Rebecca’s chemistry with the rest of the crew is so good!
Rumors or not, take care of yourself, Gary. 🙏🏻 We need 70s year old Gary still clapping his hands and saying, “Right!” at the start of the pod.
What rumours?
What are the rumors?
For the comments above, at 0:26 Phil says ‘I heard yesterday you nearly died on a plane’ so I am guessing that’s the rumour?
@@Rafflewafflezso "take care of yourself, Gary" is a pointless sentence, unless he's actually piloting planes now..

Another great Overlap episode! The work ethic that is going into making so many episodes (and genuinely interesting episodes) should not be taken for granted. Well done Nev, Carra, and all invovled!
All down to pensioner hater Neville! He's a workaholic...
Kiss ass
Agreed. I do feel G Nev needs to slow down tbh

What on earth is that pronunciation from Carragher for Kovacic hahaha
These just keep getting better! If someone told me 5 years ago in 2024 I would be watching podcasts with the Neville brothers and thoroughly enjoying it, I would have said no chance. It's nice to evolve as a human being.
12:05 How did Carra butcher the pronunciation of Kovacic that much 😂😂
U mean kovacevich 😂
10 years ago, the idea of Gary Neville name-checking Rob McElhenny on a football podcast would have been unfathomable
Even as a scouser this is an eye opener ,also very honest from the Neville’s , great content and well presented, anzared
Love Gary’s treble trophies in the background
Should try and get Phil on every week or get him on the overlap
He’s got a really high pressured, full time job. As much as we would love that, it very likely won’t be possible.
I bet hes loving living in Portland Oregon. That place is a paradise with amazing weather & natural beauty. It’s not hot & miserable like Miami where it feels like you’re breathing in soup for 6-8 months out of the year. Your money goes a long way there too. A lot farther than in Miami.
Plus it's a town that actually loves football, the timbers have been around since the 70s predating MLS and you can feel it. The town really loves it's club.
Wouldn’t call it paradise but it nice to enjoy all four seasons and have the natural sites near by. Yes, we love our sport teams here! Both the thorns and timbers !

Why does Garry looks like he’s got safety goggles on hahaha
The fact the Wolves player didn't receive any repercussions for choking someone on the football pitch, tells you all you need to know about the referees and their bais against Arsenal.
@@mojoleaker bias against arsenal, please 😂 this is why no one takes you serious 😂
Get over it mate ffs 😂
Only reason it continues because rival fans troll each other instead of unionizing
@@user-kj9fs2zq7y unionizing isnt going to change the standard of refereeing unfortunately.
Delusion at its finest lol
What a guy Phil Neville is
I recall when United had an injury crisis and he moved into midfield to become an absolute destroyer.
What a lovely guy too
great episode, always loved Phil
Good watch this another great show from overlap 🤝🏻
6:49 Gary loves that neck shuffle
Absolutly loves it 😂
I hope it’s just a habit turned into a tic and not a symptom of something more serious.
In next weeks pod could we get an in-depth breakdown on how the US Soccer Federation needs to structure their youth system to match the likes of Europe's? Also, is money the distinguishing factor for not finding the best talent?
Great episode!
Ah glad you’ve got Phil on, I needed something to sleep to tonight.
Gary Nevilles Mrs Doubtfire glasses really bother me 😂
Oh God Gary is going to drop. He needs to understand it's not sustainable what he is doing.
I’m exhausted just observing him.
Yeah he seems like he's doing a lot. I mean if even Keane is telling him to slow down- hard task master. Tough man then u know he means it. And team mate obviously for years, like is good content. But he is doing a lot
He needs a mini retirement...
It's his job!
Christina is great. Hearing a ref's perspective is always interesting to me, regardless how poor I think some of them are in the PL.
I agree
Really impressive what Gary & Carragher have gone on to do post playing. Really enjoy their analysis & podcasts.
I enjoyed that
Gary looks like he’s about to go on a shooting range. 🤣
Phil Neville sounding like Gary Barlow. 😂
12:05 Who's Kovachavic 😂
Up the Blues, KRO
Garys tattoo idea "see phils arm"
First thing I think of regarding Haaland hitting Gabriel with the ball was when Rivaldo dived in 2002 when he got hit with the ball in the corner flag. Same situation? Red card?
Rivaldo one was pathetic and the acting after that was shambolic but haaland throwing the ball in the back of the head for giggles is stupid. He needs to control his emotions LMAO
The Haaland one is not a red card👍
Let's push how many fans we REALLY have by putting Phil Neville on here.
How many times does Gary use the word obviously!
kovacovic? 12:05 😂
Hahahhaa i just had to replay that part a few times to make sure my ears weren’t lying to me
Love Gnev but how much is too much?!
Where is the tattoo comment?
The ball throwing isn't a big deal it's a ball. That's it.
No mention of Michael Oliver (and 4 other EPL refs) being flown to UAE and paid £20k to ref one match overseen by the owners of Man City? They’re buying referees and no one has the courage to call it out.
They been doing it for years nothing new
@@dazamanday a conflict of interest isn’t a conspiracy
@@dazamandayit ain’t a conspiracy theory if it’s true. Confirmed that the refs were flown there and paid an inflated rate- it’s called an appearance of conflict if not actual, inherent. City dullard
This was a story last year...are you new?
lol
I skipped the referee section. I am tired of referees being highlighted every week. Some PL referees are rubbish and that won't change anytime soon.

