only thing the igbo’s care about is money. We worship money . After living in US for 30 years ,I don’t think I wanna come back to Nigeria to live. I don’t understand why some one we build mansions everywhere while his kinsman barely have food on the table. Massive unemployment everywhere, why not use that money to build industries and companies that can employ our youths. Pitiful ,no sense of direction.
You are the only one that is cursed. You shamelessly stated here that you have been away for 30 years yet you are criticizing others for what they do with their money back home. At least the building materials they bought for the constructions, the workmen they employed have contributed to Nigerian economy. You, what have you done for your "beloved" relatives? I am sure you do not recognize any of them not to talk of helping them. Ezigbo mmadu ka chinchi.
Flo please have u ever use app to book air tickets without going to agency, what is the implications at the airport? please let me know I want to book airline with Brussels Airlines I don't want to buy from agency I want to buy from my phone with Brussels Airlines app
@@Grace-fd2rw thanks my dear I am booking from Europe not from Nigeria, because I have never book tickets with phone app I always book from agent, but people say booking from phone app is cheaper and no problem at the airport that's only what I want to confirm, I don't want that day they will tell me my ticket is not confirmed by the airline
No implications, it's the same thing you are doing that a travel agent will do for you. I hardly use travel agents because when anything happens with the flight you will be sent back to the agent unlike when you book directly with the airline. Sometimes you get cheaper flights with agents because they are allotted a certain number of seats by airlines but because of the issues stated above, I prefer to deal directly with airlines where possible. Just make sure you downloaded the correct app of the airline before giving away your card/bank info. Then follow the instructions on the screen diligently making sure your travel dates are correct. That's all.
Yes o! They need to chop. You can do it but like I said, look at the dates well, the itinerary of the flight too. If you will be on transit, check and make sure that the airport you will land in is the same airport your second flight will take off from. For instance this happens with flights whose transit is in Paris. Some trajectories will have you landing in Charles de Gaulle and taking off in Orly Airport. If you do not look well, you,'ll book it and then you will have to pick your bags in CDG and travel all the way to Orly to catch your next flight. Also transits in London (Heathrow, Gatwick). So please peel your eyes especially since it is your first time making a booking yourself. Good luck.
Sis flo I really like you but today i just want to remind you that this ya channel not only for my Igbo people ooooo we the Hausa's theyhere too oooo.✍🥰🙏
I love your videos and no place like home. But if Nigerian's in Nigeria are doing so well. Why is Nigeria the poverty capital of the world and millions hoping to escape to abroad? Can you discuss this topic in your future videos please.
The assumption is that kidnappers target the those living in abroad. The kidnappers think that the abroad based have money because of foreign money. But opposite is the case. Besides, anyone who has a good job or business in Nigeria have no intention of of traveling abroad. It's mostly desperate people go abroad because at least, you'll find a job there no matter how small but the bad thing is that you'll spend the whole money paying rents and bills.
Sometimes I wonder where they even get these assumptions from. The only times I have heard of abroadians being kidnapped, it's always by their relatives. So those ones are inside jobs. When Evans' case was in the news, how many abroadians were his victims? None. Did you see the amount of money he was asking from his victims? How many abroadians can provide such amount of money? These assumptions are laughable for real.
Balanced thoughts Okeygod will have security around him 24/7. Most people can't afford that and don't even want that lifestyle. Okeygod is a building, the individual 's' behind it could be chilling in Mexico. Even in the bible it says am a richer man because of my country. I might be able to build a structure in the village, to make it liveable there has to be no sense of insecurity. My children need to be able to walk on the street.
This is exactly what we are saying in the video, at the end of the day you people will believe what you want to believe. The people that are in the village are telling you that the man lives in Lagos you are here saying that he may be chilling in Mexico. Believe what you want to believe, nobody is forcing you to come home. This video is for those who really REALLY want to come but are afraid based on what they see online, not for those that have already signed papers to die and be buried in obodo oyibo. All choices are valid so no need to make up stories just to support your own choice.
@@FloChinyere ' The people in the video, is the same source of information they said he 'busted tomb of money ' for his wealth. I'd rather believe what I want to believe . You inspiring people to come back home, it's a beautiful thing. I believe the level of insecurity is way too high for my comfort and stress free life. To visit , yes, to live there ...don't think so.
Nowhere in this video did we tell you to come and live in Nigeria,. We repeated this so many times: visit, visit visit, if you WANT to visit. Some people have stayed away for 10, 20, 30 years because of this fear. So what would they have done if they did not find themselves abroad? I even made a video where I said that with the way things are now in Nigeria, I cannot live in Nigeria because I can't afford to live in Nigeria. I need to be a billionaire to afford the simple lifestyle I live abroad. I know how much I pay for electricity to have 24/7 light abroad, that amount X 5 cannot get me 24/7 light in Nigeria. The school my kids go to for free, I will have to pay almost 1 Million Naira per term for them to get the same quality of education in Nigeria. This is why I will keep saying that the person you see as average in Nigeria is much richer than all the abroad people. If you come to Nigeria often you will begin to understand that security is the least of your worries. The cost of living is damn too high. I don't know what you are trying to get at by the buster of tomb of money statement but that simply means he has too much money. And too much money does not hide. You can be referred to as a buster of tomb of money by simply being an importer. Just discover a unique product, reach an agreement with the foreign manufacturers to stamp your name on it and you will be the sole importer of that product in Nigeria and they won't sell it to any other person. They will tell anybody that wants the product to go to you if they need that product so such businessmen can sell the product at any price they want. Even in Spain there are certain wines you will want to import into Nigeria, the winery will tell you they are already in agreement with an importer in Nigeria so if you need that one, you will need to go to that importer in Nigeria. And neither will they make the same wine recipe for you and put another name on it. Other tribes who are into oil equipment supplies do the same thing just that they do not make as much noise as Igbo business men. The same thing happens online outside Nigeria (eg Amazon FBA). That's how to mint money within and outside Nigeria and become an ozowalu ili ego. Lots of people make genuine money in Nigeria, you just need the business knowledge to do that. Just like in everything, some people will be better than others in doing the same thing hence make more money.
@@FloChinyere I must commend the time you took to respond back, admirable. I get the joke of 'Buster of tomb of money', was linking it back to the 'Mexico ' statement I made, information in Nigeria is highly verifiable.

