Mayor of Las Vegas: laughs maniacally while talking about using the citizens as a control group Gov. of Nevada: tears up while talking about the victims of the pandemic and wants to prevent any more losses These responses could not have been any more different from each other and say a lot about their individual characters.
Very true. Thats why Nevada needs a leader, not a crybaby pussy like Steve. He is a disaster for Nevada. All the Mayor is saying is to let the people choose and not tyranny rule.
The mayor was talking about human lives like a monopoly game and the Governor spoke of the people like we were his immediate family .... It's was like God and Satan total opposite opinions I really respect the Governor for caring for the people God bless everyone and please be safe ...

What one meant for harm, God can turn it for our good somehow. I hope the people of Vegas are protected despite the poor choices of their mayor. Stay safe and God bless us all.
This guy doesn't understand that many businesses will never recover from this unwarranted shutdown. As for deaths the number of fatalities seem to be in only a few states, mostly southern New York and New Jersey. South Dakota didn't shut down at all and they had precious few deaths. We need to get back to normal.
Yeah, we are in Las Vegas forced out of work with no unemployment and his union projects he was lobbyd for continue. So much for covid19 concerns that his sponsored projects are getting built as "essential". Yeah, very trustworthy...fkkn fake crying on CNN. We cant even collect unemployment because his system has failed for wks now. We are going to lose everything over this
Makes me think of how the Republican governor of Michigan appointed someone to "govern" the city of Flint, thereby ignoring the votes of the majority of citizens of Flint when they chose their own leaders. And what followed was the Flint water crisis, which the Republicans have still not resolved. This is one instance where what's good for the goose is good for the gander. Maybe this Democratic governor should appoint someone to lead Las Vegas since their current mayor is truly incompetent. The difference is that a Republican appointing a leader for Flint actually ended up endangering the health of its citizens by having them drink lead infused water. But if this Democratic mayor would replace this insane woman, he would likely be saving thousands of lives, both in Las Vegas and around the world (since the city attracts visitors from all over the world.
Patricia Williams Because her husband was the mayor of Las Vegas before her and Las Vegas felt she would do the same things he did... it takes times like these for people to show who they are...
Honestly, it was name recognition. Her husband, Oscar Goodman was a good representative for Vegas. He did a lot for the city. People hoped she would be a lot like him. She wasn't. His wife kinda sucks.
Karl K what did he misstated? Her dumbass said she wanted to open casinos without NO plan on how to keep people safe and say it’s up to the businesses, and mentioned a control group. He repeated EVERYTHING she said, and explained it’s NOT a great idea
Her “People” are the ones losing everything they have, and begging her to do something... unfortunately there’s nothing she can do, and probably very few people would “head to Vegas!” even if it was reopened.

This data breach occurred when the office sent out a CD with this information to 12 organizations that purchase monthly voter lists from the office. The office was not aware of the breach until the following month and did not publicly acknowledge the mishap until the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported the class action lawsuit against the office as a result of the data breach.[23] Within a month of the breach becoming publicly known, it had cost taxpayers $1.2 million in credit monitoring services for those whose data had been compromised, and $395,000 for an audit into Kemp's handling of the unauthorized data disclosure.[24] Kemp drew criticism again in 2017 when it was revealed that a flaw in the State voting system exposed the personal information of all of Georgia's 6.7 million voters, as well as passwords used by county election officials to access voter files, and went unfixed for 6 months after it was reported.[25][26] After a lawsuit was filed, a server at the center of the controversy was wiped, preventing officials from determining the scope of the breach.[27] Kemp denied responsibility, instead saying researchers at Kennesaw State University, who managed the system, had acted "in accordance with standard IT procedures" in deleting the data.[28] " ...from Wikipedia

@SpectroMan Your statistics are completely false regarding death rates and make no sense. The curve has been flattened, a large percentage of the population has been infected so it is a much smaller percentage that remains. Hospitals will not be impacted to the same degree. You do not seem to understand statistics, the nature of epidemics, or economics. #Walkaway.
@Corona Pyrrhus utter fucking bullshit. And that's coming from someone in Germany. We're 5th place in active cases, the entire country is locked down and 300.000+ tests are being done per week. It's not even proven that you're immune once you had it and even if you'd be immune you can still spread it by touch. Angela Merkel put it into perspective: for us to stay below the capacity limit of our healthcare system we need to keep the rate of infection per person to >1. If that number rises to 1.1 we reach that capacity limit in September, if it's 1.3 (1 out of 5 infects 2, the rest one per person) we're looking at July. That's why people need to stay at home. If you decide to go for the heard immunity approach by simply reopening the economy here are the issues: 1. It's completely uncontrollable, you won't be able to keep up with tests, the unknown infections will skyrocket. 2. You'll exceed the capacity of your healthcare system rapidly. Not just for Covid patients, there are people that need ICU beds due to accidents or other sicknesses, these people suffer too and won't be part of the Covid statistic. 3. With so many people dying you'll hurt your economy's productivity immensely, because you're not just loosing elderly but capable workers as well - especially with a strained healthcare system. 4. As I said before: even of you're immune you can still spread it. It is not proven that you'll stay immune. you might be for a couple of weeks but there have been cases of reinfections (see south Korea). Germany has cancelled its Octoberfest, that might give you a hint on how serious it's being taken. Most importantly you need a nationwide approach, with people going across states that patchwork approach is making things much more complicated. We had that too, now there are nationwide laws (they still differ in parts though). It's definitely not overhyped. The United States has double the amount of deaths per 1m people and half the number of tests per 1m people. I know the US system makes it more difficult, but this is how it is. It's extreme. Germany will require masks in public now and a few shops can reopen with massive regulations. Simply "reopening the economy" will end in chaos

