How about " failed to update product image" this error I encountered when changing in to another ROM, my procedure when changing to another ROM as follow 1. Change filesystem to ext4 cache and data 2. Format Data 3. Flash desired ROM 4. Back to f2fs file system cache and data 5. Reboot to system Tel me what I mis, so that no more error 1 failed to update product image

The phone is bricked, unbrick with sp flash tool. Watch a tutorial on TH-cam. You can not flash any ROM on any device.
Worked on samsung galaxy a5 2016, installed lineageos succesfully after deleting this two lines of code, i made it on linux with only this problem.

If you get this while changing back to f2fs, then it's formatting error, try formatting from fastboot

File may be corrupt or you're flashing the wrong file, may be it's really made for other device
This helped me thanks. While I didn't have to modify any file, re-zipping the extracted files got rid of the error.
