Judo, Ju-jitsu and Aikido should not be on this list as they really are very limited in there approch. First, they are designed solely for single combat, there is very little striking and virtually no weapon defense. In the street, as self defense goes, you will not find yourself fighting amonst people with honor, rather you will be met with chaos and chaos will require you to not take a fight to the ground nor will will ground fighting allow you to fight multipule oppenents.

MMA is NOT martial art in itself!!!!! It is an entertainment format where practitioners of different martial arts compete against each other!
Karate and high kicks??? Where on earth did you learn that BS? Can only be in modern competition environment! Can you find ANY of these flashy fancy high kicks in old Kata? NO! Because traditional okinawan and japanese clothing simply does not allow for such techniques! Karate is close-quarters-stand-up-grappling with tons of joint locks and throws, spiced up with a few punches, elbows, handpalms, ridge hands and knees. The highest kick in old Kata? Not above your own belt level! Please do some PROPPER research before spreading such misinformation! And Karate has never been a fully accepted olympic sport. It has been in the Tokyo games few years ago, but has been kicked out for the 2024 games in Paris, so it was only in the Tokyo games for introdutional purposes.

@@BestTops-c1x it was only on probation. It was not a fully integrated discipline. So it was not 100% olympic. Only 50%.
