My favourite party game is one me and my bandmates invented called Illuminati. You set up a deck of cards in the shape of the all seeing eye with 2 outer layers to form the shape of a triangle and finally the rest of the cards in the middle of the outer layers for the "eye". Players then take it in turns choosing cards at random but before they can flip the card over they have to declare wether that card is Red or Black. Get it right and whatever the numerical value of that card is, the player gets to nominate another player for that amount of drinks/sips. However get it wrong and you have to do those drinks. For example you flip a card over and you declare it's black before flipping and congrats, it's the Jack of clubs meaning you get to nominate someone to take 11 sips of their drink and because you got it right you gain a card from the middle to be used on the board for future nominations if you see the matching number card on the board. It's a great ice breaker and allows people to settle into the party atmosphere and we used it many times as a pre drinking game before nights out. Additional rules include Pull an ace, nominate a shot If a Joker gets flipped the whole group takes 5 sips and the player that flipped the Joker has to move on to another card and bet wether the next card is Red or Black get it right the numerical value doubles for the player to nominate with but get it wrong the player must down their drink. Really funny when this happens at the start of a game. The game ends when all outer cards have been flipped. The loser is the person who had to drink the most and the winner is the person who made the most correct amount of guesses. Finally cards the players have won the number value is halved and at the end it's a free for all nomination spree as this is the perfect time to exact revenge on players who nominated you in previous rounds. I enjoy party games as ice breakers for home and work stuff. It feels nice not to play heavy and thought intense game and have a drink. My favorite party game is telestration.
I played "Joking Hazard" from Cyanide and Happiness last year from my own card decks and I loved it. It was my first time and I intend to bring it to every party now in case anyone wants to play

As I said on the last video, my current favorites are a pair of newer card games called 5-Minute Dungeon and its spinoff that just released its first Kickstarter batch this past month, 5-Minute Mystery. Both are fast (look at the titles), comedic, amazingly drawn games where everyone wins or loses together. Go get them!
Saying that Codenames requires an EVEN number of people is such an odd point of contention. The best thing about it is that people can drop out or in for a round or two with no big change to anything. Minimum four is really only the requirement.

Cards against humanity is a game you need to know who youre playing with to know that we're all laughing about how horrible some of the answers are. I also like to talk about what people are uncomfrtable with so those kinds of cards wont be played, and allow players to swap cards they are uncomfortable playing.
There are games out there you can learn in minutes. Literally. I've done it (had a side-hustle demoing games for a couple of years). What sort of games do your family like?
I think tryna explain cards against humanity like a proper board game is missing the point. It’s not supposed to be skilful or challenging. It’s just supposed to be a bunch of fun and Leigh’s with drunk mates.
At a point when we are not able to throw parties, maybe move to board games that don’t need very many people to get more engagement. Its like coming up with a list of 10 things to do at wrestlemania fan access right now, I mean sure it’s a fine video, but is it the time right now? I want the channel to succeed, good luck
Party games are used as an introduction to board games for a lot of people so starting a channel with a video on them seems like a decent idea to me. This video will still be here for people to see after the pandemic is over.
