    Very informative, and great video. You hit the main things. Focus and audio were excellent. Those two items kill a video more than anything if not done right. Keep ‘em coming!

    I use a Black Hawk Serpa for my G17 & G19 both work for me.

      I used a Serpa for a while as a duty holster and switched to Safariland. It’s all a preference thing. Blackhawk makes great products

    Nice review, clear concise, nice belt Rigg. The tech details,(U tube), will work themselves out thru practice.

    I believe you did a good job, thx for info! I just bought a Wolf tactical belt and love it, also the Esee Izula-II.

      Sweet. I have the Izula ll for EDC carry for one of my blade options. Sounds like you’re getting squared away on your equipment. Thanks for the sub and the comments. Be safe out there.

    I have lost many mags dropping them on the ground (not labeled) so I typically just take the L (btw, thank you for your service). Definitely a very well thought out battle belt….. I’m a long way off….. 2024 goals!

      @@Desert_Operator_5.56 I’m definitely gonna take you up on that. I’m a civilian learning as I go…. If I can fast track to what’s absolutely necessary, what’s not and where I can save money on, that will eliminate all the unknowns for me. As you know, some of these channels can be super convincing and make spend extra on things that are not needed or things that you can get the cheaper version of without jeopardizing quality. Thanks a million.

      My pleasure on any help or advice I can offer. I think a lot of people want all the high speed, low drag equipment because all the cool guys have it. I e seen lots of folks have high end gear and couldn’t shoot and or use the equipment to save their lives.

      It’s all molle. Just weave the pouches through the webbing on the belt. Easy

      No apologies needed. People can spend a lot of money on their setup. My gear when I was on SWAT was way more legit but it was used daily and definitely purpose driven. What gear are you running on your belt?

  • @SheepdogColumbus
    @SheepdogColumbus 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

    If you have to zip tie your gear onto your belt, you get better reliable gear, you don't just ghetto stack.

    • @Desert_Operator_5.56
      @Desert_Operator_5.56  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      It's not that the equipment is cheap or ghetto by a long shot. I got this idea from a retired Navy SEAL who has more combat and tactical experience that everyone on here combined. It's a failsafe to avoid Mr. Murphy from joining the party. The last thing someone needs is having their equipment come loose and not having it available when needed. Just stop for a minute and think about it.

      @@Desert_Operator_5.56 No brother, Frogman zipties things onto his belt that need to be held down better or tighter, there is no other reason to do it and nobody does it. You will never find a seal or any other vet who says to do this, because they don't and if you have some emotional attachment to a pouch that is a little floppy, by all means, zip tie it. Otherwise, there are a ton of good brands that make good pouches that will not be floppy. Your ifak is floppy because you have too much stuff in it. The way SF guys run their gear, is they all have their own smaller ifaks that are just there to help seal or plug holes, create or clear an airway, and that's it. Their ifaks are small. The medic is the guy who carries the bags like the one on your belt and bigger and further supplies are in vehicles. It's a system. Stop Tom from bleeding and stop the chest suck until we can get him to the medic - now Tom is with the medic - Stop Tom from bleeding out and get the extra air out of his chest until we can get him to a doctor within the golden hour. Again, if you need to better secure pouches to your belt, you get better gear, or your pouch is too big. It is what it is man.

      @@SheepdogColumbus I can see what you’re saying to a degree. There’s a ton of variables in every situation. I can what if shit until the cows come home but there’s never a perfect scenario on what to have. I don’t have a medic in my back pocket that’s readily available. What you’re referring to is just that. I’m not contracting or a team guy or in any unit that has this luxury available. I have what I have for my reasons and just because you’re not on board with it doesn’t mean it’s all fucked up, it’s what I feel I need. I don’t bang on people and take all that energy on other people’s page to make what they’re doing less than it really is. As far as gear goes, who cares if someone adds a .20 cent zip tie to a pouch for a little added insurance? It doesn’t mean their gear is subpar are cheap, it’s called being prepared. You keep doing you bro and do what works for you. If you don’t like the material I’m putting on here….move on✌🏻.

    • @SheepdogColumbus
      @SheepdogColumbus 11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @_Operator_5.56 Not moving on bro cause this isn't an argument to me, it's a discussion.
      You're purpose driven response makes sense and nobody can shoot it down because the reasoning is sound and the explanation negates everything above. However, there are better ways to go about it, if that's your goal. Now I'm no seal brother but I live in a military town and I've been training for 15 years with vets who are all better men than I, and one thing I don't think you're considering, is the amount of shit you CANT do when you have that massive ass wobbly pouch on your belt. When you need to move FAST, shit like that gets you, or your friend/teammate/brother hurt. If you're moving to a whole new area code, you're going to have a big ass pack anyway. There's just no point for the middle ground and the biggest reason is that if you're alone and you need that amount of medical to keep you alive, brother, you're not going to survive. So the whole (I'm alone) argument, though reasonably sound, is practically negated.
      Whatever you choose in the end, I'm all for it. This is a small variable in something we both love, because we're both responsible citizens who want to serve a good purpose so if you're out there moving and jumping and pulling yourself up on roof tops and hiking 10 miles and keeping up with the fellas, or are just impeccably moving with ease on your own, then heck yea man, cary that floppy bastard. All I'm asking is find a group to train with and train with movement. Real movement, and maybe you just wouldn't agree with your past self. If you do, come back and tell me and I'll be damn glad to take a tee bag to the chin cause I'm no better than anyone else and all I care to do is correct something I see needing correcting, unless proven wrong and I'm happy to take that. Either way, God bless and get out there and train. God bless Texas and God bless these United States.

      @@SheepdogColumbus Love Texas and appreciate your input. I agree that the IFAK is big and it has impeded my movement in a few situations. I think I went a little overkill on it. I consider everyone’s comments and advice and see your point 100 percent. I have no issues with admitting when things are dicked up and there’s a better way to do things. Hold it down out there and keep the comments coming bro. Be safe.