Of course in ironic TW style, he finds out that while in the coma, a virus occurred which is making it impossible for him to see his wife again or maybe everyone he knew was wiped out by it and he's the sole survivor. I wonder what kind of episodes Rod Serling would have come up with if he was still alive now? Did Black Mirror predict the virus too? My mind wonders off somewhere..... pretty shiny things
@@jctoad No problem: He was at a veterans hospital where old vets get their medical care and one had come out of a coma recently while he was there. The mayor of Vegas and her father before her are nutty people who have really extreme and non-sensible republican views who run as independents to win the election because vegas usually votes blue and they would lose as republicans. @Jorge Mejia Yes he and McConnell and the others do not have an ounce of it in their bodies. I actually have a republican mayor who I voted for and know personally to be a good man but we are a very small town where most people know each other and care for each other. Mitch and the RNC haven't bothered to slither their corrupting tentacles here yet because it is not a big city or town. Many of the principles and beliefs of the RNC are inherently against kindness and caring for your fellow man and they have a mentality that everyone is out to ratfuck everyone else so they cannot comprehend that there are those who actually do have good intentions and kindness in their hearts. Most state and essentially all federal level republicans have a "fuck you I've got mine" attitude that is horrible for the people being governed by them. Just look at the poorest and most backwards states and counties and you'll see who runs them.Even the homeless they like to rave about in places like California have almost all migrated from their red states where there are no social services.

This is one instance where what's good for the goose is good for the gander. Maybe this Democratic governor should appoint someone to lead Las Vegas since their current mayor is truly incompetent. "In October 2015, the Georgia Secretary of State's office, under Kemp's leadership, erroneously distributed personal data (including Social Security numbers and dates of birth) of 6.2 million registered Georgia voters. This data breach occurred when the office sent out a CD with this information to 12 organizations that purchase monthly voter lists from the office. The office was not aware of the breach until the following month and did not publicly acknowledge the mishap until the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported the class action lawsuit against the office as a result of the data breach.[23] Within a month of the breach becoming publicly known, it had cost taxpayers $1.2 million in credit monitoring services for those whose data had been compromised, and $395,000 for an audit into Kemp's handling of the unauthorized data disclosure.[24]
Kemp drew criticism again in 2017 when it was revealed that a flaw in the State voting system exposed the personal information of all of Georgia's 6.7 million voters, as well as passwords used by county election officials to access voter files, and went unfixed for 6 months after it was reported.[25][26] After a lawsuit was filed, a server at the center of the controversy was wiped, preventing officials from determining the scope of the breach.[27] Kemp denied responsibility, instead saying researchers at Kennesaw State University, who managed the system, had acted "in accordance with standard IT procedures" in deleting the data.[28] " ...from Wikipedia

The biggest problem is the insane amount of money that is in the hands of private individuals. 66% of all millionaires worldwide live in the USA. This fact massively influences politics, prevents real democracy and sensible social policy.
At the same time, the USA is the most indebted country in the world with now almost 25 trillion dollars. The dollar is the world's reserve currency. Nobody can foresee the consequences of a permanently growing US debt, even in this country.
By the way...the USA has the most debt in China with 15%. The US is also the world leader in private debt.
No other country in the world has so many people in prison, measured by the number of inhabitants. "Make America great again." Now in times of Corona, you're at the top again. Though she is the mayor of Las Vegas in Clark County, the Las Vegas *Strip* with its concentration of resort hotels and casinos is technically _not in the city limits of Las Vegas_ but sits immediately south of the city limits in the _unincorporated towns of Paradise and Winchester_ even though it is often referred to as being in Las Vegas. As unincorporated towns, Paradise and Winchester have no mayors and are governed by the Clark County Commission. The casinos on the Strip pay no taxes to Las Vegas but directly to Clark County. If you think this is a tax dodge by the casinos, it definitely is. Las Vegas is prohibited from annexing the Strip as part of the city. Therefore, the mayor of Las Vegas has no jurisdiction in re-opening the Strip. All that tax money flowing into Clark County and just out of reach of the mayor of Las Vegas.