Flo Chinyere yes most people in Nigeria have more money than the ones abroad but they are still seen as target. This is a generalised fear not me.
I really enjoy your videos, thanks for sharing
Thanks for sharing. I miss home.
pls be putting Nigeria in the title..makes it easy for people to find..some people will not know where the village is
Mansion for who, hotels for who and schools for who? Are they public schools or private schools that ordinary citizens can't send their children to? When talking of developments this should show in lives of the citizens not just the few. If it does not, then that's not development. Development should not be about oppressing others but uplifting others.
I agree with you 100%
My guy stop hating, so people should stop building because of your opinion. Don't be intimidated. Soon your village will catch up. Until then manage Lagos
Agreed! Beautiful village though! The irony of our beautiful Naija is that I will find beautiful mansions on untarred roads, and yes only the 0.1% enjoy these luxuries
Oga i bet ur village isnt as dope as this
How many people have you uplifted in your village, those are individuals that work hard for their money, now in your own argument, anybody that built a house in s/he village should be blamed for the failure of the government but if you build in Lagos is ok, so that tomorrow you can use a bulldozer to pull it down or use a frivolous court order to take it away from them,, like Kanu Nwakwo hotel that was taken away from him! this is an ancestral home where progenitors lived hundreds or even thousands of years back and in years to come after you might have gone your descendant will look back and say their great grandfather built this house one hundred and fifty years ago or more, in Europe, you can find many houses built more than one thousand years ago and when they were built there was no tarred road but today everywhere is tarred, in natural development, the houses or development comes first before tarred roads, the government don't just build roads but build according to expansion unless you are building an estate, ask any American that is up to 70 years old and you will discover that many American town arent tarred then but houses are everywhere, the true is that i sense envy here cus these people arent even in government but traders that has went through many hurdles, can you tell us what ou have done on your own part?
Anambra is booming and growing in leaps and bounds. The next governor has to prioritize massive road construction and property tax. He has his work cut out for him, from onitsha to Nnewi to Awka to Ekwulobia to Umunze to Oko to Ihiala to Oba to Aguleri to umuchukwu. It's all growth upon growth from one place to the other.

You are part of the problem.
try to enter Eziagu next time.

@@FloChinyere Right!!thank you for the explanation..
I watched and showed this to my hubby who is afraid of coming back 🤣
Anambra people are constantly building HOTELS AND HOTELS but NO HOSPITAL S OR CLINICS to heal her indigenes.

@@Grace-fd2rw thanks dear I will try it now with Brussels Airlines
That's all.
@@FloChinyere thanks will do that now agent Don shop me tiyer see tickets agent tell me 587€ am seeing it 460€ chineke nnam
Good luck.

I love this Video!!!!
