Now that we have the NEW DLC 15 Dragon Ball Super Gohan From The new 2022 dragon ball movie it's time to do a comparison with how he compares to the DBZ Ultimate Gohan from 2016!

DBZ Gohan has more recovery, more stamina, and has the custom mentor perk. Im pretty sure you trade in all that for insane burst damage on DBS Gohan. I wouldn't call either of them better than the other, DBS Gohan is more of a sidegrade than a straight upgrade or downgrade because you can erase a whole health bar with DBS Gohan without that many inputs which is the best form of damage. Being able to do your damage quick instead of giving people an opportunity to vanish out before you can do any good damage.
Having custom status automatically makes dbz better. Doesnt help that even if dbs was custom he prolly wouldnt have as many options moveset wise, as in he'd fit with most of the newer mentors lacking sht like super afterimage. I dont see a scenario where dbz gohan *isnt* doing quick dmg himself anyway
Yeah, no. DBZ Gohan is objectively better. Him being customizable with moves like backflip and super ki explosion instantly closes the argument.
@@SoapyBowl if he had teen & future's moves i'd argue he's the best character in game, not accounting for outright bull like broly's grab tho. Imagine having both evil whirlwind & super explosive wave with that gohan's combos

I honestly use to get pissed by Ki stun players, now I just acknoledge that they need the training wheels. It's too hard for them to hit a moving target. They need the Ki stun to compensate for the lack of skill, take that away they loose everytime.
Yes and no people abuse but some people have a competitive mind where they use mechanics that are como to play kina like smash wave dashing and animation cancels so depends

For me superhero Gohan is better because of the low stamina, it makes you use your BRAIN, something that the majority of this community don't have and if they have it they don't know how to use it

DBS Gohan is worse. No custom means way less versatility and DBS Gohan has a Super Soul that hurts him way, way more than it helps. Yes, he might have slightly better supers and a unique ultimate, but I'm not sure if that's worth it for having a far slower Potential Unleashed animation.

@@IcyGBoi Yes, he has damage, but so does Z Gohan. They both do great damage in different ways, but one is way, way riskier, and that's Super Gohan.

Never understood the appeal of Ki Blast Cannon. Maybe I actually like my opponent having fun, maybe I don't use it enough, but it just doesn't do anything for me.

I was fighting my friend the other day and he picked hit with ki cancels so while I was using my frieza race and not ki canceling. The next match I chose Hit and ki canceled also and green barred him

Yk xv2's trash when just watching it gets you annoyed 💀 first game of this video is a *mirror match,* & your opponent is spamming more stuns than you are dashing into him spamming block- on a character that arguably has the most fluid recovery. Apparently the stam recovery z souls are instant now too? Why is there even a stam bar anymore? Oh lol 9:05 you went self aware with the block spam 🤣 i'd describe it as fishing to waste stamina, but being overencumbered *just works*

It depends, Z Gohan has the custom which gives him some unpredictability and souls like "Over here you idiot" which makes him a good endurance fighter. DBS:SH Gohan can output absolutely mental damage which gets amplified even more after perfect blocks, but he has a copious amount of issues, only has 6 bars of stamina, his version of Ultimate makes his stamina regen slower, some of his combos feel a little over committal, his soul makes him get stuck in stamina breaks longer, and he has the very particular issue of his evasive having stamina super armor instead of perfect super armor like most, scratch that, literally all other damaging evasives, meaning you can come out of your stupidly long stamina break, be forced to chunk 3 bars of stamina to block an ultimate (because yes his Spirit Slash takes 3 bars) and have said ultimate inhale the other 3 putting you right back into another excessively long stamina break and die. DBS:SH Gohan could be better if you can play him properly to minimize the extent of his problems, but overall DBZ Gohan is more versatile with far less drawbacks to play around.
I paid 8 dollars for 2 cool shark robot men with amazing super souls and new moves
And some 🤓 with reused animations no new skills and a mid super soul
Does Potential Unleashed boost stamina regen? Cause certain things like the Xenoverse fan wiki don’t say that it boosts stamina regen.

What I meant was SH Gohan's Potential Unleashed makes his stamina regenerate slower than it would if he wasn't transformed, not that it regenerates slower than the original Potential Unleashed for Z Gohan and cacs. Put a bit more simply, the base game Potential Unleashed has no effect on stamina recovery, but SH Gohan's version of it does and it's a negative effect.

Everyone's stats are lowered in PQs the only exceptions are CaCs and Custom Mentors

I must be the only human being that doesn't play customs (Only on Very Very rare occasions) Because everyone in the comments seems to always talk about the viability of a custom Character :/ I miss Tenkaichi 3 ..... just plain on dragon ball ans no ki stuns or ki cancels. funny thing is Xenoverse 2 Would be infinitely better without customs and Ki cancels/Stun.
Do you not remember bt3 having custom otpions? Xenoverse 2 at it's *"best"* is a blend of budokai & tenkaichi. Stuns being busted are irrelevant to inconsistent customization. Game wouldnt have the same replayability w/o it
@@mfspectacular I know there were sorta customs for BT3 But not nearly as broken As Xenoverse 2 ... the problem with xenoverse is they choice Customization Over Fairness.. and as we all know Fighting Cacs or custom cast character Is Very FAIR And BALANCED.. Even without All those broken things I can still kick you're ass... It doesn't take much IQ To play xenoverse . You can enjoy what you want but you have to admit that xenoverse 2 as a fighting game is incredible flawed.

Xv's prob is just lacking effort *everywhere.* Not even talking balance, we've got a ported over mobile game ala hero colleseum but no tournament mode? I remember bt3 had an extra tagteam mode (not in xv lol) where you had a certain number of points for your team, alot of characters literally not being playable together. Where's that (simple) creativity with the series *all about customization* 🗿 this should be a dbz game with something like halo or cod's custom game options, but for a 3d fighter. Imagine if you could disable perfect block stam drain, or replace basic stuns with instant charged ones? What about multiplying your hp stat? That's a balance prob noone talks about, everything a pocket nuke now but hp's stayed mostly static. Could go the opposite for balance, nothing wrong with broken sht *if it's implemented right,* xv2 doesnt bother where bt3 & budokai *tried*

Xenoverse 2. Kii Stuns/Cancels. Broken CACS And Custom Cast Characters. A bunch Of Re-used models for characters, Stupid Re-colors.. No different Fighting Pose/Style Depending On the Era or transformation. Like I can go on and on.. xenoverse as a game just has a BUTT Ton of problems... Low HP Bars, Super Souls. Male Earthling.. Copy and pasted Fighting Animations/Supers and ultimates.. ect ect... I Haven't touched Xenoverse 2 in like 4 months. I just play it rarely now.
