I had an aunt and uncle in Silver Spring MD. My Dad used to drive me and my sister to their home to visit. I remember when I was 6 years old Dad took us to Arlington Cemetery. He was a Army vet from WWII. We actually met President Eisenhower as he was visiting too. We stood back but I left Dad’s side and went up to President Eisenhower and offered him a lollipop. He bent down and politely took it. My father apologized but Ike laughed and shook our hands. My Dad told him he was a veteran, was in Normandy and saluted Ike while in civvies and Ike saluted him back. My Dad was in seventh heaven. I have two pics of that moment in time. There were no tons of security back then.

I for one love living in DC. It was pretty bleak while there was a snow and ice storm will give you that. But on a normal day there are tons of people walking around and it is lively considering social distancing requirements. I have never seen so many people run outside until I moved here! So much outdoor activity.

I for one love living in DC. It was pretty bleak while there was a snow and ice storm will give you that. But on a normal day there are tons of people walking around and it is lively considering social distancing requirements. I have never seen so many people run outside until I moved here! So much outdoor activity.

I’ve lived here my whole life, I have a picture of me going into the White House in Spring of 2001 for the Easter egg roll, A picture of myself next to the black fence on the south lawn while Obama was president, and a picture of myself next to the fence that Trump put up this spring. Many DC residents are sad that our lives are being so negatively affected by this. That’s why it’s so nice to see the fencing coming down.