No unemployment, no cash...we have families with kids that cant buy food here. Get your head out of your ass. We will wear masks...we can clean the damn counter tops. Starvation and homelessness is far more worrisome than a virus that came through Las Vegas months ago. This whole city was sick in January and February and no one tested positive for flu. My firends kids all tested negative and the whole school had it. This all stemmed from ces2020 convention where 150k chinese come here for a wk. Youre over there sitting high and mighty talkin about shit you know nothing about.
The governor is so compassionate that he earlier denied the use of proven drug HCQ for prescription by medical doctors when it can be useful. @Corona Pyrrhus quite a coincidence your username and your odious personality.
Thats the dumbest fuckin statement I have read. I am in Las Vegas and this damn guy has yet to pay out unemployment to damn near anyone. The entire system crashed, this guy has no plan to reopen, yet his union lobbied projects still are somehow getting built. We have people with kids here, no work for 5 wks, no money, behind on every bill they have, facing no ability to even buy food. This guy is talkin about 118 covid19 deaths? Nevada issued 81k death certificates here last yr...people die. Poverty also kills. Homelessness kills. Depression from losing your whole fuckin life kills. You feel warm and fuzzy inside? What are you fucking stupid?
If you decide to go for the heard immunity approach by simply reopening the economy here are the issues:
He's a good governor. It's smart keeping people safe and out of harms way.
He look like he is part of the mob

So much sense in this words & compassion in his voice. A true leader.
Nonsense yes. Leader? To a death camp shower.
I felt this mans heart in his speech.... Good to know that all of humanity isnt lost. ✊💙
Thank goodness for our governor. He’s a smart man listening to science. He’s saving countless lives.
is the Vegas mayor popular amongst her constituents? She was voted in 83% last election. but I also saw there were very few people who voted. confused how someone can elect a person with sense like that. Has she always been like that?
@@thomasbeck881 - Good questions. 👍 I thought I was watching an 80 year-old crack fiend while watching that interview. 😳
Apparently she can't run again due to term limits... I don't support term limits for elected officials, but in this particular instance that might be for the best.
THANKS Somebody has a common sense...
Victoria Rozenfeld that mayor sounded like she was on drugs 😂😂😂
“Logic or lack thereof” - amazing.
"Her logic or lack thereof" that pretty much sums it up...
...for some reason, I assumed that Nevada’s governor was a Republican. While listening to Gov. Sisolak talking in this video, I thought, “Wow. This guy seems reasonable, rational, empathetic, and lucid....pretty unusual for a Republican.”
I then went to his Wikipedia page. He’s a Democrat.
HAHAHAHAHAAHHAH that story had a arc.
Damn right he is a Democrat. You knew it all along by his tyranny.
🤣🤣🤣
It was also on the screen next to his name - (D)
you should read my comment about this whole thing above. Theres couple of things that aren't right.
@Stellarax Russia? Seriously? You're still dragging around that failed conspiracy theory? What's wrong with you idiots?
Love my governor, love my state, love my health. Love seeing someone who doesn't know me, care about me, my family, my friends, and other people we don't know.
Laura Culp bt your Mayor😑🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️#ACOMPLETEMORON
Deplorables are incapable of empathy! They love meanness and cruelty. Trump's a deeply wounded man and hurt people hurt people.
Girl... I’m jealous... 😫
What do you do for a living? Do you own a storefront business? How are you paying your bills?
I Love your State too Neighbors. . . God Bless
This must have been such a relief for Cooper after the interview with the mayor, I can't even imagine.
THANK YOU for some sanity in the state of Nevada, Governor Sisolak! Stay safe, the country needs you and more like you!!
this guy is smart and if i lived there i would be proud of him. Democrat too! Good job Governor
Please stop looking at these politicians as democrats or republicans. They are people at the end of the day that control people's lives. I call them dictators.. You are brainwashed. I have a mind of my own. Wake up. God is in charge of my life.
@@AtypicalM Which god? There are so many.
I live here and believe you me I am very proud to have him ad a Governor. What a God send he is God bless him ❤😇
No one should be in charge of your life, I feel sad for you...
@@raymondlee4838 That's basically what was meant, I believe. Now politicians are controlling lives.
She also told Anderson Cooper that social distancing in these businesses isn't her job. Actually, protecting the health, safety and welfare of citizens and visitors is the core responsibility of any public official's job.
Governor Sisolak is amazing, he was voted in due to his clear, quick and rational response to the Route 91 Harvest Festival when other state and city authorities wanted to brush details under the rug. I'm happy to see he had remained sensible, empathetic, and working to keep the best interests of ALL Nevadans at the forefront!
Both the Mayor and Governor are corrupt. They work with the mafia to enrich themselves. Sisolak was subject to a recall by Nevada citizens. They don’t like him at all
