I think Kristian Matsson has to be my favorite musician because although i go through music phases I always come back to his, and it feels like coming home.
Heard this on the Adult Swim Singles Program 2011, loved it ever since. Thanks for the post. The video matches the song as well. Sweet job man, cheers.
This song and his video remind me of the summer when I road my bike around town with friends. I feel like alot of tallest man on earth songs embody this feeling.
I remember hearing this song on CJSW 90.9 Calgary (best radio station ever) during a very significant period of time in my life and when I heard it come on, I had to sit in my car until it was finished playing then called the DJ to thank him for playing it. This song will always have a special importance to me.
Well I see the clouds, I see the shadow It’s rainin’ wolves outside our door We stand and watch through hesitation Cause they’ll be spread out there forevermore You said the sun’s behind the fallen It’s how the creatures heat their paws And lay their hands on my decisions And burn right through the books of sober loss Now there is something in the wild Here is a weather of a killing kind Silently pass their sleeping jaws now But I hold cymbals in my hands Don’t need no score to play this piece, no Don’t need no violins to lose a man Now there is something in the wild Here is a weather of a killing kind I drink for something when I’m nothing I drink for nothing when it’s gone And I feed the clouds, they are my shadow Cause I have raised the cubs myself alone Now there is something in the wild Here is my weather of a killing kind
Frank Berjim I thought it was 'violence' at first too, but everywhere I looked said violins, which actually makes a lot of sense when you look at the previous line, it's continuing the musical theme.
Came here via "These Days." First time I've heard this guy. Didn't care for the Jackson Browne cover, but this original is fantastic. Think I'll listen to it again, right now.
I've loved this man for more of 8 years and this is the first time that I've listen this song. I don't want lie, really it's one of the most beautiful song I've hearded in my life.
This Video makes me proud/happy to live in England. Hello form West Gloucestershire. If you open your window, you may be able to hear me blasting this song!
ahhh highschool.... i used to listen to this in the car on the way to school and home and feel like i was listening to art. i was, but back then it was more pronounced because i'd never heard anything like it
Well, you’re right. It would have been very stupid, because i would have missed so many other great songs. But - and thats funny - i just stumbled upon your comment while listening to this beautiful song again, so there was at least a little truth in my statement.
I like this video as well, it just seems to fit the song....not at contrived like a lot of videos....not trying to be pretentious....yes good!....and Kristian's song....I love it!
I wish I could watch ONE Tallest Man on Earth video without having to see a single comment about Bob Dylan. I love Dylan, but Kristian and Bob are TWO DIFFERENT ARTISTS!!
I'm thinking unless this dude changes everything about himself, you probably won't get what you are looking for , as youtube comments go ....the guy is completely brilliant, but I can't listen to one song without getting that feeling that until now, I only got when listening to Dylan ....
Your statement makes no since man it if did it would be a horrible search engine because those artists have considerably more views. Now if you put "The Ta" it should be near the top of the list. Since his work is oft titled under his band name instead of his real name.
Your comment has no punctuation, and I don't apologize for failing to make 'since'. My comment was not an assertion of fact, it was an opinion, and an opinion will never make sense. That is it's nature. For your sake, let's leave it at that.
i assume youre apologizing for making everyone who watches this video instantly hate their surroundings. cuz apparently you live in neighborhood of nothing but bob ross beautiful landscape paintings.

This is my younger brother's favorite song! RIP John. We still drink in troubles!!
To have one more hug at sunrise!!!
❤
This was my first time listening to this song. Wish it could be like that forever.
lampard4 seriously.
he'll be re-playing this live on his youtube channel in a day or two... what a dream come true
Heard this on the Adult Swim Singles Program 2011, loved it ever since. Thanks for the post. The video matches the song as well. Sweet job man, cheers.
I've loved this man for ages.. how did I not listen to this song before?! I am ashamed of myself. Perfection.

Well I see the clouds, I see the shadow
It’s rainin’ wolves outside our door
We stand and watch through hesitation
Cause they’ll be spread out there forevermore
You said the sun’s behind the fallen
It’s how the creatures heat their paws
And lay their hands on my decisions
And burn right through the books of sober loss
Now there is something in the wild
Here is a weather of a killing kind
Silently pass their sleeping jaws now
But I hold cymbals in my hands
Don’t need no score to play this piece, no
Don’t need no violins to lose a man
Now there is something in the wild
Here is a weather of a killing kind
I drink for something when I’m nothing
I drink for nothing when it’s gone
And I feed the clouds, they are my shadow
Cause I have raised the cubs myself alone
Now there is something in the wild
Here is my weather of a killing kind
The iraqi invasaion... every war, every battle, before and after. Thats what I thought about instantly.
Thanks for the lyrics, but...violins or violence? :)
Frank Berjim I thought it was 'violence' at first too, but everywhere I looked said violins, which actually makes a lot of sense when you look at the previous line, it's continuing the musical theme.
Im going to listen to this song till im old , for sure
It literally touches my soul and Imagination, words cant describe
Oh. my. I just fell in love with this song.
Ahhhh, the Westcountry... My home :) Lovely lovely music too.
I could watch this over and over again....perfect video for this perfect song.
Came here via "These Days." First time I've heard this guy. Didn't care for the Jackson Browne cover, but this original is fantastic. Think I'll listen to it again, right now.
Love this guys music, just came across him, and it's a real treat
Now...How does anyone NOT like this?
I love the part where the guitar slides down a fret and it goes down.. Anyone else think that short 2 second part makes the song?
No video can ever quite do The Tallest Man on Earth justice, but the beautiful landscapes certainly don't detract...
I've loved this man for more of 8 years and this is the first time that I've listen this song. I don't want lie, really it's one of the most beautiful song I've hearded in my life.
never been so layed back after listerning to this

I really do love the video. It is fairly simple and to the point but it just confirmes the atmosphere I feel when I hear the song. Just perfect.
It was a bonus track on The Wild Hunt in Sweden only, I believe.
This gives me a beautiful and new sound Bob Dylan vibe. ❤
i agree with the one below.
dont apologise
thanks for making this
Amazing
the video is amazing and the song is amazing so this equals....magical

It is more like a standalone single I believe, released between there's no leaving now and the wild hunt
I love this song, just as ALL of his other songs! How come he won't put this on his new album? Is it a cover? Lovely video aswell!
This is what life is supposed to be all about

WTF album is this from!!
..you said the sun..
..you said the sun.. =)
Anybody else think he sounds eerily like Bob Dylan
I know this is old, but I just listened to a Dylan song (Tomorrow is a long time) and remembered TTMOE after not having listened to him for years!
When typing in a search field, "ta" should bring up this guy before Taylor Swift or the Talking Heads. Just sayin',,,
It should just show up on everyone's recommended list, no matter what
except the Talking Heads are awesome too
Your statement makes no since man it if did it would be a horrible search engine because those artists have considerably more views. Now if you put "The Ta" it should be near the top of the list. Since his work is oft titled under his band name instead of his real name.

My comment has numerous points of punctuation... Not only is your original comment ignorant so are you.
Sounds a lot like Jimmy Page's Bron Yr Aur instrumental. That is a good thing.
i assume youre apologizing for making everyone who watches this video instantly hate their surroundings. cuz apparently you live in neighborhood of nothing but bob ross beautiful landscape paintings.
oh wait, u kant...
which album is this from?
