bryokyo Say Bryokyo, I'd like to know who was the returning champion for this episode and who of these 3 players(including your dad) won this main game overall and based on the bonus prizes, I believe this was from the week of March 1-5, 1993. Correct me if I'm wrong but the week of March 1-5, 1993 week of episodes was when your dad was on.
IvoryM1986 haha, I'm not too sure when it is, but you seem like a very devoted player if you guessed that correctly! One things for sure, and that's that I know my dad got last place xD haha
@@HarrisonPeloso How sad does your life have to be that you reply to a three-year-old comment just to call someone an insult that you'd hear on the elementary school playground?
I say no. The only way he could have cheated would be if he actually touched the wheel. Not only that, but the wheel is a separate part from the scoreboard. Plus, the wheel is suspended off the ground slightly on some type of pendulum, allowing it to be spun. The force of hitting his fist on the top of the scoreboard would have to be strong enough to either shake the floor or move the whole scoreboard podium to the point where it hits the wheel base (keep in mind, there's 3 other people already standing on it). Besides, if this was enough to cause it to flip, you would see a lot more of this from people jumping up and down. But you don't.
Omega, there is no way something as small as a fist could create "pressures waves" with enough force to move the wheel with resistance of the peg thing.
cheating is when somebody does an unfair advantage but if the advantage was never said in the rules its not cheating unless its like changing the rules of the game or something like that
GMA did a game show behind the scenes thing and the reporter doing the story mention how heavy the wheel was when she tried to spin it herself so based on that. I have a difficult time believing he moved the wheel by pounding on the table. I didn't think he really hit it that hard either. But I'm not willing to discount the possibility either. Somehow that very last golf shot at the end of Caddyshack comes to mind with the ball teetering on the edge of the cup.
Given the circumstances, I'd say he didn't cheat. By definition, to cheat is to "act dishonestly or unfairly in order to gain an advantage, especially in a game or examination." He wasn't being dishonest. He wasn't being unfair, as that would have had to be intentional. If the producers wanted, they could have just said to move it back to the 550 wedge. But in the end, even if he did it intentionally, since he didn't end up solving the puzzle anyway, it didn't really affect the game.
Magic Class He was lucky that the peg moved. He did not cheat because he did not physically move the wheel. It just happened that it was close enough to move and when he hit the table, it moved.
Absolutely no cheating has gone on here. That fuckin needle was beyond the border pin. Even if it didn't pop into place I would have still considered it to have been in the "Surprise' slot.
there is, In the backstage of every tv show, a bailiff. He gives decisions in case of doubt. If they accepted this, then, you're father's not a cheater ! Sorry if my english is bad (French mate ;) )
I'd say no, he didn't cheat. The host clearly saw it happen, along with the judges and they let it slide. It doesn't matter anyway because he failed to be the one to solve the puzzle and as such, lost the surprise.
He was just frustrated that it missed the "Surprise" space by a fraction and expressed it by pounding the table. He can't help it that it made the wheel go on to the surprise.
The flipper was on $550 when the wheel stopped, so I was surprised they let him pick up the Surprise. The irony is he landed on the same spot the very next spin.
Tizzy Allan Yes, but you aren’t under hot lights and intense pressure to solve a puzzle and try to win money... Check out the video on the “Clam Digger” answer! There’s no way the guy wasn’t in a state of shock and too frozen to think

That is a tough call. I don't think he intended to move the peg on the wheel if that's the case. He just got frustrated and it happened to move the peg over. Honestly, they shouldn't have given him the SURPRISE. But that was more of the fault of Pat and/or the judges. They should have just went with the $500, or was it $900? I'm too lazy to play back, but you know what I mean. But since he didn't solve the puzzle in that round, it's really not an issue anyway. It's convenient when errors like these don't affect the game's outcome.
Haha, at first I thought there was some mini-scandal and dude was trying to exonerate his dad, but actually clearly just trying to give the old man a hard time. Well played.

the wheel is an independant movable structure from the platform where the contestants are. It would be almost impossible for vibration. the only time he touches the wheel is to initiate the spin. If he was bent over the wheel at the time someone from the audeince, other contestants or the production people would have seen it. The last thing any game show needs is a cheating scandal. Pat has nothing to do with a decision. There are people offstage that would make that decision and signal Pat. Have you ever heard of that?
OMEGA ARCHER FILES Would the argument change if I say my dad was a very strong body builder?? ...because he wasn't...
I can see how they though he was cheating, but it's their fault for having such a sensitive wheel.
Broth same
What do you expect from old mechanics back in a day ?
Tenichly the prize should have been his from the get go. It was clearly a inch from going in the wedge
The wheel weighs 2400 pounds so he must have a really strong arm
Nice double entendre
Doesn't matter cuz he lost

Me too thanks.

I think it was completely accidental.
Not really, he hit the table in slight rage and accidently moved the peg.
GMA did a game show behind the scenes thing and the reporter doing the story mention how heavy the wheel was when she tried to spin it herself so based on that. Eric Maltbia did you check for his smirking expression?
Eric Maltbia yeah but there’s actually no “evidence” at all. A hunch isn’t “evidence” of cheating
Well, let's put it this way:
Are you allowed to hit the table in rage while playing Jenga?
yes because if you're hitting the table in rage, it's probably because you already knocked the tower down
XD OMFG
Noobbrosif well put
258th Hi Guy Yeah, totally the same thing. You fucking idiot
Yes, If you want to destroy the jenga tower
That was your dad? I thought it was my dad? Are we brothers?
... "as a matter of fact" it was the kids mother he cheated on all those years ago

I'm sorta surprised they did not go back to $550 honestly.
he coudn't guess "mothers day gift" with 3 letters left but could get "as a matter of fact" with almost nothing???
what the actual fuck?????
He did not cheat, just got very lucky.
RockyRoad88 Lucky how? Did you watch the video? Stop please I beg
Magic Class He was lucky that the peg moved. He did not cheat because he did not physically move the wheel. It just happened that it was close enough to move and when he hit the table, it moved.
Not cheating freak accident. The host decided he would let it slide.
not necessarily. after all Pat DID check with the production staff and THEY allowed it.
no, sajack went to the judges on it. The hit was out of frustration without thinking about the wheel.
Agreed
I hope I can afford to get my mom a nice Mother's Day Lift this year.
Or any woman that matter 😁if you know what i mean?!
Completely unintentional! Your dad is off the hook. Plus, since the producer made the call, he's fine.
I hope you bug him every Mother's day about gifts.

It’s actually 92
@@MorganNye - this. If it was the syndicated version’s 10th anniversary, it would be the 1991-92 season (season 11)

The wheel weighs 2000 pounds, it needs even more force than that in order for the peg to be far enough from the pointer.

Look how easy it is to put text over a game show recording, claiming a contestant is a relative.
he's not a cheater, he may have gotten mad that he didn't hit the surprise so he banged his fist
