I doubt you still look at the comments for this video but my grandma is having health problems and is no longer physically able to sew and has been depressed since she can’t craft. I found this yarn at Joann’s when I was on my shift and thought she could do it. Thank you for this slow repeating tutorial I’m going to use this to teach her how to make things with this yarn to hopefully cheer her up. Wish me luck!
I know so many years later that was going to the comments because I am just now a beginner of myself with the loop yarn saw your comment and thought it was precious
UPDATE APRIL 2024!! It's my tradition now to make everyone their baby blankets and I have made a total of 6 🎉 I could not have done these baby blankets without you I had alot of fun learning, to tell you the truth I replayed how to actually start the first line 100 times because I just wasn't getting it but I did and now I have 2 baby blankets all done!!
I've seen a couple other videos on working with this yarn, they were very well taught, but looked kind of boring. I wasn't going to try loopy yarn because of that. Then I found this video, OMG!!! Game changer! I love the texture in this! I'm buying yarn today for a throw and cant wait to get it! Fantastic tutorial, perfect, really! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
A very detailed and perfectly clear video tutorial for the Puffy Yarn. I relied on your video ENTIRELY for my very first 50 loop baby blanket from start to finish, thank you so much!
Your tutorial is very good. I watched what you were doing and then tried it. I have a Tunisian crochet hook and I started using that to make this easier for me. Thank you so much for the tutorial.
Thank-you! Great easy to follow video. I literally went to JoAnne’s Fabric for a camping craft, found the yarn, googled what to do with it, found you and in three days I’ve completed my first loop baby blanket. I don’t know how to share my pic or I would:)❤️
Girl in a store I was in today to just buy some fabric convinced me to buy this but now I realized i have no idea what I'm doing so thanks for the tutorial
Thank you so much I made my first blanket using your tutorial and it turned out so pretty 😍 it was hard the first 2.rows and them you get the hang of it and becomes so easy and stress releasing to just keep repeating the steps💕
So many negative comments. To mean you seem to explain well. With any new project you should never be in a hurry. I am going to be a grandma for the first time. This blanket is new for me. I am certainly going to give it a try.
I love this blanket. Excellent instructional video. I had to pull out a few rows 4 times. I rewind and replayed video, paused and watched in slow motion but I was determined to get it. Around the 5th row it was smooth sailing. I discovered a mistake in the border after 6 rows...I left it there and kept going. I turned my blanket into a hammock for my 3 rescue kittens. I left the tails and attachment tails hanging to give the kittens something to play with. Please add more patterns. I have a box of 24 rolls in a grab bag from Michaels for $4.00. That's right 16 cents for my blanket. I love a DIY and a bargain. I wish I could show you a picture....Soooooo cut with kittens napping and hanging out. I'm gonna try your crochet loop stitch next...another project for the kittens. Thanks
I just love your videos ! I have learnt how to do so much with your teaching... I'm excited to make this for my granddaughter. Thank you for such great teaching videos.
Thank you for this video. I had wondered if there was a specific use for this yarn and now I know :-) It almost looks like it is knit. Really like the look. Very pretty for a baby.
I just started using loop yarn and I am completely addicted! Tried this pattern and it came out great and EXACTLY as pictured. For those starting out, the first row is ALWAYS the most confusing and toughest to complete with any pattern using loop yarn. Once you get to the 3rd row it get's much easier and actually fun. Thank you so much for the video. I would like to kindly add that there is a much easier way to add a new skein to any project. Here is the link-th-cam.com/video/FCO3Zlx7inw/w-d-xo.html.
Hi how many yards are on the loop yarn that u used and what size yarn is it also what size baby blanket did you make with 5 skeins of the loop yarn? Thank you. Loved your video!
Please tell us how many loops you used and how many skeins are required to make the baby blanket size 32 x 39? Thank in advance for sharing the information. Can you tell us how to figure out this information on how to figure out the number of starting loops and number of skeins need to making throws, ect.?
i love this new yarn stuff how ever i have found its easier and faster for me if i use a 6.5 mm croce=het hook,,it helps me get a good solid hold of the loops and in one fell swoop its through,,using my fingers im constantly trying to get the loop through the front loop ad somtimes i grap it wrong and screw up the yarn,,so for me this larger hook makes it faster and easier,,its still through ,,pick up throudh and drop but im better off with the hook
I’m glad you said that, using a crochet hook was the first thing on my mind when I started looking at these videos. Apparently you crochet a lot and like to save time and your fingers. Although it’s great learning the correct way before improvising.
Depends on babies size/age. My Grandson has one I made when he was born and he is just shy of 2yrs now. I used 3 Skeins allowing for (50 loops) approx 39" x 39".
I’m very new to crochet in general, this seems to be a great starting point- thank you. How many bundles did you use and how do you incorporate the next bundle?
Meghan Dalton I’m thrilled for you Meghan! Wish I really could see :) I’ll start with 3 bundles as well. Will write back here and tell you how it went :) good luck!
Mmy sister send me a bunch of loop yarn.i was very excited started crochet. Patterngot SeveralI rows done Turned my wotk found i had dropped loops and had to tear it all out. Did this several times got very frustrated and put it all away
Maybe try the first few stitches to be from the back only then do the knit & purl stitch back & forth until the last few loops at the end... it helps from curling in standard knitting.
How do make sure it doesn't unravel? After you wash it, does the yarn unravel? Do I need to sew the end into the blanket?? Or just loop the end piece through the loops as shown???
Hi Jacqueline. I'm surely no expert but have crocheted a few things in the past. As long as we follow the finishing off procedure that she shows us near the end of the video, we'll be fine.
I have tried 1000000000000000 times I can’t keep up either it is way to hard if you want to work with this kind of yarn you have to be an expert while I have never Evan felt knitting needles
I watched another video and a lady was making a 50x 60 and she said you would need 70 loops across. Of course don't forget the 2 extra for the tails. So hope this gives you an idea. Oh and you will need 7 skeins of yarn for the 50x 60. So I am figuring you will need 14 skeins. Need anything else I will try to help😊 GOOD LUCK
1000 Subs with trash videos challenge I completed the blanket but the back doesn’t look like the front. The back had lines across it and the pattern isn’t the same. There’s no space between the columns of loops. You’ll understand what I mean when you start making it
What I noticed from watching TL Yarn Craft video is that one side will have the knitt stitch and the other side will have the Purl/Garner stitch. I believe you did it right, I don’t know how you would have the knitt stitch on both sides, but I’m open to suggestions.
CJ Spicy that’s what happened to me. It’s because the line on the bottom of the loops make a horizontal line and every row on the back. It still made a nice blanket though.

