If the CB and LB is bumped on on the R and Y, I run a corner from the F position and run double slants from the Y and R. Also based on the leverage of the safety the QB or F can change it to a post.
Coach, I was thinking about tagging the snag receiver with a crossing route. If the linebacker sits, of course the ball goes to the swing. However, if the linebacker clears out the middle, it leaves the middle open and similar to mesh, if its man keep going, if its zone, sit in grass. If the snag receiver catches the ball his defender is on his ass to tackle him. If he plays zone and get the swing then, he could sit in grass and get up the field with ease.
Two other ideas... Put Stick to the 3 receiver side...Read the drop of the Mike. If he works to the Trips, go to the snag side. If he sits or works to the back, bang the stick. Or, similar to the clinic the other day, keep the 2 man stick, and then just add Y Cross from the Trips side.
Coach, On snag, Noel Mazzone teaches a quick three step and read the swing to snag route. In essence, there is the snag concept in both stick and corner (if you swing the back). So my question is... why on stick/corner does the QB take a one step and not a 3 step? Thanks, coach.
I've installed a rule for the TB on the two man snag. He runs more of an Arrow and if the corner is playing the flats, the TB turns it up to a Wheal/Rail route. If no one is in the flat, he throttles down and sits.
Looks good may wanna even put sum play action on that fake that inside zone even more open move rb to the right have him leak to left flat that lb will follow snag wide open
@@CoachMcKie i love a more vertical attack mesh compliments it well but i like to use the rb on the mesh underneath like an option route rb steps up like hes blocking and hes the mesh route underneath the wr who setting the mesh i dont like that useless back side flat or wheel from rb
Question. Since I am totally blind, I am trying to make a mental picture of what a snag route looks like. I am under the impression it is very similar to a skinny post. Is this correct? Thanks in advance.
By the way, first time running air raid this season. We have dominated every team we’ve had 7v7s with and also beat DH Connelly in the Chowan U 7v7 tournament Championship.
Hey Coaches, I want to see all ya'll in the Ron McKie Football FB Group. All you have to do to join is click here: bit.ly/rmfbgroup
Brother your teaching is so good this caveman understands to the point of teachability...

Great adjustment coach.
This is a good playaction off Jet out of doubles: Jet guy runs the flare, slot runs skinny post, outside runs Scat
Great idea coach.
Facebook group...thanks for all you do coach
Thanks for the kind words coach. And here's the group bit.ly/rminstall

Coach to Run Chevron and Exxon together based off of 1 high and 2 high safeties. Which do you go with for each safety structure?
I like Chevron against 2 high and Exxon against 1.
Snag read is similar to mesh read. If its man, keep running. If someone is in front of him, sit in grass
We don't teach it like that. We just do a simple - I cross his face or he cross mine then I sit in the grass and show hands.

That's not a bad idea coach. Love the way you think.

Great adjustment coach. I bet defenses hate it.

You could do that coach. Once your kids understand the basics then you can start to expand.
