I called a suicide prevention hotline when I needed them once and it was the worst experience I have ver had. They were so unhelpful and I had to wait almost an hour to get on the phone with someone. The person who answered just made me feel more alone than ever. I hung up. That’s when I really knew that if I was going to beat my anxiety and depression I had to do it on my own. No one has ever helped me.
