I heard that Chris was working with his sister. Wow! That was a heartfelt performance with great vocals and arrangements. Who knew that Adam and Chris had such a talented sister! I can't say enough. Gender change was quite okay. I have heard it done thousands of times in my (almost) 77 years, and don't see any reason that should be a critical thing. I have heard you (Chris) sing with Home Free, but that is a new experience to hear you with 7th Ave. The whole group killed it!
The version is very beautiful, it has a very successful Brazilian group that made a version of Yesterday a capella, one of the most incredible ever produced. The group is called Roupa Nova.
This is sublime. I always thought Yesterday, at least melodically, was superior to Imagine and listening to this beautiful rendition reinforces my personal opinion. This is the equal best vocal song performance I have heard this year, the other being God Only Knows by the Manhattan Transfer. High praise indeed, This is just so wonderful though and the group didn't overkill it. Restraint creates beauty. What an amazing lead vocal too.