Oh dear. The ‘yank’ euphemisms…
Painful.
Throwing a ball at someone’s head is a red card now according to Neville. FFS. 🤣
Nobody denying the yellow being given, but it’s the consistency that’s the issue. Carra gets so worked up about anyone other than Liverpool. Yet again he’s going on about the yellow and not the fact the same ref didn’t book doku this week or szoboszlai (not ignoring that due to Liverpool bias I’m sure) last week. Then again nobody’s surprised as Oliver is in the pocket of city’s owners with his trips to officiate in the uae. He doesn’t want to risk messing up his extra job paying him 13 times his normal salary
Completely different incidents you lot are embarrassing honestly
Arsenal is being targeted. Present facts to prove otherwise
Oi vey. Give it a rest.

It’s an English word for the sport. There was an English program called Big League Soccer in the 1980s. Google it.
Except for in the USA where American Football is played with the hands 🤔🤔😎
It feels very wrong to let people that are likely to choose Drump as their president to win the pull for naming the beautiful game...just wrong. And hearing British people calling it Soccer is gut wrenching...just Stop, it's FOOTBALL!
Yeah silly have Aussie Rules, rugby here. A League differs in quality to those two, even though/although don't think much of NRL aha. But yeah will still always call it football

Outstanding!
How many podcasts does Gary Neville do now🤦🏼♂️ at least 4
great comment
Only? That’s all?
Would City have restarted the game quickly with Silva on the ground in discomfort, I think no, so despite Trossard kicking the ball away did he delay the restart?
Mr. Gary Neville, you are always safe here in Chicago. I met your friend at the WC22 in Qatar at a pub and he spoke highly of you. My people will take care of it. GGMU
Phil saying Premier League managers are treated “inhumanly” is ludicrous 🤣🤣🤦♂️🤦♂️
of course Carragher says arsenal have to stop kicking the ball away. no mention of Szoboszlai doing the same thing. one rule for arsenal another for the rest.
Jamie, how could Trossard delay restart when there was a player rolling, writhing, feigning severe back pain? How do you delay restart with a player on the ground?
Love how none of what's being talked about is how bad that yellow card was. 😂 This is why Neville and to a lesser degree Carra are considered biased pundits. It's something like 0.6 seconds from the whistle to the kick. You're already in the motion of kicking. And the other team isn't trying to play fast. Obv ref error.
Cristina with great ref analysis there, big miss not penalising that shithousery - taunting would be the penalty in US Sports and fair point, if a Keane, Vieira, Carra type had seen that happen to a teammate, ref would have been hounded and if still no red card, bounty would be put up on Haaland.
John Buckley of Blackburn got a red for similar 🤷🏼♂️😳
I know it was a cheap joke by Neville about the Trossard pass being so bad it deserved a yellow but if you go look it's actually almost perfectly placed to where Martinelli is running.
I swear it's anything but talk about the main issues.
No timestamps.. Is everything after Phil Neville joins an interview of him? Thanks
Walker was back and what a load of cobblers about letting him get set,he was too busy yapping to a team mate,he was close enough if good enough to stop Martinelli and he wasn’t,and why when Arsenal take a free kick in the wrong place it’s highlighted more than when others do it
Does that 74 games unbeaten count the Madrid loss in the champions league? Or does that not count 🤣🤣🤣 let’s stop the false stat padding
Carragher saying that kicking a ball away is a more bookable offence than throwing a ball at someone’s head says everything you need to know about refereeing.
Nobody talked about actual kick being taken 8-10 meters ahead of original spot, what about that?
So the portland staff can stay there for 15'20 years just not good enough for phil 😂
A podcast for the american market and you get a referee on to talk about decisions…..fun fun fun
The Neville brothers could both play a character in the Adams Family.
Gary rockin those 1980s NBA goggles
Walker was already back and looking at the play. Sure he didn't get 5 seconds in that position but he was back. He defended the play fully and that player made a pass that led to a goal.
It was like Gary and Phil just met. 😂
Christina spot on about the Haaland incident. Excellent, clear and concise.
if Arsenal had won this game not one pundit would have brought this up about Haaland
Nev and Carra or Carra and Nev, which is a better set up as a management team
