    For Vlog #6 I teach you to give yourself (or someone else) an intermuscular (IM) injection with NO pain--really! Common medications given IM include: hormone replacement therapy for men and women including trans folk, fertility treatments, and vitamin B-12 shots. This is NOT the technique for giving subcutaneous (SQ) injections such as insulin.
    The main "trick" is actually evidence-based! That is, it is supported by actual research. Here is a link to the article: journals.lww.c...
    This video is actually a re-make of a one I posted ten years ago which has gotten over 1.8 million views. Clearly people found it helpful. If you want to see the old, amateurish vid, follow this link: • 💉 Painless Self-Injection .

    This is for anyone who still couldn't do it!!!
    I watched the injection part a handful of times and sat around for HOURS, trying to convince myself, and couldn't bring myself to do it. There was something about stabbing it fast like a dart that I just couldn't do. If this applies to you, try this; For some reason, it occurred to me that maybe doing it slow would be easier for me since I know the needle is very small and sharp. I figured I had nothing to lose because I was in full control and could stop at any time or if I felt pain. All I did was press it against my skin, apply slight pressure, and it went in almost effortlessly and painlessly. It went in far enough that it was easy to just keep pressing it in. None of it hurt whatsoever. Including pulling it out. I still stretched the skin as recommended, but I also bled a decent amount. I'm sure that was because of my method. Good luck! Please let me know if this helped anyone. 🙂

      @kfl611 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +7

      I saw a video, where they say once you have given yourself the jab and the needle is in your skin, support the needle next to your skin, so it is not moving in a circle under your skin. With the needle stationary, it should hurt less, bleed less and help your medicine inject easier.

      " I love how inclusive it is for anyone who might need to self-administer." Of course you do, you too are a leftist. Politics has NOTHING TO DO with self administering a shot. It matters not why those watching are injecting and the majority of people have anxiety or they wouldn't be here. Addtionally, the majority of people injecting are men with low T and their politics dont matter, they have to inject whether they're right, left or center. So politics should never be brought into this. But that difference between yourself, a liberal, and me, and independent. I respect people enough not to cram my politics down their throats.

      So I’ve been doing my IM shots in thigh with a shorter, 25g x 5/8 needle (what I used before for the subq) and I have almost zero pain now.

    Injecting in a hot shower helps big time imo. Oil thins out, muscle is more relaxed, and the skin is a bit "softer". Expanding the skin on the injection site in the shower is also a huge benefit. You can also use a half inch 100 IU insulin needle in you deltoid, thighs, chest, calves, ect.... You just need to back fill it with a larger need to draw up the oil.

      @creativeself7147 ปีที่แล้ว

      You didn't inject it intramuscularly though, did you? B12 should almost always be used through an s.c. injection. Most B12-Solutions can be used through IV, IM and SC injection but unless there is already an intravenous catheter attached or you have some tissue illness that doesn't allow for s.c.-injection, you should ALWAYS go for the subcutaneous injection as it is by far the one with the least amount of risk. I.M and I.V always come with a comparably high risk. Even though we have a pretty good understanding of the general location of veins; it still happens pretty often that a simple IM injection paralyzes a person for life, because a significant nerve was accidentally hit and cut.
      I.M. should only be used over S.C. if the medication is specifically only allowed for S.C. (like most insulins or heparin and enoxaparin for example) it needs to be absorbed rapidly and an IV would take too long to administer due to bad veins. Classic examples would be Morphin and Midazolam in emergency situations.

    • @Rachel_Ryder
      @Rachel_Ryder 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@creativeself7147 yes, B12 is prescribed and administered IM. I highly doubt it happens “pretty often” that IM injections paralyze a person for life. Don’t fear monger.

    I'm here to show my gratitude to you. A little over 3 years ago, I had zero knowledge about these stuff but wanted to use testosterone as I just started going to the gym. I jabbed myself for about 3 weeks (twice a week) but stopped as it was too painful. I've been using orals (D-bol) ever since but they're horrible on my liver.
    I've decided to jump back into the test game. Did proper research, asked my gym buddies (that's using) and watched your video. Back then, I used a 19g needle to jab myself and they hurt. I'm using 23g now and used your method (minus the coughing) and I don't feel a thing! It's going to be easy from here on out. Thank you yet again!

    Only thing I did in addition was doing a few practice jabs on an orange with another needle to get an idea of what it would feel like and get the motion down.

    I wanted to try the dart 🎯 + cough method but at the same time I wanted to see/feel the pain I was “trying to avoid” with the dart 🎯+ cough method so I did it really slow.
    Cleaned the area, stretched the area and applied the injection slowly, to be honest, there is very little, very little pain doing it slowly. I’ll try the dart 🎯 + cough method one of this times.
