Some might feel trapped in that friendship bcz maybe it's an unhealthy friendship (not bcz they're toxic but bcz u might be toxic too but I'm not saying u are so don't take it that way) and they're too scared to say 'I don't wanna be friends anymore' (kinda lika how some cheaters cheat bcz they feel trapped in a relationship bcz of an abusive partner of whatever and they want out but they're too scared to break up so they cheat instead btw not saying that cheating is a good thing it's just that unfortunately bcz of the abusive ppl and relationships out there ppl might think that cheating is the only way to get out) and some do it bcz again, like with relationships, some people just don't love the person anymore, and the same thing can happen with friendships; your friend might not wanna be friends with u anymore but if they say that your friendship is over, they know that they'll hurt u. Btw, not saying that this is the reason between all toxic/fake friends some actually just don't give 2 sh!ts about u. What u should've done is talk it out wether u want to or not bcz otherwise if they actually still wanted to be friends with u /just felt trapped in the friendship they wouldn't be so confused over why they were blocked, and by doing that, you'll get a chance to hear their side of the story and why they were being fake/toxic, maybe it was a rumor, or maybe u upset them without realising and they wanted revenge but didn't see where to draw the line. However, that all depends on how you found out they were being fake/toxic, if they started bullying u, sure i get it, they're ur BFF, why would they do that? On the other hand if it was something like they didn't reply to ur messages, maybe u should take these things into consideration: Did they get a new phone? Did they lose their phone? Were they not allowed their phone? Did their phone break? Did they accidentally delete ur number? Did their chrger maybe break and their phone died of battery? Idk what ur situation is, and if they did something really mean, I completely understand, but, if it was a simple reason, well maybe that was a true friendship lost.
Moral of the story : never bully anyone even if there isnt a reason u could just be jealous, they could have a secret that will change ur life. Even in real life do not bully anyone it only makes u as bad as other people.
