Sadly this happens all the time in the US, especially if you're of Asian origin. Crimes against Asian people since the pandemic is very alarming, regardless if you're an American citizen or just visiting the country you need to be extra careful because anytime you can get attacked physically or fall victim to Asian hate related crimes.
Philadelphia is crime-infested city, one of the cities in the US. Lots of Asians in our community in a predominantly Caucasian county in California and you won’t find anyone being a victim of hate crimes. Only in a big cities will you find the hate crimes, mostly SF and Los Angeles.

Choose a state that has the lowest crime rate. It's pretty much the same in the Philippines, there are places that has higher crime rates than other cities. I haven't experienced any form of racial hatred when I was staying on the US. I don't know, maybe it's just me and majority of the people I've known and be friends with. But yeah, just choose the correct state to me designated in. I stayed in Texas btw. And this is just my opinion. My aunt is a nurse on Texas as well and my whole family that is living all throughout America hasn't experienced any hate crimes nor any racism.

Choose a state that has the lowest crime rate. It's pretty much the same in the Philippines, there are places that has higher crime rates than other cities. I haven't experienced any form of racial hatred when I was staying on the US. I don't know, maybe it's just me and majority of the people I've known and be friends with. But yeah, just choose the correct state to me designated in. I stayed in Texas btw. And this is just my opinion. My aunt is a nurse on Texas as well and my whole family that is living all throughout America hasn't experienced any hate crimes nor any racism.

This is a strange incident; random shooting doesn't happen daily in America, especially in an uber car. Hate crimes against Asian are real but primarily arbitrary and low level, not like shooting an uber running vehicle. Could it be a targeted hit?
