Looking back, I now realize that they seemed to like to match the female detectives with men who, realistically, they would never touch with a 10 foot pole. Most egregious was with Jill Kirkendahl, whose self-assuredness and strength made matching her up with a criminal loser completely implausible. This one was not far behind.
I don't see why you'd have trouble believing Ortiz would never touch this guy. He's good-looking, charming, successful, in the law-enforcement field like her. It can be hard to see the warning signs in a relationship right away, especially when you're in love.
This is 3-minute, _TV show,_ version of RL guys. They wouldn't say all these things _at once,_ but over a few months, *for sure!* And also the 'takes-them-for-granted, until they leave- then 'can't live without em'!, Type is very common. Character is like Store Bought Orange Juice, vs Fresh OJ, he's a _concentrated version._ 🙂 They often make the Headlines, right??

His g/f saw this and saved me by telling him to "let him(me) go ". He outweighed me by 50 lbs, but I was too knucklheaded to apologize for standing up to him 😄😄😁
The continuity on this show is something else. Tony is hanging out with Rita @ bar then in the next scene he acts like he barely knows her.