Thank you for your illustration of how to work and the blanket you made look so nice and cute thsnk you again❤
Oh gosh. I may just finally understand. Sorry I’m two year late to the party! 😂 trying again in the morning. Bless you!!

This was the clearest easiest video to follow w. And thank you for not making us go through an actual size blanket. Love your tutorial!
This type of yarn was gifted to me and I didn’t now how to use it, thank you

Very clear tutorial, thank you. I just started a baby blanket.
Thank you for this slow repeating tutorial. I'm using this to help me learn loop knitting for Occupational Therapy for my MS.
I like your method of knitting with the loop yarn. It's beautiful. I agree!!!
Same for me, cuz I love the alize yarn it's so good
I have watched 4 or 5 tutorials now, but yours is the only one that alternates front and back..
Same i was wondering what the purpose of it was, like if it made it more sturdy or something.
Fantastic tutorial, thank you! I’m making a baby blanket for my daughter and hope it comes out as beautiful as yours did.
This pattern is SO pretty!!
Amazing, just found 9 new skeins at the thrift store! Going to make a blanket for my nephew

I just love your videos ! I have learnt how to do so much with your teaching... I'm excited to make this for my granddaughter. Thank you for such great teaching videos.

Love the "ribbing" pattern. How many skeins should it take for a baby blanket?
I used 6 :)
Linda Ramge
Skeins?
Depends on babies size/age. My Grandson has one I made when he was born and he is just shy of 2yrs now. I used 3 Skeins allowing for (50 loops) approx 39" x 39".
This type of crocheting method is soothing. I am so glad they came out with it. I am on my 3rd baby blanket now.

How long did it take for you to make the big baby blanket from start to finish?
I’m very new to crochet in general, this seems to be a great starting point- thank you. How many bundles did you use and how do you incorporate the next bundle?
I just started today and I'm start with 3 bundles
Meghan Dalton Hey Meghan, good luck with this! I’m going to start next week. Would you mind telling me how many you need in the end?

Meghan Dalton I’m thrilled for you Meghan! Wish I really could see :) I’ll start with 3 bundles as well. Will write back here and tell you how it went :) good luck!
Is that for a 50 loop across blanket? Thank you!
Beatiful
ÇOK teşekkür ederim ellerinize sağlık
How many yarn you need to buy for this size blanket???
If you use 50 loops for the width of the blanket...how long do you go for the length? When do you stop on the length?
Martha Goldblatt this is up to you to decide how long you want the blanket to be
Thank you for sharing can’t wait to try it
Thank you this was very helpfull
What size are you making these blankets - are you making for pram or cot? Any dimensions you could mention would be great to give me an idea, TIA
How do you prevent the sides of the blanket from curling?? Mine curl onwards towards the back and idk why!
How many rolls of yarn would you need for newborn blanket approx 50x70cm? Thanks

Same for me
Wow amazing thank you so much.

How many packs of yarn did you use for the big baby blanket
How many grams of yarn would I need for a baby blanket??
How many skeins of loop yarn do I need to make a blanket
I tried making a baby blanket but it's not coming out right so maybe if I learn some tips from you I do it better
Maybe try the first few stitches to be from the back only then do the knit & purl stitch back & forth until the last few loops at the end... it helps from curling in standard knitting.

Good evening! Please, what code does this color have? Thank you!

You are turning and twisting it so much that I can’t follow.
I agree. I can't keep up with this video. Sorry, it's a nice idea but I'm still so confused.

Will this DIY work for making a chunky knit blanket?
That's what I'm going to do.
tankyou so much
The sides of mine seem to want to curl what can I do to prevent that? Or did I do something wrong?
Hi! Ive been doing this for 8 years :) All you need to do is loosen them a bit, if you cant do that, place it under a book :)
I'm from India.. Is this yarn available here.. ??
I tried to make it but something went wrong and I don’t know what I did wrong
1000 Subs with trash videos challenge did you try to make it
1000 Subs with trash videos challenge I completed the blanket but the back doesn’t look like the front. The back had lines across it and the pattern isn’t the same. There’s no space between the columns of loops. You’ll understand what I mean when you start making it
