1985 Chevy c10 Carb’d 305 Cold Start

Just an example of cold start on a carbureted 305 small block. The truck has a Quadrajet carburetor and has the stock air cleaner with hot air feed. It does not have the heat riser valve that was stock. That was removed when I added headers.
The truck is set to factory sticker spec for high idle and normal idle. For this truck that is 1800 RPM in park or neutral high idle, and 550 RPM in drive warm.
One note is that the truck was run the prior day, so the fuel bowls were full.
This is to show that carbureted small block chevies should start and run easily no matter the temp.

It's the original quadrajet. As noted, no heat riser / EFE. It does have a thermac on the air cleaner that runs from a tube on one header.
