Be great if you can get them, but as per usual with Preston’s gear it’s in short supply & delivery dates overdue. Alternative is a MAP which is virtually the same & available.
I saw these in my local tackle shop and even the owner of the shop said they are crap as he’s had complaints of water/rain getting in the zip where as the Maver ones which look identical have a rubber seal over the zip and are the same price. He even thinks they are both made in the same factory.
Maver hard case looks awful & cheaply made. & as is usual with Maver there’ll always be a flaw. Doubt they’re made in the same factory given the very different designs. I’d be more inclined to believe MAP & the Preston’s are manufactured in the same place given the similarities. It takes a lot of water to get through a zip & at the end of the day you’re storing poles that are designed for use in water. So what harm’s going to come from a bit of rain ingress?
@@Korvintage64 I am only going on what my local tackle dealer said and showed me, and the ones he showed me did look identical apart from the said zip.
Both Preston and Matrix suffer with the same problems not enough straps inside. Just returned my Matrix stuff was all over when you opened it. Worst buy ever definitely hasn’t been thought about enough. 👍
@@darrenhirst6163 👍 I have no problems with tubes at all. One for long top kits and one for f1 kits. If I needed a lot more kits to take with me every time then maybe I would make the change.
As usual Alan comes up trumps with his direct unbiased style. Could You imagine any politician like this ?
He’s got something of the Heseltine about him…

That’s why I’m happy still using my holdall. I can fit my pole, top kits, umbrella, landing net handle and a made up rod and rod rest if I wanted.
